GRogall Posted August 12, 2010 Posted August 12, 2010 Did anybody notice the kid in black has two faces! Quote
Ricecracker Posted August 12, 2010 Posted August 12, 2010 You know, some people might misinterpret that second to last picture. On a serious note, the set is chock full of great and useful colours - like the Nougat parts and the Tan and Medium Blue tiles. A Medium Blue 2x4 tile would've been nice instead of two 2x2s, though. Erdbeereis Posted August 12, 2010 Posted August 12, 2010 Some people are going to have a field day with this one. Quote
Emperor Claudius Rome Posted August 12, 2010 Posted August 12, 2010 Wow, this has a nice, cozy warm holiday feeling to it. It makes me feel warm and fuzzy. I might have to get this one this holiday. Quote
Mrlegoninja Posted August 12, 2010 Posted August 12, 2010 Thats Amazing ! I might reconsider buying it, but only if it isn't too expensive. Quote
Superkalle Posted August 12, 2010 Posted August 12, 2010 Hey, what's going on here? Is the little guy taking advantage of the girl when shes saving the guy in the snow? EDIT: Now I saw Eerdbeereis comment Quote
Sandy Posted August 12, 2010 Posted August 12, 2010 Hey, what's going on here? Is the little guy taking advantage of the girl when shes saving the guy in the snow? He obviously isn't having a very good time doing it, though. Poor boy... Quote
Emperor Claudius Rome Posted August 12, 2010 Posted August 12, 2010 It looks like to me that the girl is making the kid do it. Must be his teacher But this set looks really nice, it just has that holiday feeling that makes you feel so warm and squishy. Quote
vlai23 Posted August 12, 2010 Posted August 12, 2010 Now I'm even more excited for this set. That sad face on the kid made me laugh a lot for some reason. Also those must be expensive baked goods the lady is buying; I wonder if they have some sort of special ingredients. Quote
Temet Nosce Posted August 12, 2010 Posted August 12, 2010 Looks fantastic, I'm gonna buy the winter toyshop tomorrow, then this will have to be purchased as well to compliment it! I have to say tho, it doesn't look as big as 10199 Winter Toyshop, maybe because that included a house and a large tree, where as this has a house and more little vignette pieces. Quote
Lord Arjay Posted August 12, 2010 Posted August 12, 2010 What exactly were they thinking when this was taken. Clearly the boy was made sad so they wouldn't have to use the other side of the reversable head. The hi-res photos really make the set look good. It is simply a must have for me. Well, it will be as soon as I buy the Winter Toy Shop... Quote
prateek Posted August 12, 2010 Posted August 12, 2010 Hmm... the building looks pretty small, but I like the carriage, and the guy stuck in the snow is hilarious! But, I'm afraid we won't be able to build it completely on LDD Quote
Svelte Posted August 12, 2010 Posted August 12, 2010 Thanks for the new pics! The dark red/ nougat colour scheme looks good - I was going to try a modular building using that scheme one day, now I won't have to You know what I'm most excited about? Plain nougat 1x1s! Having done a large-scale building in that colour with the bricks available, it's really hard to resolve certain issues with only the 1x1 clip brick in that shade. Yays for 1x1s! I wish the skate pond was trans medium-blue but from these pics it looks like trans light blue. Yuks! Quote
-JD- Posted August 12, 2010 Posted August 12, 2010 That set is so cute and a great buy if you ask me. The warmness of it all makes it better than the Winter Toy Shop, and that little pond it shaaweet! Quote
lightningtiger Posted August 12, 2010 Posted August 12, 2010 AW IT'S CUTE ! Yeah I want one for Christmas and that poor who-ever stuck in the snow eh ? A light brick oven - so COOL ! Such awesome detail....oh yeah that horse and cart combo.....sweet ! I'm a conformist! everyone ! Quote
RoryoCox Posted August 12, 2010 Posted August 12, 2010 Those pictures bring a warm feeling to me. I am really excited for this set especially those warming colours. The pond and cart make great additions. Some nice minifigures as well Quote
Mr. Elijah Timms Posted August 12, 2010 Posted August 12, 2010 Great stuff-- what a fun, lighthearted set. Absolutely sold on it. Quote
Baylego Posted August 12, 2010 Posted August 12, 2010 I can't wait for this set! I hope they won't be sold out too fast this year. I love all of the little details in this, and I notice lots of parts in rare colors, like orange ice cream! Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 Ah, what a lovely set, the interior details of the bakery are great, and nice selection of colored parts - very useful indeed. Thanks for the pics as usual grogall. Quote
CarrollFilms Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 This is a great set, very detailed, very nice transparent baseplate, hope it's under $100 or else this is a rip off set. Quote
Pugsly Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 (edited) [Those are some expensive trees!!!! $100 for a small and $200 for a large tree!!! [/size] Edited August 13, 2010 by Pugsly Quote
Svelte Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 What on earth are you babbling about? And please do not type in large font. Quote
ZO6 Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 I'm personally very satisfied with the set. It may not have the same wow factor as the winter toy shop, but I'm extremely pleased TLC has put the effort into putting out a similar product. The set is very pleasing to the eye and will no doubt look great on display - particularly when combined with its predecesor. Thanks for the high res. pictures. Quote
