Norro Posted March 28, 2006 Posted March 28, 2006 (pic=link) OK, in the spirit of castle MOC based conversation in this forum, and while I complete work on my latest MOC, here is an old one from my gallery. I know it isn't very good (now) but I remember being really pleased with it then.... Enjoy. God Bless, Nathan Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted March 28, 2006 Governor Posted March 28, 2006 Mr Norro didn't you should us this before? I'm sure I've seen the terrain and river before, but it didn't have mini-figures, flora and fauna added. It makes it much more lively anyway! But before I continue with my comments I'll get confirmation that it was in fact an earlier incarnation of this MOC that I saw. Quote
Evil Willy Posted March 28, 2006 Posted March 28, 2006 Wow Mr. norro, this is off all beauty, I made I similar scene with Forestmen, I should show you sometime...But thats off topic it really is magnificent..I would love to come and plunder ye fish, A voyage free of feeding expences would be marvelous! Thank you for sharing. Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted March 29, 2006 Governor Posted March 29, 2006 Maybe it was your forest men MOC I was thinking of Evil Willy. Have you posted it here before? Quote
SuvieD Posted March 29, 2006 Posted March 29, 2006 I like this scene very much. The river looks "alive" and it is below the ground level (though barely). I think it could have benefitted from a few rocks coming out of the water. The bridge is odd in the two tone. I would suggest either making it one color or making it more varied. Solid black rails and solid brown base makes it seem weird to me. That is a lot of fish! Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted April 1, 2006 Governor Posted April 1, 2006 OK, in the spirit of castle MOC based conversation in this forum Mr Norro, exactly which conversation are you referring to? Or if not an actual conversation what did you mean by that? Quote
Norro Posted April 1, 2006 Author Posted April 1, 2006 OK, in the spirit of castle MOC based conversation in this forum Mr Norro, exactly which conversation are you referring to? Or if not an actual conversation what did you mean by that? Just having a little castle content in the forum ; ) . As to wether you have seeen this before: It may have been incorporated in a larger scene I did a while ago... God Bless, Nathan Quote
Jipay Posted April 1, 2006 Posted April 1, 2006 Would it be possible to see this larger scene ? *sweet* Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted April 1, 2006 Governor Posted April 1, 2006 Yes, we definitely need new Castle content! Now that you mention it there's been a bit of everything else except for Castle! I'm wondering some things... Where do those fish pieces originate from? And is that blue torso (on the figure with its back to us) from Knights Kingdom II Year 2? Quote
WesternOutlaw Posted April 1, 2006 Posted April 1, 2006 Very nice Mr. Norro. You're very good at depicting life in the Middle Ages. Quote
The Hordesman Posted April 1, 2006 Posted April 1, 2006 I'm wondering some things... Where do those fish pieces originate from? And is that blue torso (on the figure with its back to us) from Knights Kingdom II Year 2? The fish piece, or rather carp piece, is from the Ninja theme, used on roofs as decoration there. The torso is probably a majisto (blue wizard) torso, since I cant remember any blue torsos that fit for peasants in KK2, nor any actual "blue" ones either. A decent scene, though, I guess its a strike of overwhelmness after seeing your bigger ones this one does not impress me incredibly, but its a great scene nontheless. A built baseplate is allways cool to see aswell. Quote
