RoscoPC Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 Yes baby, I too Would like to know where your getting all this 'information' as, to be frank, It seems like total megablocks. Resellers have got the brand new catalog 2010 in these days, so we can expect to see tons of new pics in few hours Quote
huck to flat Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 (edited) Yes, Okay, thank you for the third time, I made a mistake sheesh! Now please lets move along. Edited September 7, 2009 by huck to flat Quote
pedro Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 Ah... new pictures, new heated discussion! Here's my thoughts... Freeco bike - Looks great to me. I like the design of this speeder and LEGO have done it justice (is that pixel a...? Wait - nevermind) Minifig selection at this price is what you'd expect - basic. Be glad we're getting a Talz, I'd have just expected just Obi or Anakin. Tri-fighter - Seems a bit pointless to me. The original resides on my shelf to this day and looks just as good as this 'new' version. Saying that the Tri-fighter set does have more, better minifigs (the buzz droid in its current incarnation is top of the list of my most hated minifgs) but thats not enough to swing a purchase from me at full price. TIE defender - Looks pretty cool. Looks pretty pricey. Looks like we might be seeing even more TIE fighter variants in proper colours... now that's a good thing! I do like this, it looks spot-on, but it won't be top of my list... Hoth battlepacks - These are HORRIBLE... ...just kidding, they're great! Alliance - 3 troopers and a rebel pilot; Empire - 2 snowtroopers, AT-AT pilot and Imperial Officer (Veers stylee). What a great line-up! And finally a 'proper' speeder bike in a battlepack too, excellent! The other models/parts are so-so but the minifigs are the main thrust of the set anyway. Minifigures are ok, but I hope it includes not only rebel troopers, but for instance Bren Derlin. Just a slightly different minifigure. Wow he'd definately be eligible for the Most Random Background Character Award Let's just hope they give 'em some different heads à la Battle of Endor. Yes baby, I too Would like to know where your getting all this 'information' as, to be frank, It seems like total megablocks. Almost spat my drink out when I read that. Bit harsh maybe? Quote
baby Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 (edited) I assume you mean prequel, and not original trilogy? :)I don't suppose you happen to know if it's the same Kit Fisto that was released with Obi-Wans booster ring, or if it's a new version? Definitely early versions. I mentioned it before, but Obi-wan appears to just be wearing Han's hoth clothes, rather than the white and red he wore in that episode. And the number of pieces listed on the boxes is way off. Over 400 pieces in $10 battlepacks? I think not. But I love these new sets, can't wait to see the rest of them.. The only one I don't particularly like is the Tie. I'm not a huge fan of the EU and the idea of just sticking more wings on a Tie Fighter reminds me of Star Trek fans that seem to think better ship design = more warp nacelles, so we end up with things like the Enterprise-X, which just look totally ridiculous.. But it seems to be popular, so I won't complain. But if we're going to be seeing more EU sets, why not something like the Moldy Crow? Maybe they just put Kit Fisto in it, since is a prelim, might change the fig in the future. Yup, I mean PT. baby, can you pleas post everything you saw in that catalog that hasn't already been posted? I don't think the pilot is galen marek in his sith stalkr armor because it looks nothing like it! I played the game, can I say it too? but it's not impossible because tfu get's three extra levels featuring starkiller after the dark side ending of the game. but the roque shadow was destroyed and juno killed so starkiller probebly gets a new one person fighter from the emperor, which might be a tie defender. edit: in the new hoth level of the game starkiller looks more like the fig from the defender, so it might actually be him!!: I ask my friend for pictures as I myself was curious too but he say is confidential and refuse to do so. But for Luke Landspeeder we will be getting Luke, Obi Wan, R2-D2, C-3PO and Sandtrooper. That's what i heard from my friend. As for the ARC I asked him about the Clone headgear and he told me that it is face revealing. Might be from Clone Wars or might not be I'm not sure, unless Lucas change the Clone Pilot helmet in the coming season. So I assume it was from PT. Edited September 7, 2009 by baby Quote
sith stalker Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 it's a shame we don't get one or two tuskens with the landspeeder, but finally ben and farm boy luke in a cheap set! I hope that instead of kit fisto, we get an aayla secura, ki-adi mundi or luminara unduli with the arc-170. Quote
trooper 278 Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 Well I have already posted that but It seems nobody watched it so again, else: there are two pictures of Anakin the first one- Anakin in FREECO BIKE ( someone said Ankin didn´t use freeco b.) And the second one Anakin with his BLUE clothes and Obi wan with his White clothes 1) 2) Now look at lego freeco bike the figure in blue clothes.... Well if we chose between Anakin and Obi Wan I think it is Anakin. Quote
Penitent Tangent Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 Maybe they just put Kit Fisto in it, since is a prelim, might change the fig in the future. I don't mind that it's a Kit Fisto, I'd be very happy to see him in another set. I just wanted to know if it was this one again, or if he's been redesigned. Quote
pedro Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 Now look at lego freeco bike the figure in blue clothes.... Well if we chose between Anakin and Obi Wan I think it is Anakin. Aye. Given choice I would've put a clonetrooper in there - make it even more viable as a multiple purchse. But hey! Anakin with Hoth Han's hood and a Talz will do just fine Quote
Darth Legolas Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 I noticed the colered spots in the rebel battle pack too, and given that we may get clone pilots with orange visors in the arc-170 starfighter set, it's possible that tlc also used them for the hoth rebel battlepack.but it would be better if they are greenish, like the movie. these are my opinions of the sets: freeco speeder: it's great we get a talz(you really whrite it with a z!!)but a pity there's no cat . droid tri-fighter: well... tie defender: oooohhhh, myyy, god!! anybody lost a amazing looking lego ship? rebel battle pack: who does'nt like more rebels to kill mmwwahahahahahaaa!! imperial battle pack: I like the speeder and the at-at driver, but what the force is that thing where the officer stands on? ps: i'm new, anybody saw the droids i'm looking for? High five! Same opinion! Especially on thee Tri-Fighter and the TIE fighter. I assume you mean prequel, and not original trilogy? :)I don't suppose you happen to know if it's the same Kit Fisto that was released with Obi-Wans booster ring, or if it's a new version? Definitely early versions. I mentioned it before, but Obi-wan appears to just be wearing Han's hoth clothes, rather than the white and red he wore in that episode. But it seems to be popular, so I won't complain. But if we're going to be seeing more EU sets, why not something like the Moldy Crow? I know this is Immature of me, but how dare you! I can't believe you'd badmouth that piece of beauty! Just the size of it makes me cry with joy! It's not a total chance that this is EU or TFU. In fact, the TIE Bomber was and the TIE Interceptor were seen in the movie so briefly that they barely count as OT, and not to mention the Interceptor was in a swarm of other TIE's making it barely noticeable. And, just to add, I think that was edited in by Lucas after the movie came out. So it's possible that this set is supposed to fit in with OT. And of course, I love it. If we got Galen Marek in Sith armor, it would be beyond awesome. I love that helmet! But of course, a normal stormie pilot would do just fine. And on the note that the new Rebels will have the orange visors of the ARC-170 pilots, I think that's just... well crazy! If anyone reads the news, Lego wants they're designers to reuse old parts as much as they can these days, because molds cost a fortune (please explain the Space Police Snake Helmet, never useable anywhere else ,) so they really wouldn't make a brand new mold and then scrap it 6 months later. Maybe the orange visor fits into the goggles, or maybe there is no orange, and the goggles go onto the ARC-170 pilots! P.S. I know it's pointless to argue, but it's not ridiculous. It's epic. Quote

Future74 Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 (edited) Wow he'd definately be eligible for the Most Random Background Character Award Let's just hope they give 'em some different heads à la Battle of Endor. Yes, why not? Bret Derlin could be like Captain Antilles in the RBR set. and if he's to random than maybe General Carlist Rieekan. Edited September 7, 2009 by Future74 Quote
Darth Legolas Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 Yes, why not? Bret Derlin could be like Captain Antilles in the RBR set. No, because people actually know who Antilles was. Everyone knows the famous scene of Vader choking him. Nobody's ever seen that guy's face up close unless they look on Wookiepedia. He's just another rebel. What's so important? Plus, there are no main characters in battle packs. Quote
Spyder Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 All the 2010 sets look absolutely amazing! I really love those battle packs. The Freeco Bike looks like it comes with one of those natives. Quote

ben506 Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 (edited) Not to agravate you but how are they not new? From this: I've just found pics of some of next year's sets: http://www.imperiumdersteine.de/showpost.p...p;postcount=338And we finally got a Talz, looks pretty impressing IMO. They are new, we just saw them yesterday. The pictures in the video do seem slightly clearer though. Edit: And you've edited quicker than I can post. Oh well. Maybe let others know we already have the pictures before they post them again. Edited September 7, 2009 by ben506 Quote
Commander 501 Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 Oh, your right they aren't new. As we do already know them, they are not new to us. Those sets have been discussed on the last 10 pages, so we are not surprised by the video. Thanks anyway! I suppose that the video was made after the producer found the pics here at eb, so... Quote
BrickBomb Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 Thank you ben for explaining. Can't wait till toy fair lego pics come out. Quote
Klaus-Dieter Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 Since we've got now pics of the TIE Defender, The Tri Droid Fighter, the Freeco Speeder and the two awesome Hoth BPs but no pics of the ARC Starfighter and Luke's Landspeeder I fear that those two sets will firstly come out in spring (like this year's Ashoka's Starfighter and Count Dooku's Solar Sailor) and so we will firstly see some pics in a few months. Nevertheless I hope this isn't the case. Klaus-Dieter Quote

Klaus-Dieter Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 Your probaly right. I don't hope so but imo it is well possible - I thought since there are seven and not only six sets on the list for the first wave. Btw: Welcome to EB, BrickBomb! Klaus-Dieter Quote
