KDog Posted December 22, 2009 Posted December 22, 2009 MUST HAVE WAMPA. I love all the recent Hoth sets. TLG is recreating the whole environment from ESB. Quote
mutley777 Posted December 22, 2009 Posted December 22, 2009 TLG is recreating the whole environment from ESB. Yes! All we need now is a new AT-AT! Hmmmm......... Quote
sologuy369 Posted December 22, 2009 Posted December 22, 2009 (edited) You mean a wampa, hence the name: Wampa Cave?? Yes, of course. Gallery, when publicNahdar Vebb WAMPA WAMPA Ice cave Plo Koon fighter Thanks for the pictures. Those were what i was looking for. Lego has to watch their sets better, making sure their photos don't leak. -Mr. Solo Edited December 22, 2009 by sologuy369 Quote
Joey Lock Posted December 22, 2009 Posted December 22, 2009 Yes! All we need now is a new AT-AT! Hmmmm......... But isn't that wasting resources? I mean Lego have re-made the AT-AT twice now and still its not good. Quote
mutley777 Posted December 22, 2009 Posted December 22, 2009 But isn't that wasting resources? I mean Lego have re-made the AT-AT twice now and still its not good. That may be true joey, but the rumor is there is another one on the way this year! Does the motorised one really count as a good set anyway . For me the old 4483 set is the one to beat! Quote
Joey Lock Posted December 22, 2009 Posted December 22, 2009 For me the old 4483 set is the one to beat! Hell yeah! Shame I never got it. I couldn't find it in the shops anywhere when It was realeased. Now hopefully, from these new battle packs that include AT-AT Pilots, we are going to get a new Clone battle pack including either the EP3 Pilots or EP2 Pilots, I don't mind, I just need pilots for my Republic Gunship! Hopefully the AT-AT isn't gonna be all plates and technic, Hopefully they make some new smooth plates to make it look more realistic. And a bigger interior. Quote
Matteo Kenobi Posted December 22, 2009 Posted December 22, 2009 Wow, these sets are great, I personally can't wait for the turbo tank and to see the final Aayla Secura figure. However, I do have a little tiff with Plo Koon's Jedi Starfighter. Just looking at a quick comparison The blues are different, a lot different. The lego version is much lighter, do you think that will change as these sets become finalized? I hope it does, but I wouldn't be surprised if TLC keeps it that blue. Quote
sok117 Posted December 22, 2009 Posted December 22, 2009 Sadly I think that the blue of the star-fighter will stay the same, TLG has probably already begun mass producing these sets so they can met the demand when they come out next year. Quote

Also pattern is wrong. It actualy looks more like Anakins "Azure Angel" modified Delta 7B fighter than Plo Koons fighter. shame on lego - they could done it 10x better. they made so much great acurate new models and now this... You're right. I hope they'll change the color. They just have to use dark blue. I guess we should be happy that TLC didn't attach those modified engines of the "Azure Angel". ILikePi Posted December 22, 2009 Posted December 22, 2009 (edited) I saw this article on sky news earlier and though you guys had to see it! There is footage of the wampa and plo koon's starfighter and other brief shot of the august sets!http://news.sky.com/skynews/Home/Business/...s_Dont_Miss_Out Thanks for the find mutley! All the sets look (from what we can see) fantastic! I can't wait to see more pictures/videos. ANyway, If you look closely behind the Wampa Attack set, you can see the droid in Greivous' SF, with a new head mold! Looking at GG, he has a lot of detail, especially in his face and eyes. I wonder if he willl be made of rubber like Fitso?Actually, that's a chair that Grievous sits on (in the TV series) to get repaired by his droid, not the droid itself. mutley777 Posted December 22, 2009 Posted December 22, 2009 Not alot of difference in colour but this is the version the lego set is made from. The ship does have slightly different lines. Quote
JCC1004 Posted December 22, 2009 Posted December 22, 2009 Was there supposed to be a Rebel trooper in the other seat in the Snowspeeder? I believe that's Luke. He must have been taken out of the cave and put in the Snowspeeder. The new Hoth troopers have tan arms and the one in the Snowspeeder has light gray. Luke has light gray arms so I'd assume it's him. Is Luke Hoth's torso new or is it Crix Madine's? It looks like it's Crix's. Quote
howl.bricks Posted December 22, 2009 Posted December 22, 2009 Thanks for the video, mutley777 So,the set is actually Clone Wars based? Since Fisto came with a ROTS set, i thought that Plo would too.. It's still good, beacuse we get the full astromech compared to the ROTS Delta-7, which only has the dome. Nevertheless, i know we're all looking forward to these fantastic sets. Quote
Joey Lock Posted December 22, 2009 Posted December 22, 2009 I really don't think Lego will care about the shades of blue. If they have already shown in Public on a public news channel the new sets, Im pretty sure they aren't gonna change the set when they probably have them already packaged ready for ship out after Christmas... Quote
Zzz Posted December 22, 2009 Posted December 22, 2009 I am not sold on the Wampa Cave yet. Luke has another new torso? Why didn't they take it for the BP? it seems way more accurate. And the Wampa seems ok, but no revolution like the tauntaun, which I really liked. Second the Snowspeeder is terrible. This one really needed some improvement, and no, the canopy doesn't open completely. 4500 still better choice. Quote
KimT Posted December 22, 2009 Author Posted December 22, 2009 DoubleT shared these awesome large pics on Brickhorizon. (I give credit where credit is due ) Thanks Thomas (sorry for snatching your pics but they're soo good) Quote
Commander_Rob Posted December 22, 2009 Posted December 22, 2009 These look very interesting, also the Slave I in the background. It seems to be dark green. And is that thing lying next to the Snowspeeder a Tauntaun spine and ribcage? Looks good. Quote
pedro Posted December 22, 2009 Posted December 22, 2009 August 2010 line-up looks interesting. Some of the sets are a little too close to their older counterparts, some of the minifig choices seem random. I'm very happy with the new Jedi we're getting, especially Aayla Secura! Joy! Can't wait to see better pictures. 8089 - Hoth Wampa and Hoth Luke, very cool! Another snowspeeder... er... whee? Got a fair few of them now... Nevermind, a great set nontheless. On a side note Luke's gloves should be white surely? Not the first colour issue I've seen in the recent and forthcoming sets... 8093 - It's okay but what clearly puts a dampener on this set is the wrong blue. LEGO? I still feel the new Lanspeeder should've been earth orange where it's tan... 8095 - I'm happy LEGO are doing a new treatment of Grievous, dying to see what he looks like now. Figure choice does seem a bit off on this one - if LEGO are including Nahdar in this set, surely it would've made sense to also include Kit Fisto, his master, as in Lair of Grievous? The ship looks waaay too preliminary to comment on! 8096 - Looks very acuurate - nice - but again, figure choice seems way off. Vader is fair enough for recreating that scene, a clone pilot too, but it should've defo had 2 royal senate guards included. LEGO? 8097 - Looks virtually the same as the last version of Slave I, including play features. Figure selection looks great, eager to see new Boba Fett and Bossk. 8098 - Looks virtually the same as the last version of Clone Tank, albiet with new (and still not exactly accurate) wheels. Figure selection looks awesome though. Purely because we're getting Aayla So I'm feeling a little disappointed with a lot of the 2010 line-up, and what appears to be near copies of older sets. I understand it gives those new to LSW a chance to get these specific vehicles again, but surely there's enough creative spectrum and budget to offer everyone new and exciting takes on these awesome vehicles rather than just rehashing or improving on older sets? Al least there's still some new, previously unseen sets to get. I'll surely make those my first choice for purchase Quote
The Legonater Posted December 22, 2009 Posted December 22, 2009 (edited) The rumor is there is another one on the way this year! For me the old 4483 set is the one to beat! I really need a good-sized AT-AT. The only one I have is that pathetic mini, which isn't at all the right size compared to the Snowspeeder and AT-ST. Personally, I had 2 problems with the full-sized ones: 1. They were expensive. 2. I never saw them in stores. the latter of the two is probly what held me back the most, because no matter how expensive they were, I might've gotton one Christmas or something. The best I can hope for is a Midi AT-AT, as my Minis just might b the right size. Or I'll just build my own! So there IS a lightsaber shooter! AMASING! Edited December 22, 2009 by The Legonater Quote
Oky Posted December 22, 2009 Posted December 22, 2009 Actually, that's a chair that Grievous sits on (in the TV series) to get repaired by his droid, not the droid itself. Uhm, no, I think JD meant the droid next to him. The one right above/behind the snowspeeder's cockpit glass. It is there in the minifig list on the prelim box art too. And yes, he does seem to have a new head mold. @KimT: Why did you post the second pic twice? Quote
The Legonater Posted December 22, 2009 Posted December 22, 2009 (edited) AHA! I think I just realized why Kit's in the ARC! See, it's just an exsample of LEGO's 'tricks' reffered to before. They realease the ARC, with Kit strangly in it. A few might get it, and others are just plain confuzled. Gerivous's starfighter comes out, with Gerivous, Nahdar, and those that DIDN'T get the ARC and get the starfighter sya, 'Hey! Fit's in this sceane, where is he? Oh THERE he is, flying around in an ARC!' So they get the ARC as well, and vise versa for those who already have the ARC. Edited December 22, 2009 by The Legonater Quote
