That would be from me! The instructions are in the first post of the Mafia Games Index, everything you need to provide is listed there. Once your game has been approved/feedback given, I'll also provide you with the Hosting Questionnaire which acts as a final checklist to make sure nothing has been missed.

I really hope poor little Chillax Darth Frodo gets the chance to play this time. He hasn't came out of his room since he wasn't accepted for Police Infiltration. :cry_sad:

Mafia Reminder - Playing in 2 Games at Once

With two mafia games currently launching, it's important to remember that not participating actively in a game that you sign up for may result in ineligibility for future games. At the very least, it's rude and will look bad on your permanent record followed by death.

Therefore, for the sake of the other players, playing in two games at once is not allowed in the current situation. It would be ridiculous to be in a school game and what will certainly be a very advanced one (just as it's impossible for me to cohost and play at the same time, sadly), so if you are intending to play one of them, do not sign up for the other. If you have already signed up for Aperture Academy: A Mafia School Experiment and would prefer the advanced game (Untitled currently), please notify the hosts of this change immediately. We had far more than the required number sign up, so it won't cause a problem, we just need to know before sending out the confirmations.

Thank you.

I thought one had to pass a Mafia school to play in a normal mafia game.

That was directed at the "veterans" who signed up to improve their skills.

Shadows, I'll pass on the "Aperture Academy" there's a lot of players who haven't played in a Mafia School yet who signed up for it. Hopefully I'll make the cut for def's game. :classic:

Same here. Although I was looking forward to the Aperture theme.

Bolding your action, what do you play that silly Heroica game or something?

You too? Does anyone play mafia anymore? Don't worry, we are still running the game and you can still enjoy the theme.

Thanks guys! We shall take care of removing you your names.

Oh, my. This is not good for me. I want to do both, but of course I have to choose one. As much as i feel like brushing up my skills in Mafia School, I'd like to give other players a chance first. It might even be better for me to do the more advanced games anyways.

Reminder: Mafia students who have not yet completed a game and received a passing grade are ineligible from participating in any other games. Signing up for such games may result in a failing grade, thus rendering them ineligible from the game they shouldn't have signed up for in the first place.

As it is, we discourage experienced players from participating in two games at once and it would be a complete violation of the purpose of Mafia school to allow students to.

Clarification: In case it wasn't clear, the above reminder is primarily intended for living players in a mafia school game. Since different hosts grade at different times, in some cases, a dead student may not know their final grade in time to be eligible for another game. That was, for example, the intent in our game, but given the pressing time constraints involved, we will make an exception for those students who are dead and chose to sign up for another game so that they will know if they can play or not. This should not be seen as a comment on the game-in-progress or cause any influence on living players, a passing or failing grade does not indicate anything about the game at all, simply whether or not the individual player satisfied the requirements for passing mafia school.

Thanks for the reminder Shadows, I should had know this rule, trying to sign up for an other game before finishing another and also when it is a school game the one playing currently. I apologise

No apology necessary, it was a complicated circumstance and brought the possibility to our attention, somehow it had just never occurred before. In the end, we did provide a sort of general release for everyone who is likely to pass, but that only applied to those who signed up prior to the reminder, and would only matter if they were ultimately accepted. Since no one knows who is playing the game (I'm pretty sure Hinck knows, but imagine if there was a way to do it where even the host wasn't sure! That gives me such a good idea!), there's no way to tell if that actually applied to anyone or not, but there will be a clearer guideline for this kind of situation posted by Lord Dragonator at some point. You know, when he's done eating babies or burning villages or eating burning baby villages, or whatever it is he does in his spare time. :dhappy:

What if, you could make it so even the players are not even sure if they are playing. Wow.

Maybe you are and you just haven't realised? :look:

In concluding the previous announcements, rules 12 and 13 have been added to the standard rules in the Index specifically relating to Mafia School. Do let me know if there are any questions!

Moderation Announcement

Hey everyone, I just wanted to say a few words regarding some recent behaviour in the current Mafia game. As you all know, we're very open about how you act in Mafia games on EB, and encourage people to apply pressure to other players and try various tactics. However, there is always an underlying requirement that respect should still be given to all players, no matter what tactics they try. Respect should also be given to the host, even if you disagree with a decision they have made; it is their game and you decided to participate, so you play by the host's rules.

It is up to the host to keep an eye on the players and issue punishments for rule breaches; a player attacking another player because they try a tactic that may seem "unfair" or "mean" isn't acceptable, that is part of the game and it is for the host to deal with if necessary. Remember that all posts in a game thread must be made completely in character. If everyone follows that rule, then we have no need for other restrictive rules. However, if a player starts attacking another player, then that is a breach of site rules, not game rules, and will be dealt with as such. Personal attacks are not to be tolerated, and will be dealt with heavily; I have no issue whatsoever stepping in and barring people from playing games for a while or chambering them. Simple common respect to others is always expected.

Take this as a warning, as I do not wish to see this sort of behaviour in future. If it is brought to my attention again there will be consequences, and that is not just for new players, it applies to veterans as well.

Thanks guys, remember that you are here to have fun!

I'm ready to play! Not enough time to consider hosting right now, but I have a little more free time than before, and it might be fun.

Hello everyone :)

I'll keep it short:

I'm trying to gathers players from many different sites to play together in a game of mafia reserved only for the best of the best players. There are already confirmed players from 10 different sites. And I was curious to know if you could help me find out who the consensus top players are on this site? If there was one person who should really represent this site in this game, who would that be?

Thanks in advance

Kind regards,

Thingyman
