LEGOMAN132 Posted January 3, 2010 Posted January 3, 2010 If it is a new shuttle that is great news hope it is a USC one. Quote
DiegoBoy Posted January 3, 2010 Posted January 3, 2010 Looks like 2010 is going to be an expensive year... at least for me :( Quote
Forresto Posted January 3, 2010 Posted January 3, 2010 I noticed that a while ago. But correct me if I'm wrong, UCS set's don't have minifigures. Not neccesarily. The Death star playset was UCS I believe (or it was just a very large set) and it has/had 20 minifgures. Besides Lego can change the rules about it's UCS. The imperial shuttle is probaly going to be more like the recent mini figure sized Millenium Falcon. It's odd though they're doing this, a Return Of The Jedi vehicle, instead of an empire strikes back vehicle like a minifigure sized Slave 1, AT-AT, or cloud city. Quote
Delta 38 Posted January 3, 2010 Posted January 3, 2010 This might be a chance to replace my old robed Luke with a new flesh-tone one. My old minifigs don't fit in anymore... Well, if it is an Imperial Shuttle or something, could it possibly come with Royal Guards? Although it shows four minifigs already, and it's possible that those are all the minifigs we get in the set. Quote
CommanderFox Posted January 3, 2010 Posted January 3, 2010 Anyway, its all good fun speculating. Its hard to think its anything other than the shuttle, given we get Luke, Vader, Imperial Officer and Shuttle Pilot. Yes it is. This year has the biggest amount of SW lego, then any other year! I mean 16 sets! Maybe Lego are rolling out all these sets quickly before the liscense ends. CommanderFox Quote
RoryoCox Posted January 3, 2010 Posted January 3, 2010 Yes it is.This year has the biggest amount of SW lego, then any other year! I mean 16 sets! Maybe Lego are rolling out all these sets quickly before the liscense ends. CommanderFox I don't think they are doing all these sets because the license may be up soon. I will probably be renewed once it ends so back on topic. I can't wait until these summer sets are released they all look brilliant. Quote

CommanderFox no lego star wars will never end, NEVER, but back on topic, I think the UCS shuttle, may just be a remake of the older one, I dont know how TLC will remake it really big and detailed? CommanderFox Posted January 3, 2010 Posted January 3, 2010 I think the UCS shuttle, may just be a remake of the older one, I dont know how TLC will remake it really big and detailed? Well, they have done it with Lukes Landspeeder, so I think they can do it again. CommanderFox Quote
rockinkurt13 Posted January 3, 2010 Posted January 3, 2010 Hey guys, i'm back and sorry for the slave 1 (and the absence), but they decided the "extra" figs would be too much for its price, but han in carb. is included, but their on the fence about the han real version. So, anyway got any Q's about the new sets? just ask... Quote
Darth Caedus Posted January 3, 2010 Posted January 3, 2010 This could likely be Bane's "Speeder". Would rock if it came with any of the other bounty hunters! Quote
TheBrickDaddy Posted January 3, 2010 Posted January 3, 2010 This could likely be Bane's "Speeder". Would rock if it came with any of the other bounty hunters! Exactly, we were thinking it could be the speeder from the end of Season 1 when he frees Ziro, or from the Season 2 episode where he attacks the Senate buliding. Quote

Would rock if it came with any of the other bounty hunters!http://i275.photobucket.com/albums/jj305/U...eSpeeder-HC.jpg This is what I was thinking as well, but couldn't quite remember which episode it was from. Was positive he did have some kind of speeder in one episode though, and I doubt they would have labeled it as a speeder if they meant his ship. Yes it is.This year has the biggest amount of SW lego, then any other year! I mean 16 sets! Maybe Lego are rolling out all these sets quickly before the liscense ends. CommanderFox More likely it's because the SW line has seen an explosion of popularity, certainly here in the UK where the sets are near impossible to find in stores. That's why we had that Sky News report that showed off some of the 2010 sets. Edited January 3, 2010 by Penitent Tangent Quote
Lego Person Posted January 3, 2010 Posted January 3, 2010 Wow This is so cooool!!! I wonder if it will include the emperor? Quote
Deinonychus Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 Man...I hope the shuttle isn't a Minifig-scale UCS like the Falcon...hacking out the numbers real quick, it looks like a display nightmare Length: 58' (Set 15.7") Height, flight mode: 102' (Set 27.6") Height, docking mode: 73' (Set 19.8") Width, flight mode: 105' (Set 28.4") Width, docking mode: 47' (Set 12.7") So yeah...a redesign of the smaller System-style Minifig-scale would be a lot easier to deal with Quote
Inconspicuous Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 This could likely be Bane's "Speeder". Would rock if it came with any of the other bounty hunters! If that's the speeder we're getting, I want Commando Droids. I really hope it's not the one from the series, because that's just a Magna-Guard Figther essentially. The other picture floating around here looks good, but I would rather have the Coruscant one. Quote
Oky Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 (edited) Hm... I do like the sound of a UCS Imp. shuttle, even though I wouldn't buy it. Strange, I mean, wouldn't that make more sense for the ROTJ anniversary? Oh well. 8099 is the Midi-ISD, right? So does this mean it's a walmart exclusive? Bane's speeder excites me the most. I like speeders in general, and I definitely wouldn't mind a second Bane fig. This could likely be Bane's "Speeder". Would rock if it came with any of the other bounty hunters! *crosses fingers for commando droids* I know Aura Sing isn't in the speeder, but it would be amazing if she were in the set! This has good news as well because it might be relatively cheap because of them rockinkurt13 saying, "the "extra figs" would be too much for its price,..." This could likely be Bane's "Speeder". Would rock if it came with any of the other bounty hunters! If it was to be that speeder I wouldnt want those figs expect for the commando droids because we already have assassin droids and the head of a weequay, but that doesnt bother me. Aura Sing would be awesome! Quote
Jar Jar Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 (edited) Rockinkurt, is the Swamp Speeder a CW set? And is the medical droid in Palpy's Shuttle the same one in the Grievous Starfighter? Edited January 4, 2010 by Jar Jar Quote
Lego Person Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 (edited) You got two more to add 30050 Republic attack shuttle??? 30051 X-wing?!?!? This has good news as well because it might be relatively cheap because of them rockinkurt13 saying, "the "extra figs" would be too much for its price,..." I don't think he meant Bossk when he said "extra figs," I think he was referring to those rumors that the set would also come with Chewie, Leia, and a few others, and that we won't be getting those characters. Though LEGO certainly has left out minifigs that were on preliminary boxes in the past, I'm still going to bet we will get Boba, Bossk, and Han in carbonite in that set. Is that what you meant Rockinhurt? That we will get Bossk, but not others like Leia and Chewie? Also, since you say they are on the fence about putting in Han, does that mean that the Carbonite piece does not fit a minifig? Because I thought that since it is so large looking, that the Han minifig went inside. Quote

Now that I'm informed I would have loved a Cloud City Leia that would have been pretty cool and maybe chewie could have had C3PO on his back. Anything else to say about the new sets Rockinkurt? Quote
Zzz Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 Any other new info, rockinkurt? I love to hear anything! My thoughts so far (and thanks everyone for posting the news here!): - Imperial Shuttle (of course!): Needed a redesign. I had hopes for a rebel version but since we got them all last year, it is ok how it is. I just hope for enough room and a boarding ramp. TLC used to fool us a bit with the "shuttle" thing in the past years, the Nu-class not having space for more than one? But since the original Lambda held 4 passangers, I have high hopes! Of course it is not going to be as big as the Falcon, only a very few sets are in exact measure of their movie counterparts, like the new X-Wing and Y-Wing(s), the new Republic Gunship. Some of them are too big (new Landspeeder, Snowspeeder) and most are too small (Shuttles eg.) while some are totally out of size (Star Destroyers, Tantive 4) - Banes Speeder: wow, didn't expect it. So he is not exclusive to the CTT? Then give us an ARF with the CTT, TLC! Also I wonder for other minifigure in the speeder... - Brickmaster sets: nice, looking forward for that shuttle, not expecting too much for the X, since it seems to have a shape that is difficult for TLC to handle. I can't wait until these summer sets are released they all look brilliant. I don't know. Bionicle, call it a plague if you will but it lasted for (if it started in 2001 or 2003) 7-9 years. And besides, it could be because they are running out of ideas or isn't drawing enough purchasers (I know there are the one's like us but I mean new people). Just ideas, I have no definate answer. There aren't any licences that have lasted longer than SW so far. It still is TLG's decision. I never thought Bionicle would end, but hey! Quote
