Ha ha. You are soooo funny and amazing.

An answer again like this and i will never post any news again...

For all, who can't use the function google-translate:

Even the deep swamps of the planet Felucia are for the Rebublic Swamp Speeder is no problem. Hidden wheels make sure that he has the floor "floats". The blaster cannons can fire and move automatically when the rear-wheel drive is pivoted. This armored vehicle, it takes up during the Clone Wars droids with the separatists, whenever it is needed. Contains Jedi Commander Barriis Offe, a clone trooper, a Super Battle Droid, and two Battle Droids.

That's because he has new torso printing.

Since I can unfortunatly only speak english (and a little spanish) could someone most kindly translate this for the rest of us only english speakers? I would be most grateful.

You really ought to read at least the few posts before your own.

oops thank you KimT

It's a brilliant set and I can't wait to buy it.

I converted the price for the set in American money but according to the exchange rate it would be $53  . That can't be even close to being right it probably more like thirty or even forty dollars.

But let's stay on target and not discuss in to much detail about any countrie's set prices.

See I can be responsible KimT

I kind of like when Lego adds wheels to hover tanks, those these are kind of... really thick and noticeable. Probably a whole centimeter in width! The wheels for the giant TX-130 were thinner than those!

I still love this set. I remember when I went off about a half year ago on how the exclusive ComiCon set had no Episode 3 troopers. In a sense that was true, but right now Lego's remaking all of these old Episode 3 sets CW style.

It's nice to see a new Phase II trooper, though I am saddened that it's not a new closed-visor helmet. But I love my Phase II's the way they are.

Now I know that the subject's long overrunning, but can't we all agree that if these are Clone Wars sets with-non Clone eyes and Non-CW ships, there is a very, very thin line between these being CW and PT? Lego made it officially CW, but they still are all PT style.

It's not much of a difference. The change that I can tell is that the breast plates have more of a hexagonal shape rather then just a line separating the upper torso from the rest.

Barriss looks so cool! At first look I thought hear eyes looked quite clone wars like but on second look they are just normal dot eyes which is cool. Her lips are funny imo.

Thanks for the pic!

Why on earth did they add wheels on the swamp speeder... Isn't it supposed to FLY over a SWAMP ???

I can totally understand their use on the MTT or the Republic Fighter Tank since they're supposed to hover close to the ground but here, it would kind of ruin the swoosh factor of the set...

I believe the Swamp Speeder hovered, not flew. It had the Star Wars propulsion drive, the Repulsorlift. It didn't have the wings-powered-by-a-huge-engine combo that usually enables flight if engineered correctly. No, it could not fly, but maybe hover several metres above the ground giving the illusion of a flying vehicle.

Thats abit annoying, but you can always just not put them on.

C'mon guys, the wheels are added for PLAYABILITY.

It's a toy for kids.

Heh - I still sometimes get outraged when I see SW lego being played with by friends' and relatives' offspring , but they've learned to make allowances for the Wierd Bloke Who Collects Lego.....

At the moment trying to decide whether to fight my way through the ordering system on S@H or wait till the sets actually appear on the shelves - yes, I have all the patience of a kid on Xmas eve too.....

Since I'm German I tried to translate the text myself.

NEW! Republic Swamp Speeder

Age 7-12 176 parts

Even the deep swamps of the planet Felucia are no problem for the Republic Swamp Speeder! Hidden wheels make sure that it can glide (?). The blaster canons can be fired and they move automatically when the rear engine is pivoted. During the Clone Wars, this armoured vehicle takes on the droids of the separatists whenever it is necessary! Contains Jedi Commander Barris Offee (she's a general actually  ), a clone trooper, a Super Battle Droid and two Battle Droids!

Text on the left:

The front canons can be pivoted by moving the rear engine!

Text on the right:

Speeder glides on hidden wheels!

Hope you guys are able to understand this translation (at least better than Google Translation :look: )

My Lego catalog just came and it has the Republic swamp speeder in it. The guns turn when the engines turn, as said before, but I can explain it. Underneath the speeder there are technic beams, and when the engine is pushed, they are pulled, and because they are linked to the guns, they move. It looks like a great set, and because it's in the catalog now, it might be out soon!

Apparently Luke's landspeeder has wheels beneath it too? That's what the magazine said. I haven't seen those picutres yet. I'll have to go back and check the review.

I have Luke's Landspeeder and it doesn't have wheels. It has those little circular smooth things.

Well that helps... but could you be a little more specific? There are a lot of circular smooth lego pieces.

I really like the sound of that feature, the one where the guns turn if the engine turns.

I hope Lukes speeder has those pieces that Disturbia gave the link for.

The wheels only look good on things like the TX-130, as you can't see them, but you could if they where on Lukes speeder.

Ahh.. right! :classic:

But I actually don't like this technique. :sceptic:

It's just too simple.

And it scratches on the floor and becomes less round. The swamp speeder's guns point in the direction your going so if you turn left the guns are there before you and ready to get the bad guys.

Text.

Swampy planets like Felucia are no problem for the Republic Samp Speeder! with hidden wheels for "hovering" action and flick-firing blasters that aytomatically move when you rotate the engine, this armed and armored vehicle from the Clone Wars is ready to fight against the Separatists' droids wherever they attack. Includes Jedi Commander Barris Offee, Clone Trooper, Super Battle Droid and 2 Battle Droids.

And not to mention I also ordered it.

Well this is a cat amongst the pigeons, if she is just a commander, but shes' a general in ROTS, that means she is not a full Jedi yet, which could make this set a CW one, but the head doesn't appear by like the other CW minifigs. I know what I'm going to do, ring Lego Australia this week comming and ask some questions, with this one being almost at the top of the list.

'What are CW and non-CW sets ?'

I'll let you all know how I get on.

wow, thats a really cool function, allowing the guns to turn with the engine, I can't wait to see that building technique.

I think it has one or two technic beams, 5/7/9 x 1 x 1 (L x W x H - just saying this so I don't confuse you, or more likely confuse myself!) joined to the guns and the engine. When you turn the engine, it would pull/push on the beam and thus pull/push the guns to the same position. See, Technic Front Loaders helps the building ideas!

That phone call ought to be laughs! "umm, ahh...I can't actually tell you about that...umm" (The sets aren't in stores in Australia yet are they? Besides, who besides the designers themselves would know what era which set would be in. I myself am confused already!
