-Tilius- Posted February 28, 2010 Posted February 28, 2010 I think there's two studs on the top of it.. Aren't there two studs inside it for Han to stand on? - Tilius Quote
ILikePi Posted February 28, 2010 Posted February 28, 2010 (edited) The chrome stormtrooper polybag looks great! I already have the magnet set, but the quality is horrible. The helmet and hip connects are extremely weak, and all the joints move around too easily. Hopefully these polybags will be of higher quality, since the parts are made in Denmark and China (I'm guessing that the parts are made in Denmark, and were chromed in China). This polybag looks like a great collectible that I would love to keep MISB! Hopefully It'll be available in other places, too. RileyC Posted February 28, 2010 Posted February 28, 2010 The polybag Chromie looks great and I hope they come down to New Zealand cause I dont want to buy the magnet that much because of its quality . Thanks for the news! Quote

CommanderFox Posted February 28, 2010 Posted February 28, 2010 Thanks for the news lluisgib! That does look like one nice stormie. I hope that promotion comes to NZ! CommanderFox Quote
The Legonater Posted February 28, 2010 Posted February 28, 2010 If that is true, then that feature is pretty cool. The sticker is a Mythosaur skull, the Mandalorian symbol. You can see it on Fett's arm. I wonder if it'll be on the minifig, on the cloth part? I'm honestly not too concerned about the cockpit. If it's dark, then it'll look better. If it's clear, then you can see more of the interior. I haven't got a Slave 1 set yet, so it doesn't matter much. That applies to many other sets: I haven't got a single Snowspeeder, Jedi Starfighter... The skull, that isn't the same skull seen on the Magnaguard starfight and Gerivous' cape, right? If it is, then that's wierd... Quote
JimBee Posted February 28, 2010 Posted February 28, 2010 Aren't there two studs inside it for Han to stand on? Nope, just handlebars on the inside, and the imprints of his hands facing out on the outside. Not a single stud. And if you look closely, you can see that the dark pearl silver is marbled- meaning, there are waves of of different shades and colors on the piece. Would this mean a bad quality part, like the kind you see in cheap toys, or a mis-mold for Shadows to hoard? On the polybag- I wonder why they did this? Only 2000 to go around in just over a week, and we already have the magnet. The magnet figure looks perfectly normal to me, no signs of bad quality. Then again, I don't move it's arms and legs around much, so they're still stiff. Well good for those who are lucky enough to find this in their next SW set. Quote
The Who Posted February 28, 2010 Posted February 28, 2010 Was the chrome stormie actually in the box, or was the bag handed to you seperately? Quote

Also, on the Han-carbonite thing, the dark marbled pa\tter isn't bad quality, it's the same color as 2006 Bionicle parts, the spheres and some armor. I don't quite consider it studless, even though it has no studs, it still is compatible with other Lego parts. The most un-connectible parts were those in the old RC's, there were 4 or 5 of them, barely resembling Lego. Quote
Brickus Posted February 28, 2010 Posted February 28, 2010 The polybag Chromie looks great and I hope they come down to New Zealand cause I dont want to buy the magnet that much because of its quality . Thanks for the news! I believe it is the same quality, look where it is made. Quote
CommanderFox Posted February 28, 2010 Posted February 28, 2010 I wouldn't be to fussed about the quality of the carbonite, afew Lego pieces of mine are like that, and they are totally fine! CommanderFox Quote
Inconspicuous Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 New Brickmaster Promo for July-August 2010: 20016 Mini Imperial Shuttle (70 pieces) (Clicky) I personally don't think it's much of an improvement from the previous one: Enjoy! Quote
Natman8000 Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 Imperial shuttle? Where did that come from? I fail to see why they would want an Imperial shuttle as a BM set. There really is nothing exciting about it, nor is it iconic. I think LEGO should have made it something more marketable. Quote
ILikePi Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 Thanks for the scan Inky! It doesn't seem that good, but I'll wait for a review (by "review" I mean your's ) before commenting more on it. If it turns out to be good, I might have to subscribe for LEGO BrickMaster to get it! Quote
Oky Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 Thanks for the news, Inky! The news just keep rolling in this weekend. I personally don't think it's much of an improvement from the previous one: You're right, but then again, the previous version was pretty spot-on to begin with. It's just not a very complex vehicle to recreate. While I like the improvements that have been done (the cockpit and wing turret), I can't help but feel that they are just rehashing the first minis for promotionals like this. Would be nice to see something new once in a while. Quote

Maybe it has something to do with 10212? Maybe it's a mini model of that. I hope not though because then that would mean the the shuttle in 10212 would be just a semi-standard shuttle which isn't very interesting... But hey, I missed the first version, so either way it's great! Edited March 1, 2010 by CaptainRex110 Quote

I hope not though because then that would mean the the shuttle in 10212 would be just a semi-standard shuttle which isn't very interesting... My thoughts exactly! Think about it- the last minis made have been the RAS, the X-wing, GG Starfighter, V-19 Torrent, Republic Gunship, and the AT-TE. All of them have regular-sized models available within the last one or two years and next year. Imperial Shuttle? Must be a sign. Quote
CommanderFox Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 Thanks for that pic Inky! I think you and CaptainRex110 are right about it being a mini of 10212. CommanderFox Quote
YG-49 Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 I just noticed Bossk's back printing. It looks excellent. Quote
RileyC Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 Thanks for the info Inky. Meh it just looks the same as the last one just without the printing on the cockpit. Its a really uninteresting mini compared to the new X wing and RAS. Quote
lluisgib Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 Was the chrome stormie actually in the box, or was the bag handed to you seperately? The offer is that TRU gives you a Polybag if you buy a minimum of 30€ of LEGO SW. Lluis Quote
-Tilius- Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 Might've been pointed out already, but the new magnets and keyrings are on S@H now. - Tilius Quote
Strand Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 If you pick up another of these, I will buy one off of you. Name a fair price and I will pay that and shipping. I would like it in the bag. Please let me know if you are interested. My email address is sstoroe@yahoo.com ^Refrain from this please. If you want to purchase stuff, go in the right subforum or send him a PM. The chromie seems a sweet bonus, similar to how the chrome Vader worked in Europe, pick up a set and the clerks gives you a Vader from under the counter. I already have a couple chromie magnets but the quality seems a little iffy. Loose joints and such. Quote
Jar Jar Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 Well I guess we know that the 10212 is an Imperial Shuttle. Think about it: It comes with an Imperial SHUTTLE Pilot, a MINI etc. I hope to see more imformation soon! Quote
SWMAN Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 I personally never saw the purpose of the Mini sets. While they were cool to display, they didn't have an abundance of detail and served no purpose other than to collect dust. I think the BM sets should be more promotional and include a figure and a large set. Just my opinion though. Quote
