ADHO15 Posted August 27, 2009 Posted August 27, 2009 2010 looks like a great line-up so far. The only set that doesn't sound appealing to me is the TIE Defender as I'm not an EU fan. I wonder if LEGO does plan to bring back ROTS sets, or whether they'll be featured in the Clone Wars series soon. Let speculation in this new thread commence! Quote
RileyC Posted August 27, 2009 Posted August 27, 2009 (edited) yay new topic thanks KimT ! I cant wait for next year with all these great sets, though mainly remakes but it gives us people who have only been collecting for about 3-4 years a chance to get sets that they missed out on. I'd love to see some clearer picture of the battlepacks over any other sets Edited August 27, 2009 by Roncanator Quote
Skipper 24 Posted August 27, 2009 Posted August 27, 2009 Thanks or the list KimT. It's a little hard to keep up with these in the discussion thread. Also I use your Death Star icon on my dock (rocket dock) for the Empire at War game. Quote
SWMAN Posted August 27, 2009 Posted August 27, 2009 This appears to be a decent line-up. Hopefully the updated Slave I is Jango Fett's and no Boba Fett's. We alread have a great version of Boba's, but Jango's is lacking some. I am glad that there is a healthy mix of both new sets and updated sets. Quote
KimT Posted August 27, 2009 Author Posted August 27, 2009 Well since rumor has it that it includes Boba, I kinda doubt it'll be Jango's. I think it might be another anniversary set, and yes I am aware that it's a year 'late' when it arrives Perhaps they're starting to throw 'the classics' at us again I'd love a new system Millenium Falcon or Outrider. Quote
DarthSion Posted August 27, 2009 Posted August 27, 2009 I like that DS image, completely unimpressed with the early sets, i wish they would make set stuff instead of rehashing. Quote
Fishy Posted August 27, 2009 Posted August 27, 2009 (edited) Well since rumor has it that it includes Boba, I kinda doubt it'll be Jango's.I'd love a new system Millenium Falcon or Outrider. Although it probably is going to be Boba's version, we can still hope for Jango :P. I've got at least 4 Boba minifigs and I missed out on the Jango when it was available. I missed out on the last system Millenium Falcon, and so I could really go for one. But an Outrider would be pretty awesome, too. Edited August 27, 2009 by Fishy Quote
Bob Posted August 27, 2009 Posted August 27, 2009 I can't wait for another Palpatine's Shuttle. Only two people fit in Gunray's Shuttle, and it's a hassle to open up the Republic Attack Shuttle. My Imperial Dropship had a messy landing, (Fell off my desk), and I broke my Imperial Shuttle for parts. That was the biggest mistake I made. Quote
Derek Posted August 27, 2009 Posted August 27, 2009 I am glad that there is a healthy mix of both new sets and updated sets. I agree, but I'm not exactly thrilled that its only been a few years since we have gotten the originals from ROTS. Grievous' fighter was only released in 2007. The original was near perfect, I'm very interested to see the new redesign/gimmick. I doubt I will buy it, I have and LOVE the original, but if it has a nice new Grievous figure, I just may have to reconsider... And I'm also glad that there is a new thread, the old one was getting kind of...messy. -darthpreson Quote
Millacol88 Posted August 27, 2009 Posted August 27, 2009 Nice to see we finally have a shiny new 2010 topic. I can see getting all these minus the Droid Fighter, GG's starfighter, and Palpy's shuttle. I really hope it is Boba's Slave 1 and not Jango's. I do think its odd though that we have a rumor list for the entire year, but the only pictures we've got of the first wave are the blurry battle pack ones. Quote
Big Cam Posted August 27, 2009 Posted August 27, 2009 Definetaly deserves it's own topic, can't wait for the death star pics to be replaced with legit boxes. Quote
Darth Legolas Posted August 27, 2009 Posted August 27, 2009 Although it probably is going to be Boba's version, we can still hope for Jango :P. Millacol88 Posted August 27, 2009 Posted August 27, 2009 I never thought of that, Legolas. Having the helmet seperate from the jetpack would certainly be cool. Quote

Although I'd love one, this still has a 50/50 chance of being PT, the one from Episode III. Mainly because there've been about 2 other Imp Shuttles and 6 other Epi III sets coming out next year. It's still welcomed by me, it's a cool ship. I never thought of that, Legolas. Having the helmet seperate from the jetpack would certainly be cool. Yeah, but I'm not sure what I'd feel if TLG includes the Jetpack, having to redesign the helmet with a closed-visor. Sure we'd all like a peek at Boba's-never-seen-in-OT face, but I kinda like his current helmet. Edited August 27, 2009 by Darth Legolas Quote
Millacol88 Posted August 27, 2009 Posted August 27, 2009 Yeah, but I'm not sure what I'd feel if TLG includes the Jetpack, having to redesign the helmet with a closed-visor. Sure we'd all like a peek at Boba's-never-seen-in-OT face, but I kinda like his current helmet. Why would they have to do that? They could use the same mold, minus the jetpack, as long as they used a black head. Quote
Darth Legolas Posted August 27, 2009 Posted August 27, 2009 (edited) Why would they have to do that? They could use the same mold, minus the jetpack, as long as they used a black head. True, but everything is changing! As upposed to the thought that new closed-visor Phase II clones would come from the place holder picture on the SDCC box, ( say wha?, ) that could actually happen with all of these new Episode III sets. So if everything's closed visor, why not Boba? But no big deal, as long as I get Boba's curent helmet (accidentally... melted the old one ) I'll be happy. Bricklink away! (Just had to edit three times, typing for a different computer.) Edited August 27, 2009 by Darth Legolas Quote
Millacol88 Posted August 27, 2009 Posted August 27, 2009 I think they'll leave it open-visor. It adds depth and protects TLC from having to stumble over a face-print for Boba. Quote
Drock Posted August 27, 2009 Posted August 27, 2009 I think they'll leave it open-visor. It adds depth and protects TLC from having to stumble over a face-print for Boba. Couldn't they just use the clone face? Quote
Darth Legolas Posted August 27, 2009 Posted August 27, 2009 Couldn't they just use the clone face? No. Do you know why? Because some idiot artist (no offense to him ) complete fool drew him with some freak alien face that makes next to no sense. What the hell is that? Back on topic: I wouldn't mind a Yeti with Taun-taun horns for a Wampa. Just as long as we get something near-accurate! Quote
Commander Flash Posted August 27, 2009 Posted August 27, 2009 Maybe a near-troll like figure, with wampa horns? Boba fett looks weird Quote

Millacol88 Posted August 27, 2009 Posted August 27, 2009 I'm pretty sure all the PT sets coming next year will actually be based on the Clone Wars. I agree. I think TLC is done making Episode 3 sets. But as the CW series gets closer and closer to the timeline of Episode 3, we'll see characters, ships, etc. that may seem like they're from Episode 3. Only everyone will have weird looking faces. Quote
Dutch Posted August 27, 2009 Posted August 27, 2009 I’m really exited about the all the new set and I just can't wait for slave 1 and the clone turbo tank which is going to be in the season 2 of the cw. I know I have an image of it. Quote
