puriri Posted June 14, 2010 Posted June 14, 2010 A ship that's been sitting on my table for nearly a year. It's high time to scrap her, so here's some pictures of the HMS Happy. Heavily based on the HMS Surprise from the Master Commander series/movie. She holds 14 guns. Lack of the right pieces and motivation stopped the project so: I believe I'm one of the first to use the hull base part without the ends. But correct me if I'm wrong. Hope you like her. Puriri Quote
Big Cam Posted June 14, 2010 Posted June 14, 2010 Too bad it's getting scrapped, it looks like it has promise. The deck is so nice and open. Oh well, hopefully those parts will get used in something even better! Quote
Siegfried Posted June 14, 2010 Posted June 14, 2010 Do you have any photos of the stern and bow lower down? Quote
General Redwater Posted June 14, 2010 Posted June 14, 2010 (edited) Very nice ship! I'm sad that you'r going to scrap her, she looks really good. Lack of the right pieces and motivation stopped the project so: I know what you mean, I'm currently working on a ship, but I ran out of the right pieces, so it looks less detailed than I would like it. Overall great job! - General Redwater Edited June 14, 2010 by General Redwater Quote
Capt.JohnPaul Posted June 14, 2010 Posted June 14, 2010 Oh my gosh, it's beautiful and awesome. Please don' scrap her! Quote
Kerntechniker Posted June 14, 2010 Posted June 14, 2010 It's a pitty, but every ship leaves some day the sea. I Hope to see a new one from you soon. Quote
puriri Posted June 14, 2010 Author Posted June 14, 2010 Thanks for all the great comments guys! I would like to finish her but I'm really not that motivated right now. I do have another ship that I'll post soon though. Here's some pictures of the stern. Unfortunately the bow isn't in a shape to be photographed. Quote

Zorro Posted June 15, 2010 Posted June 15, 2010 I am impressed by your work, Puriri, the stern is amazing, I also like the colour schemes you used for your HMS Happy and the front is pretty well done. Thank you for sharing! Quote

Captain Blackmoor Posted June 16, 2010 Posted June 16, 2010 A very nice ship, sad though she gets scrapped. The colours are very nice and the open deck looks nice. Especially the stern is very nice. :pir-happy: A very nice job, and perhaps some other ship will leave your dock later on. Quote
