nintha Posted November 22, 2009 Posted November 22, 2009 I found a picture for the new arc-170 heads. link It is just orange printing over the eyes but it still looks nice. Quote
simonjedi Posted November 22, 2009 Posted November 22, 2009 Nice find, and thanks to Darth Yoda for the pic. I also heartily endorse drawing the set but include MOCS and reviews as well Quote
JCC1004 Posted November 22, 2009 Posted November 22, 2009 (edited) Nice find, and thanks to Darth Yoda for the pic.I also heartily endorse drawing the set but include MOCS and reviews as well What are you referring to? Darth Yoda hasn't even posted in this topic for awhile. It would be nice to know what it looked like. Or Ras and KimT could give me their brains and I could draw it for you. Edit: Sorry I didn't see that link. Thanks for posting a link. They look very nice. I can't wait. Edited November 22, 2009 by JCC1004 Quote
TheBrickHitHouse Posted November 22, 2009 Posted November 22, 2009 We're getting another Snowspeeder?! Will we finally get an accurate one? Why do we get so many snowspeeders and yet its been 5 years since the last minifig Falcon and 10 years since the last Padame!! Quote

If these are the ARC-170 pilots heads, then I'm wrong about the new ARC-170 being from Clone Wars and it being ROTS. Then my money is safe because I won't be buying it now. I personally are in to Clone Wars TV and Episodes IV-V-VI only, call me a CartoonNetwork/Original 70&80's series junkie ! Quote
Ras 74 Posted November 22, 2009 Posted November 22, 2009 That for sure is the new head to the ARC pilots. It is also the same head that will be used to the pilot in the Wampa attack. Thanks for the link to the pic. Drawing the set, or mocing it is a great idea? Thanks for trusting in us beeing good at it , but it will not happend. We will for sure see pics very, very soon now. So hold out for a few more days my friends. Quote

KimT Posted November 22, 2009 Author Posted November 22, 2009 So its DAYS, not weeks or months?! Who knows? We'll probably see more and better pics of the January wave pretty soon. Here's a deeplink of that movie pic I am surprised you guys haven't seen that movie already. It's linked in the LEGO General News & Discussion Forum. (or something like that ) Quote
filip skywalker Posted November 22, 2009 Posted November 22, 2009 (edited) It shouldn't be long time left until pictures shows up on S@H! I'm a little disappointed on the TIE Defender pics, It'll take a good review and a fair price to make me buy that. But I'll pick up the ARC-170 and the Droid tri-fighter! After comparing to the pictures the tri-fighter looks very accurate, a shame it doesn't include any pistoeka sabotage droids... (Buzz droids.) Btw, anyone else that noticed that, according to the box art, the ARC-170 has the exact same piece count as the 2005 version? Edited November 22, 2009 by filip skywalker Quote

It looks to have more pieces than the original. Quote
Rayman Posted November 22, 2009 Posted November 22, 2009 I have an inkling that those heads belong to the rebel pilot in the battle packs. Quote
Big Cam Posted November 22, 2009 Posted November 22, 2009 I have an inkling that those heads belong to the rebel pilot in the battle packs. No they belong to the pilots in the ARC-179 set, that's what we've been talking about, the battlepacks ahve the new helmets with the goggles. Quote

Darth Legolas Posted November 22, 2009 Posted November 22, 2009 Are those DOT EYES? Look who's laughing now! I triumph over all in the end! Unless of course, those are the new BP rebel pilot heads, except I think they're the same! Quote

RenegadeClone Posted November 22, 2009 Posted November 22, 2009 I can't express how pleased I am that the new ARC-170 is NOT a Clone Wars set!! Dot-eyes for the pilots - Hurrah!! No stupid anime faces - Hurrah!! Quote

I think you're allowed to share any information you want, just no prelim photos. Just check with KimT first but I'm looking forward to your descriptions on the new 'un-seen' sets. Quote
sok117 Posted November 22, 2009 Posted November 22, 2009 Okay, well first i wasn't allowed to take pictures so there is no danger of me showing any preliminary pictures Okay Filip the Clone turbo tank's number 1 new feature is the clone wars style Aalya seccura minifigure (i dont know if i spelt that right) it was kinda broken (because i think the people who worked there had to put it together and i dont think they could handle all the technics), It also came with an anakin and an ashoka so three jedi's in total. There was no box art for any of the late 2010 sets so i dont know exactly what it could do as for palpatines shuttle, it came with palpatine (of course), a burnt darth vader with mask (all new pieces except mask) and it was ROTS styled and anakins head was tanned instead of skin coloured to show that he had been burned, there was also a medical droid wich was new and the spaceship itself followed the design we are seeing in the shuttles that are coming out like in 7669 and 8019 except for its cockpit and wing sticking out the top. It fell apart easily but i dont know if that was legos fault or the builders fault Hope that could be of help Quote
ADHO15 Posted November 22, 2009 Posted November 22, 2009 (edited) Welcome to Eurobricks, sok. Okay Filip the Clone turbo tank's number 1 new feature is the clone wars style Aalya seccura minifigure (i dont know if i spelt that right) it was kinda broken (because i think the people who worked there had to put it together and i dont think they could handle all the technics), It also came with an anakin and an ashoka so three jedi's in total. There was no box art for any of the late 2010 sets so i dont know exactly what it could do I thought it included Barriss Offee as well. It's a very technical build then, is it? as for palpatines shuttle, it came with palpatine (of course), a burnt darth vader with mask (all new pieces except mask) and it was ROTS styled and anakins head was tanned instead of skin coloured to show that he had been burned, there was also a medical droid wich was new and the spaceship itself followed the design we are seeing in the shuttles that are coming out like in 7669 and 8019 except for its cockpit and wing sticking out the top. It fell apart easily but i dont know if that was legos fault or the builders fault That Vader is a nice touch, as is the medical droid. Edited November 22, 2009 by ADHO15 Quote
-JD- Posted November 22, 2009 Posted November 22, 2009 Those sets sound quite good! Thanks sok! Some questions: 1. Were there any clones/other figures in the Turbo Tank? 2. Is the Turbo Tank motorised from what you saw? (I mean the wheels btw) 3. Are there any more figures in the Shuttle? If so, what are they? 4. Approximately, how big were the sets? Thanks again. Quote
Tinn-man Posted November 22, 2009 Posted November 22, 2009 I have just a few questions, if you don't mind: Did they have the wampa cave at this event? If so, could you tell us what Luke and the wampa look like? I've also been hearing rumors that Cad Bane will be in one of these sets. Did you happen to see a minifigure of him? Thanks for the Info Quote
sok117 Posted November 22, 2009 Posted November 22, 2009 I dont know why but since there was no box art the figures couldn't be displayed but instead were put in plastic bags with labels to what set they were from probablt to prevent them from getting the figures confused with the wrong sets I didn't manage to see any praticularly special clones with the turbo tank although i would imagine rex to be included since anakin and ahsoka are, based on the amount of figures then i would say just ne extra clone, I don't know if the tank is motorized but that would be sweet I didn't see anymore figures with the shuttle but i would imagine there being at least a pilot and a shock trooper Palpatines shuttle looked to be about a 69.99 U.S. set whereas the turbo tank would be around the price of the rupublic gunship Tinn-man i've got good news and bad news the good news is that yes the wampa attack set was at this event, it does come with a snowspeeder wich i though was weired considerin there was no snow speeder in that scene as for luke, i didn't really see him which made me sad but the wampa (although made out of cheap plastic because it is a prototype) was not the best, it was like one of the big rock monsters seen in the new power miners sets, it couldn,t move its legs and it looked like (i didnt get to touch it) only one arm was able to move and lastly no i did not see a Cad bane minifigure we will have to pray for an exclusive sey or wait for 2011 Quote
filip skywalker Posted November 22, 2009 Posted November 22, 2009 (edited) Hope that could be of help It sure was! Thank you! Did the shuttle look anything like a Theta-class T-2c shuttle? And the burned Anakin, was he wearing dart Vader armour like after/during the transformation? Or was he more like the killed defeated anakin before transformation? sok: how would it be if you wrote down and posted everything you remember of the 2010 SW sets? That way you wouldn't end up answering to 21x1015 questions... And trust me, that's a lot. Edited November 22, 2009 by filip skywalker Quote
