just2good Posted June 15, 2010 Posted June 15, 2010 Nice MOC! The only problem I see is that the eyes aren't really attached. Quote

sok117 Posted June 15, 2010 Posted June 15, 2010 Thats downright adoralbe, I love it, but have you ever considered using decals? I think it would look great, but you would have to apply them covering more then one piece Quote
Commander Flash Posted June 15, 2010 Posted June 15, 2010 Ha! Thats pretty cool, both look perfect to their cartoony selves. good job. Quote
prateek Posted June 15, 2010 Posted June 15, 2010 This is one instance where I wouldn't mind having stickers. Otherwise, this is a great car, and the shape looks great Quote

XimenaPaulina Posted June 16, 2010 Posted June 16, 2010 YES! YES! YES! I love it! Fantastic work AllanSmith! I simply love how smooth you made McQueen, your building techniques are pretty clever for a small vehicle. Even without decals, it is easily recognizable as McQueen (and Mack). Will you be doing some other 'Cars' as well? Maybe Mater? Quote
Asterios Posted June 16, 2010 Posted June 16, 2010 Mac looks better then lightning does in my opinion. Quote
LuxorV Posted June 16, 2010 Posted June 16, 2010 Nice addition to this theme, AllanSmith! The eyes seemed a bit strange (too much out of the sockets ) at first; but when next to Mac, they gain the right perspective . Quote
WhiteFang Posted June 16, 2010 Posted June 16, 2010 Nice one, but I do find the eyes a little "popped" out. Other than that, it's a good one. I will move this over to the Licensed section. Quote
lightningtiger Posted June 16, 2010 Posted June 16, 2010 AWESOME 'Allan' really awesome ! Stickering will send this one in to orbit ! Great work again and I'm a conformist! ! Quote
Superkalle Posted June 16, 2010 Posted June 16, 2010 Yes they are Blu-Tack In my mind the MOCs are nice as they are without having to resors to that sort of technique. Kind of blurs what is Lego building and what is not. Quote

tedbeard Posted June 17, 2010 Posted June 17, 2010 There are lots of "eye" stickers. I wonder if something off of this would work: Quote
Batbrick Posted June 19, 2010 Posted June 19, 2010 Very cool AllanSmith! You've certainly captured Lightning McQueen's look very effectively, though I'm not sure on the mouth. Because the truck was so much bigger the deepness of the mouth worked fine, but here it looks a little more like he's pulling a face. Still, that's my only criticism, and its a bit of a minor one, the rest looks fantastic. And I don't care about the bluetac eyes since I did the same thing to get the "talking" lights on my Daleks. Batbrick Away! Quote
