baby Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 (edited) Cool pictures! Oh, by the way, ARC seems to be from PT with as the pilot uses revealing face helmet. Thanks to Millacol for informing me. Edited September 7, 2009 by baby Quote
Corvus Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 Tie defender- I can't tell how much this one will be, but it looks very promising, from what I see the black pilot looks like a death star trooper with a closed helmet. I was wondering about that... That would be amazing if they did. Do you mean that little Flick-Fire 'Projectile' Launcher?Yes, I said it. Flick-Fire. These look different... When viewed large, they appear to actually be rockets on the end of the flick-fire. BTW KimT.... Nice name change. Suits you very well. Quote
Commander Assassin Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 Cool pictures! Oh, by the way, ARC seems to be from OT with as the pilot uses revealing face helmet. I didn't even now that the ARC was in OT... Quote
Millacol88 Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 I didn't even now that the ARC was in OT... It's not...I'm not sure what baby's on. Quote
UsernameMDM Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 Looking forward to the battle packs! Like the variety of the Imperial pack. Hopefully we will get Endor battle packs soon. Doesn't look like the Freeco bike comes with any clones. Could be wrong though. Quote
baby Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 (edited) Not sure whether it is OT or not, but the helmet for the clone pilot are new, which is face revealing like the one in Episode 3. Edited September 7, 2009 by baby Quote
Oky Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 (edited) Pics at last! Let's see: Rebel BP: Pretty much what I had expected from the start. And it looks like Darth Legolas was indeed right about the speeder being an ice cutter. Not very exciting but still good for parts I guess. I'll get one or two of these. Imperial BP: This turned out much better than I thought! An AT-AT driver AND a lieutenant! I'll definitely get at least two of these! I told you Oky, we would get an AT-AT pilot! Yeah, but you also told me we would be getting a Snow-Scout trooper. But I guess "always in motion the future is". I like it a lot better this way anyway. Freeco Bike: Well, the bike looks pretty good (better than most MOCs I have seen) except for the non-airtight cockpit (which was expected) but the rest of the set is kind of a disappointment. Obi in a snow suit is an obvious choice, and it comes with only one Talz warrior. No CATs, no Pantorans, no Narglatch, no nothing. And the pic looks pretty final, so I don't expect any big changes to the set. But again, the speeder is still nice, so I might get this at a reduced price. I just hope the Talz isn't too CW-ified so that we can use it in our Mos Eisley canitna. Droid Tri-Fighter: This actually looks pretty good. It may be a bit over scaled, but it looks more accurate than the last one, plus it comes with the rare rocket BDs instead of those ugly Buzz droids. I don't have the old one, so I'm glad they are releasing this. However, $30 seems too much for it, so I'll wait for a sale to get it. TIE Defender: I must admit, it looks better than I expected. But I'm still not a big fan of OT sets, especially not of TIEs, so I'll pass. Not sure whether it is OT or not, but the helmet for the clone pilot are new, which is face revealing like the one in Episode 3. That's great to hear, baby! Thanks! Btw, Arthas, I'll take that Venator now. Edited September 7, 2009 by Oky Wan Kenobi Quote
DarthSion Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 Those sets look interesting, i wonder why in 2009 with digital cameras in phones and iphones do leaks always look like they have been taken from a camera from the 80s. The droid and tie look like well technic, very ugly. The battle packs look good, look likely to be more expensive than this years. Quote
RileyC Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 Yay pictures! All the sets look pretty good, now time to give my analysis: Freeco Speeder: its looks really cool and the Talz (thanks ADHO15 ) looks really good with the torso piece being like chewbacca's but I thought the Talz were bigger than humans? The speeder looks really good quite a far bit of detail, although lots of stickers this should be relatively cheap. Tri fighter: looks great in my opinion. The green and dark blue look great together and the fanning effect used looks awesome. Im fine with the rocket battle droids in there because I didnt get the hyena droid bomber because the bomber wasnt that great but I will definitely buy this. TIE Defender: Im not a huge fan of EU so this doesnt really excite me that much. Sure it looks good and the three wings look good but I dont feel a great attachment to it. The minifigs are kinda average but the pilot (I think) looks to have a new helmet in my opinion. Its good that its in grey like the darth vader's TIE. I would rather have a TIE fighter with the grey instead of this though Rebel battle pack: Its good that we are getting a pilot in this and new faces for the soldiers but the speeder looks quite blocky to me. The colours are great on it but the front looks way too blocky and I think they should have rounded it instead. Imperial battle pack: Its great that we get an AT-AT driver even though it doesn't really fit in the set I'll still accept it. The speeder looks great in white but I can only see three minifigs. There is a minifig shaped blob by the turret but the helmet and legs don't seem right. What could it be? These sets look great and get a big from me. Also, is this meant to be the first wave or the second? Thanks for the pics Quote
LEGOMAN132 Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 (edited) the TIE Defender looks great. Edited September 7, 2009 by LEGOMAN132 Quote
UsernameMDM Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 Imperial battle pack: There is a minifig shaped blob by the turret but the helmet and legs don't seem right. What could it be? I am guessing something similar to one of these: Quote
AoNZ Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 I am liking all of these new sets. It's been a while since small sets have come around. Those with AT-AT Pilots should sell them now before these sets are released. I was really hoping for a Cold Assault Trooper instead of a main character as the main character defeats the purpose of multiples now. Quote

Baby are you loking a a internet picture or a retailer's cataloge? If you mean the links to the pictures this is what it says when i run it through a translator. Hi, we have found here sometimes a few very interesting pictures. So now first our opinion. Freccobike: The set gefält to me really well and because it a Talzfigur will contain, at least this figure iwie the way will find in my collection. Unfortunately, it looks thus as if it no Scheeklone separate only nen Anakin or Obi Wan as a driver of the bike adds. Droid Fighter: Because I rather the OT-Sammle this set will not probably find the way in my collection. But for collectors KUS certainly also because of the Navydroidenein very nice set. Tie Defender: Honestly said, I have not believed there really in it, however, this set gives Lego to us really. Also as a Reb must say I the set is also in this blurred picture very nicely also a Stormie with to the pilot adds I find well. Now to the Hoth Rebelltrooper BP: The Speeder looks untill sometimes bad and there also a pilot gives I find fantastically Imp. Battlepack: Very much a property are here the AT-AT Driver and the white Speederbike. Pity that is not so good the rest is to be recognized. Quote
prof1515 Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 (edited) Complaints about anything in the look of these sets is unwarranted at this time since they're obviously early versions. The helmet of the Rebel pilot in the Hoth set appears to be the checkerboard-patterned one of Biggs which of course wouldn't make sense since he died in Episode IV prior to the Battle of Hoth (although a flesh-toned Biggs would be a welcome addition). It's also reasonable to assume that the Tri-fighter will contain a buzz-droid and not necessarily three rocket droids. These are likely just the preliminary box designs sent out to retailers to give an idea of what the final products will look like. Same thing as early pictures of the Indiana Jones set Venice Canal Chase featuring Indy wearing an Imperial uniform. Therefore I wouldn't necessarily put hope into getting any of the figures like AT-AT drivers in the same form as we know them from existing sets. Edited September 7, 2009 by prof1515 Quote

Penitent Tangent Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 Not sure whether it is OT or not, but the helmet for the clone pilot are new, which is face revealing like the one in Episode 3. I assume you mean prequel, and not original trilogy? :) I don't suppose you happen to know if it's the same Kit Fisto that was released with Obi-Wans booster ring, or if it's a new version? Complaints about anything in the look of these sets is unwarranted at this time since they're obviously early versions. The helmet of the Rebel pilot in the Hoth set appears to be the checkerboard-patterned one of Biggs which of course wouldn't make sense since he died in Episode IV prior to the Battle of Hoth (although a flesh-toned Biggs would be a welcome addition). I mentioned it before, but Obi-wan appears to just be wearing Han's hoth clothes, rather than the white and red he wore in that episode. And the number of pieces listed on the boxes is way off. Over 400 pieces in $10 battlepacks? I think not. But I love these new sets, can't wait to see the rest of them.. The only one I don't particularly like is the Tie. I'm not a huge fan of the EU and the idea of just sticking more wings on a Tie Fighter reminds me of Star Trek fans that seem to think better ship design = more warp nacelles, so we end up with things like the Enterprise-X, which just look totally ridiculous.. But it seems to be popular, so I won't complain. But if we're going to be seeing more EU sets, why not something like the Moldy Crow? Quote
YG-49 Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 I have no idea why, but the "pilot" in the Defender looks like Garen Marek in his armor thinga-majig. I haven't played the game so don't say things like "That looks nothing like it!" However, DarthSion is perfectly welcome to. Quote
sith stalker Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 (edited) baby, can you pleas post everything you saw in that catalog that hasn't already been posted? I don't think the pilot is galen marek in his sith stalkr armor because it looks nothing like it! I played the game, can I say it too? but it's not impossible because tfu get's three extra levels featuring starkiller after the dark side ending of the game. but the roque shadow was destroyed and juno killed so starkiller probebly gets a new one person fighter from the emperor, which might be a tie defender. edit: in the new hoth level of the game starkiller looks more like the fig from the defender, so it might actually be him!!: Edited September 7, 2009 by sith stalker Quote
smokebelch Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 Awesome stuff, thanks for the link to the photos- very impressed with the minifigs in the Imperial battle pack, be great to get another AT-AT driver in a cheap set Quote

I Scream Clone Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 Yes baby, I too Would like to know where your getting all this 'information' as, to be frank, It seems like total megablocks. Comments like these are insulting to the member in question, baby, as well as rude. This is an adult site, so please try to act like an adult even if you don't believe what another member is posting. Suffice to say baby perhaps has a friend who may or may not be privy to the catalogue of new sets to be released next wave. If it is true then baby is doing you all a favour by sharing this news. If it isn't true then baby will be discredited once the sets are officially announced. I know it is fun to postulate on what may or may not be released as we are all fans of Star Wars Lego here, but please reframe from insults in future. Quote
Penitent Tangent Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 (edited) Yes baby, I too Would like to know where your getting all this 'information' as, to be frank, It seems like total megablocks. I was definitely suspicuous.. But so far he's been dead on, particularly with the Freeco bike. All of us assumed it would come with Rex and some snow Clones, somehow I don't think he just guessed the correct line up, shortly before we got the scans. You can't really expect him to give away his source though, he could get someone into a lot of trouble. For example, I have a friend who works for Sony testing game products, and he told me about the PSP Go, Slim Line PS3, etc, long before rumours started cropping up on game sites. I could have told a lot of those sites, but they probably wouldn't have believed me, and I couldn't tell them my source without putting the guys job in danger. So just be happy he's willing to give us information :) Edited September 7, 2009 by Penitent Tangent Quote
huck to flat Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 Yes, Well, I guess it's a bit harsh. I'm sorry baby. I tend to only believe stuff, when I see it. Quote
sith stalker Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 I find your lack of faith disturbing. baby has been right so far, so I think we can asume that what he tells us is true. but let's get back ontopic. Quote
