I think we should pitch this topic, and start discussing the sets at hand, this info should be in the 2011 rumor topic :hmpf:

Isn't it ending in early 2011, their might not be any new SW sets in 2011. And Yes we should stay on topic and steer away from that

That part doesn't bother me. The figure looks great.

I just hope we'll see Aayla at least released as a magnet.

I am 90% positive they will. It will be bad quality, but I'd definitely see Aayla in a magnet, with Cad Bane possible, and another so-and-so.

I don't know why you don't like the CTT though, that thing is tied with the Wampa Cave for #1 on my Star Wars list!

Well, Sok, in case you've forgotten, you came on this site providing rumored information. It's also not a 2011 rumor according to him, it's an exclusive for 2010.

I'm not going to believe it yet, but I could see it happening. A few of those new Mandos too. Unfortunately, the ship is a hideous mess, possibly the worst ship in Star Wars.

Of course, now we have a hell of a lot of "rumored sets" with no other proof, and five sets with none but set numbers. That would be the midi-scale Star Destroyer, the AT-AT, Cad Bane's speeder, 10121, though that is 100% confirmed, it's another hush-hush exclusive, and that' a lot. I know there's one more, I forget though...

True, but if the idea is just being pitched, then I doubt that they will get it done for this year, I'm not abolishing the idea, just saying that It doesn't sound like is going to fit in with 2010. And besides, How on earth would TLC get that thing to stand up  .

The sw sets are awesome! It is kind of weird that we have not gotten much pictures of Plo Koon Starfighter. It is sad that lego sw ending. :cry_sad:

P.S.My first post.

Welcome to Eurobricks ! Be sure to introduce your self over here.

I don't Lego Star Wars will end this soon considering its a great way for lego to milk fans. They'll probably renew the license again.

I don't dislike it. I'm just not compelled to own it. At least not enough to spend over $100 on it. The Wampa cave, on the other hand, is on my want list. I've been trying to collect all the Hoth sets and this is a must have!

I would hope Aayla would be released with a smaller set at some point, but I'd take the magnet if that was the only other option.

I don't know, Lego can make things happen. The Pirate Tank was an extremely obscure ship just like this, in a 2 episode feature, but this one is really ugly. But if Lego were to make the set, it would be all about the Mandalorian minifigs. For now though, let's stick to bigger rumors.

That ship is a piece of messed up sh**. I agree with you

Off Topic: I'm sick of the Clone Wars right now, in every episode it's just new ship after ship. I'm starting to think the creators have a 2-second attention span, and have to make a new ship every week. There are probably more ships that came out of the clone wars than there are in the entire Original Trilogy combined. :hmpf:

But even if you don't agree with that, thank you for agreeing that the ship is crazy weird.

On Topic: Lego could definitely make this, and be able to stand up, and it could be a really nice set, but there's almost no substantial evidence at the moment, so I don't think it's worth fussing over.

I have no problem with them including the main characters in the sets more commonly. The turbo tank does come with the two main characters.. but it also makes sense to throw in one of the villians and a supporting character too, that way the kids actually have someone to make the Jedi fight against. Getting three heroes isn't very much fun on its own is it? It's exactly the same type of thing we saw with sets like the Gunship, which came with Obi-wan, Cody, Plo-koon as an extra cameo and Asajj Ventress for the bad guy.

Having a balance of good and bad guys is a good thing in a set that increases the play value to a child. But it's not a coincidence that the obscure, desired mini-figures are always tossed into the overpriced sets to try and persuade someone to shell out 20% more money for an already expensive set with 20% fewer parts.

To me this makes perfect sense for a large play set. Cad Bane is also (presumably) coming with the Cad Bane speeder set this year, so people who are unwilling to splash out on the large turbo tank will be able to get him with that set, along with the heroes who are all dotted around some smaller sets too, such as Anakin with the freco bike.

And that would be fine but Lego has, in recent years, resorted to tossing in highly-desired figures in expensive sets regardless of the sense it makes (look at the first Mace Windu with the original Turbo Tank).

As for the collectors like myself, it's just nice to be able to finally get some of these characters.

Lego knows that and exploits it regardless of whether or not the pairing is suitable. That's what I find offensive more than anything. Sure, it's a good way to make money and that's their ultimate goal but they could at least have the respect for their customers that their public relations image tries to maintain they do.

And I was simply playing mod. Didn't mean to directly attack you, but this isn't the place to discuss prices. And if you disliked my comment about how much other countries are having to pay, perhaps you can understand how redundant your own comments on the matter were. :)

I feel sympathy for people in other countries who do have to pay jacked up prices. As I said, it's disrespectful on Lego's part to use gimmicks like that to entice people to buy sets they might otherwise find poorly-designed or over-used (I'm just waiting for them to throw snowspeeders into other lines just to jack up the price. "Join the battle in Prince of Persia with the snowspeeder!"). Lego doesn't need to resort to such gimmicks if they offer creative, quality sets. They have a popular product and a large, loyal customer base. They should keep that in mind.

The magnets will drive the minifigures value to around $4 each. :sceptic: I actually would prefer without magnets as I don't like the quality of them and it makes the value go down.

Sorry, but I'd rather see minifigure values go down if it means more people who want them can get ahold of them for decent prices. The insane prices for Star Wars minifigs is a problem, not a good thing, as I see it.

Agreed!

If somone really wanted Aayla and couldn't be bothered to do a BL order, then the magnets would be very conveniant.

That is, if Aayla is going to be made a magnet aswell.

There is to much off-topic discussions going on right now that is not about 2010 line.

Instead ranting about figs being relevant in different sets, and the value of them on BL.

10121 will probably be introduced at the NY toyfair, just like the AT-OT and Dropship. I would bet it would be a spring exclusive.

@RocketClone... I remember now, yes, it is an Imperial Shuttle, but it's Midi-Scale? I don't recall that. I remember somebody saying it will be a huge round-up with an Endor AT-AT, the Shuttle and Landing Pad as 10121, and then you could add it to last year's Battle of Endor. I really don't recall a midi-scale in there besides the Star Destroyer though...

You are thinking about two different rumors. One rumor is of the 10XXX set with minifigures on the poster, which is supposed to be a Shuttle and maybe an Endor landing pad, and maybe something else too.

There was another rumor from a while back about a midi-scale Star Destroyer, not with a 10XXX number.

No they're not.

You guys are yagging about magnet prices, possible sets and loads of meh!

Check the first post for the rumors so far.

It's a midi scale star destroyer...

You're going in circles here.

Discussion on the license belongs in the topic on just that.

Prices are to be discussed in the topic on prices "Star Wars sets Anyone?"

You guys are mixing it all up in here right now and that's clustering this discussion.

Thank you for the new pics of Hoth cave and Clone turbo tank

Hoth cave looks good enough for me.

The figs from CTT are nice enough. Aayla Secura and Cad Bane looks good. A Bly would be nice, but alas.

I don't like the wheels of the Tank and how they are attached to the body.

Yes agreed!

I think that the wheels of the CTT are better then the last one.

Though how they are attached to the tank looks very flimsy, I think if I get it, i'll have to come up with a stronger connection. :classic:

 Loads of meh. This is funnier than "Look at that wild flock of meese!"

Anyway, the Fall line up is a lot better IMO. The Turbotank is a disappointment though. :sceptic: The outside appearance, not including the awful wheels and axles  , looks pretty cool. I don't like the turret that fits a trooper very much since it's not very accurate. I also miss that periscope. :cry_sad: It also could use some more color. It looks rather bland. But the AT-RT is amazing. I'll be making some Bricklink orders.
