I think that was more to do with the fact that TLC reps have said, time and again, that a transparent/translucent minifigure is just not happening. This is because transparent lego parts are made of a different material than ABS, which has a different gripping strength, molding process etc. Which means a ghost of Ben Kenobi or Hologram of the emperor minifig won't happen, at least not now.

You think they could at least make one in a solid piece, it may not be poseable like a regular minifig but at least it would look like one.

Kim you sound sure about the new carbonite Han and Aayla, anything you want to share?

Though I've heard that 2010 is cool, but 2011 is going to rock your world.

I am not sure though, I haven't seen or heard what the 2011 lineup is.

Only word is that it's better than anything we've seen so far.

But let's stick to 2010 in this topic until rumors and pics start surfacing.

So is getting Aayla

I'd absolutely love to get Aayla Secura; verily one of my favourite Jedi! Love to see Aurra Sing too.

That's some hype you're laying down KimT... I'm going to have to work even harder or win the lottery methinks!

I doubt they will use the in-game model. It looks pretty cartoony and if TLC set their minds to it, they could make a much better one than that. As for the box art, I don't think so as that was an anniversary thing (ten years of LSW).

True but next year is the 30th anniversary of ESB though.

Are we trying to see into the future here Kim or are you just tossing something out there?

Then I do it as well...

What about if we would get Aayla Secura and Barriss Offee in the new CTT??

I think a new Han Solo in carbonite and new Boba Fett is very likely.

So is getting Aayla

Hard to see the future is, the dark side clouds all... :yoda:

A new Han mold would be awesome, so would an Aayla Secura.

Arg  , now you have me all excited

If/when Lego makes, Aayla, it better be just like Arealights. The head was perfect, and I bet TLG's will sell for so much more but in the end will be worse.

I already stated my prediction for Boba. New Clone jetpack+same body+detachable helmet.

And for Han in Carbonite, I've got no clue. The only thing to change would be to make it 3-D, and that's quite excessive, for Lego.

2011 is probably going to the best considering its the last year of LEGO Star Wars. Or was it 2012?

Hello!

I guess that we will see Lego Star Wars sets for a long time.

Here are some facts from a Lego Press Release found at Star Wars Union.

Sorry, if it is already posted, but did you know, that

in 2008, in every second 28 Lego SW sets were sold ?

80% of all Star Wars Merchandise in Germany is Lego ?

Worldwide 106 ooo ooo Lego Star Wars stes were sold?

I doubt that they stop this river...

Regards,

JanSued

I agree with that prediction. I also made a prediction of my own when we first heard the rumors about the summer 2010 sets, and that is that the CTT will include both Aayla and Bly.

I'm assuming you highlighted the good bits but this is an English speaking forum, I have no idea what your link is talking about?

The stats are great, it shows LEGO that the license is worth fighting for!

I partly agree with you, KimT.

Imo a new Boba Fett is not very likely: the new jetpack appeared already this year - so if TLG planed to use it for Boba Fett why didn't they already use it in the Magnet set?!

But I agree with you that a new Han Solo in carbonite is very likely since the old one was too small. Perhaps a mold in which the real Han Solo minifig fits?

Though I've heard that 2010 is cool, but 2011 is going to rock your world.

Thank you very much for this news, KimT! :classic:

That sounds fantastic! :oh: Since I'm not interested in CW I have no idea what we'll have to await there for sets - but for OT I'd bet and hope for a new Jabba's Palace and a Yavin Base or a new Cloud City. Hopefully we'll even get a better version of the Imperial Shuttle.

But til we'll get rumours about the 2011 sets it takes about 3/4 year - and now we firstly want to have some pics of the 2010 sets.

Then maybe we'll see some ESB-exclusive box art. Oh, and whoever was talking about 2010 being the last year, the license will most likely be renewed, as SW is one of TLC's most popular themes. I don't want to get too far off topic, so I'll link to the License Discussion.

The Bly and Aayla would make me the most happy man on earth. :cry_happy: A Gree would also make my year in some other set. :classic:

The german LEGO magazine has a new pic of the ARC-170 Fighter who will get a bigger advertisement in the next issue.

Bigger version of the last pic:

Looks to me like real-life Clones and not this zombie-faces we got in all the other TCW sets.

It's a shame about that as they wont fit in with my current army, but I assume that it is closer to Episode 3 so it's okay I guess.

That´s look really great (for me)  I am wondering how exactly will look the pilot helm...

I bet that they will do one common head with the new printed visor.

That way they easily can use it for a pilot to a snowspeeder if it will be a new one with the Wampa Cave for instance

Or even to the X-Wing pilots if there will be a new one one day.

Damn that new ARC does look awesome. An improvement on the original, superbly detailed and normal LSW printed faces, new helmets on the minifigs too. I wasn't going to bother but it'll be hard to resist now!

I know

And the remake of Grievous Starfighter is also worth getting, especially when considering that we're getting a new Grievous minifig

Now that my friend, is music to my ears! :sweet:

Maybe then it'll be time for me to disassemble my brickbuilt Grievous, hopefully to pave the way for awesomeness!

Wow, I guess ep3 style ARC-170! With dot-eyed figs! That's awesome! :cry_happy:

That may mean I was right back then, when I said it looked like an ep3 set. :classic:

Aayla and Bly in the CTT would be awesome too, :sweet:

and a new General Grievous fig! I have my own brickbuilt version of GG, I keep it anyways I think, and to be honest I don't think the new Grievous figure would be really posable actually... but it's possible, just unlikely for TLG.

That will be a dealbreaker, I really hope they make him bigger and more accurate!!
