Darth Legolas Posted February 14, 2010 Posted February 14, 2010 The new Boba is stunning, it even has the braided hair thing on his armor! The sand blue is a bit odd, but nothing some bley limbs can't fix. The 'zombie' pilot is a bit odd, but it looks alright when a helmet is on. The grievous is weird looking, almost like those lego custom minifigs you find on ebay with a action figure head on it The Aayla is looking great, with lekku printing I think the zombie pilot is actually wearing a mask... perhaps it's one of those 10-second details like the Falcon hidden in Episode III. Or Lando wearing Han's clothes in Episode V! The best part about Boba is that Lego stood up to that idiot artist who drew Boba officially as an alien and made him a human. The sand blue is odd, though I think it's kind of accurate, just not the legs though... No doubt there will be an asterisk about that on Wookiepedia. I really do think Grievous looks too much like a Hasbro Action figure, Boba's in the right place, but Greivous is over-over-detailed. The one thing I wanted from Grievous was a power functions hole in his back that you could plug into the wall and make him spin his lightsabers. I'd give 20 bucks to anyone who could do that. Quote
KDog Posted February 14, 2010 Posted February 14, 2010 OMG, a functioning LEGO carbonite block! I've wanted that forever! Quote

RoryoCox Posted February 14, 2010 Posted February 14, 2010 Boba looks great. The blue along with the new helmet is a great mix. Thanks for the great pictures. The new Han looks nice along with his new torso print. Bossk is a good addition and the carbonite is just 1st class. Quote
Chewk Posted February 14, 2010 Posted February 14, 2010 The new clone pilot head seems useful: http://photos.sirstevesguide.com/lego/p33461-lego.html Quote
prateek Posted February 14, 2010 Posted February 14, 2010 These new pics are really cool. The only thing I don't like are the colours of the Slave I and the random white plates on Palpy's Shuttle. Quote
Klaus-Dieter Posted February 14, 2010 Posted February 14, 2010 (edited) Thank you very much for the links to the pics! Boba Fett, Greedo and Han in carbonite look really . But why aren't there any pics of the AT-AT and of 10212?! Maybe TLG will show these sets firstly at the end of NY Toy Fair. That sounds imo really unrealistic. Nevertheless I hope so. Otherwise I'll be getting very angry. Klaus-Dieter Edited February 14, 2010 by Klaus-Dieter Quote

Clone OPatra Posted February 14, 2010 Posted February 14, 2010 Aayla has sweet back printing, but still no good shot of Bane's face! Also, I think the Wampa officially looks spectacular. No Teddy Bear here, and the left arm is for picking up Luke. Fierce and sweet. Quote

Or was that drawing made before Attack of the Clones.....Also, Klaus-Dieter, Greedo isn't in the Slave 1 set, Bossk is In 1999, George Lucas approved a hideous abomination, known as Boba Fett's face. He had already planned for Boba to be a human, he had even planned the whole Jango-Clone thing by then, from what I hear, Boba was "mutated after many years of fighting battles" and "scars deformed his face and his hair turned white." That doesn't explain why he looks like a giant orange elf though. Bossk is looking very, very good. Not extremely overdetailed, but very similar to his movie form. I love how Lego feels the urge to put random attention-drawing Bounty Hunters with with Boba. After I get the Slave I, I'd just need a custom 4-LOM and Zukuss, and I'll have every OT bounty hunter. ILikePi Posted February 14, 2010 Posted February 14, 2010 Yay, Toy Fair pics! I must say, all the minifigs look stunning! The medical droid's torso looks very cool, but hopefully it isn't hollow on the back like super battle droids. I like how Anakin comes with one black arm and one medium flesh arm. Great attention to detail! The "zombie pilot" looks really funny without his helmet on. I love how Grievous has printed arms! Hopefully there'll also be a head on shot of him later on. EV-A4-D looks a bit odd at this angle. His head's too large, and his torso has lots of hollow spaces! R7-F5's Clone Wars style printing looks great! I like the combination of dark red and white. I'm not so sure on the wampa. He has awesome details like the fur and printed claws, but I don't like how he has so many hollow spots (inside of arms, inside of hands). Perhaps the hollow hands are for a play feature similar to the giant rock monsters? EDIT: It looks like the wampa can hold minifigs in its hands! Excellent printing on Aayla's attachable headpiece! Boba Fett looks spectacular! Two different guns, a more accurate contoured helmet, antenna piece to attach onto the helmet, separate sand green jetpack, small tattered cape, what more could you ask for? Well, aside of course arm and leg printing. Bossk has a great head mold! I like how his slightly opened mouth is printed. Carbonite Han looks very detailed. Really cool how he just out of the mold, and I like the printed control panels on the sides! Han Solo himself doesn't look that good to me, but it was about time that he got an updated head! Quote
Skyward72 Posted February 14, 2010 Posted February 14, 2010 Heres a clue to the exclusive minifigures. A book was given away with an all white boba fett mini figure at the Lego preview party. http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=3529...id=202559486798 Quote

And is 8128 Bane's speeder? I guess it must be... I wonder If they'll give Han/3PO and The rebel some kind of place to stand, or just throw them into the set like they did with all the extra figs in the X-Wing? Quote

Chewk Posted February 14, 2010 Posted February 14, 2010 I think the white Boba Fett may be a callback to the original concept art by Ralph McQuarrie. Quote
Darth Legolas Posted February 14, 2010 Posted February 14, 2010 So Endor AT-AT was a total lie... but there is an AT-AT and Cad Bane's speeder is real! We could always use the AT-AT as an Endor one, and I'm waiting for those 10212 pictures to come out! I'm almost sure of it, I remember they released the AT-OT and Dropship last year on the last day of the Toyfair. Let's wait and see! Quote
Clone OPatra Posted February 14, 2010 Posted February 14, 2010 Yes, more Commandos, and one of them is printed! Oh, that speeder set is going to be so nice because of it's figures. Quote
pugsx3 Posted February 14, 2010 Posted February 14, 2010 I think the white Boba Fett may be a callback to the original concept art by Ralph McQuarrie. I found some pictures of it at yakface .com can this be the chase figure this year Quote
-JD- Posted February 14, 2010 Posted February 14, 2010 I only just noticed the figures were different! We are getting Captain Argious (spelling?) in the speeder by the looks of it! And a new Bounty Hunter! Quote
CMP Posted February 14, 2010 Posted February 14, 2010 I'm guessing Bane's speeder is the one form the beginning of the episode Hostage Crisis, the other bounty hunter is probably one of his posse. I think it's the Weequay guy!!! Quote
Faramir Posted February 14, 2010 Posted February 14, 2010 Anyone remember if Lego did a special revealing for the Dropship/AT-OT last year? Because unless they're going to be doing something like that, I doubt that we'll be seeing the Imperial Shuttle today. Or the AT-AT, for that matter, but I believe we'll be seeing the shuttle first... Quote
Rufus Posted February 14, 2010 Posted February 14, 2010 I think I'm right in saying this is the first confirmation of the AT-AT besides rumour, tho' I could be wrong. That's a lot of minifigs in 8129. What's 3PO doing in there? Good to get General Veers without his visor on. Quote
-JD- Posted February 14, 2010 Posted February 14, 2010 I think the new bounty hunter is partly visable on the left page. Is it new, or another Weequay Pirate from the tank? Quote
