On the outskirts of PBR, where the Empire guards its territory, lies a tower with a pair of TIE-Escorts. Their job, to protect incoming and outgoing ships as they enter PBR airspace. These two Escorts launch from high above the landing zone and cover the skies, looking for intruders.

Good MOC! I like the ships, although they are somewhat simple, they get the job done. The landing area is cool too, while not stylized, it also gets the job done- very well. Fight on, Imperial!

Interesting MOC'ed Tie's you have there 'Col. Brik' - perfect for chasing rebel scum ! :vader:

I'm a conformist! ! :sweet:

Thanks!

Thanks!. The landing tower is still a work in progress, the kids can only reach so high, so I'm trying to strengthen it a tad before adding more.

Interesting tie's you have there, I like them and I really like that land tower

Thank you. They where built because my son wasn't happy that any other ships he had wouldn't fit on the tower. Now that they are finished I am trying to upgrade the tower to handle them :classic:

Very nice. The only thing I would suggest is taking away some of the red and green pieces and making the ship more Black and Blue or Grey. That is if you are looking for movie-accuracy.

Good advice. I put the red and green to mimic the actual landing lights you see on planes.....The white bricks on one and red bricks on the other where specifically put on to keep Son #1 and Son #2 from fighting over which ship is who's. One issue I always have, which is a good one.

"Honey, I have to buy two sets, I couldn't tell one of our kids I didn't buy him one, and they would fight over just one...."

Ah, works every time.

Awesome ships, but I don't really get a TIE feeling from them. But besides that I really like it.

Lack of side wings? I may add some and see. I thought the VTOL was a different path I hadn't seen done. Of course....Since it is Star Wars, they really don't need VTOL since they basically do it without the turning of the wings.

I see what you are getting at, if I upgrade them I'll repost some new pictures.

Thanks for the comments!

I like them. THe rotating hover jets or propulsion units really make this unit fun.

Reminds me of curent day hovercrafts, or those crazy helicopter planes.

Nice work, I like the small station you have to go with them too.

That's a sleek looking ship you have there Col. Brik, good job! The design is quite original for a SW ship.

Thank you!

They look great! They remind me more of the Corporate Sector Authority's IRD Starfighters more than TIEs though.

Either way, great work! Especially on the base!

I had never seen that ship before, you are correct, it does look like it. Thanks for the comments and link!
