jansued Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 Hi! Just found the CTT on a new trailer: http://www.starwars.com/walmart/video1.html And here is some kind of a new shuttle in the Background: http://www.starwars.com/walmart/video2.html (In the Hangar scene at the end...) Navy Trooper Fenson Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 (edited) Since we've got now pics of the TIE Defender, The Tri Droid Fighter, the Freeco Speeder and the two awesome Hoth BPs but no pics of the ARC Starfighter and Luke's Landspeeder I fear that those two sets will firstly come out in spring (like this year's Ashoka's Starfighter and Count Dooku's Solar Sailor) and so we will firstly see some pics in a few months. When you speak from the devil... http://www.imperiumdersteine.de/attachment...mp;d=1252352075 http://www.imperiumdersteine.de/attachment...mp;d=1252352082 Landspeeder looks like the landspeeder from 4501 in tan colors and comes with Ben, Luke, R2, 3PO and Sandtrooper (looks like a plain black pauldron). ARC-170 comes with 2 new Clone Pilots (like from ROTS), a green Jedi (Kit Fisto reuse?) and red Astromech. Euro prices in Germany are: 14,99€ per BP 26,99€ for Freeco, TRI-Fighter and Landspeeder 49,99€ for TIE Defender 69,99€ for ARC-170 Other european countries shouldn Edited September 7, 2009 by Navy Trooper Fenson Quote

Landspeeder looks... a bit big Still a great fig selection, though. I'm thinking this one might go for about $20 ARC looks pretty nice too, though similar to the first... I think it is the one from Quest for R2-D2, also. Quote
Oky Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 Woohoo! Even more pics! I am SO getting these two! The minifig selection in the Landspeeder is great IMO and the set itself looks great too. It even has the hull-less engine! The ARC-170 looks awesome too. It looks like the one from Quest for R2D2, so it looks like that was a sneak peek after all. Quote
BrickBomb Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 Is that two new helmets for arc-170? I like the new arc-170 better than the old one. Quote
Rufus Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 Yay! Landspeeder - I didn't catch either of the earlier ones, happy to have Tatooine Luke and old Obi. Like the curved windscreen. ARC - only recently bought 7259 for an £60 MISB but I'll probably get this too. I 'allow' myself CW sets if they also appeared in PT, or if they are good sets (eg. Republic Attack Shuttle). About the others, the BPs look great and even though I don't 'get' the Defender will probably buy it. I'm with Klaus-Dieter and others - why not a classic Tie in grey? I'm a little ashamed to say I don't own a classic Tie I'm looking forward to news of Palpy's shuttle, would love a decent Lambda but would settle for the Theta from ROTS. Rufus Quote
Oky Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 (edited) Is that two new helmets for arc-170? Yes! Or at least somebody on the last few pages "confirmed" that they reveal the face of the pilots as they should: Can't wait to see clearer pics of those figs! I like the new arc-170 better than the old one. Seconded. The engines and the nose look much better now. Btw, I just noticed that the sandtrooper seems to have a black pauldron. I hope that changes in the final product. Edited September 7, 2009 by Oky Wan Kenobi Quote

It kinda looks like the helmets only show the eyes of the trooper. I have the old one so when i rebuild it and get the new one, ill try to compare. Quote
Gnewal Gwevus Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 WOW. So are those Phase Two helmets, or custom ones like shadow squadron has. And that's definitely Kit Fisto. Btw has anyone seen any pics for the August sets (now that all of the Jan ones are official) like the CTT, Plo Koon's Starfighter and the Slave I? This is (I might be wrong) what I think they'll include) Plo Koon's Starfighter * Plo Koon (in Starfighter) *R7-f5 *Vulture Droid *Some Sep Mini (Rocket BD, Rocket SBD, Buzz Droid) Palpatine's Shuttle *Palpatine (emperor) *Thire *Shock Troopers (2?) *Anakin/Darth Vader Clone Turbo Tank *Jedi (anakin, ahsoka or obi wan) *Clone Commander (Cody or Rex) *Clones 1-3 *Battle Droid Wampa Attack *Wampa *Luke (Scared) *Han Solo? Tauntaun or skeletal Tauntaun? General Grievous' Starfighter *Grievous *Magnaguard (2?) yay i hope! but ya never know Quote
TheBrickHitHouse Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 Wouldnt take the landspeeder if you gave it to me - not a single new fig, just dull - if i get another C3PO i will scream! TIE Defender looks incredible - just massive (is that a new fig I see?) Odd that Lego always makes TIE's blue...yet the one TIE that is blue is done in grey (i prefer grey) Overall, nothing to really get too excited about - but better than last January's releases Quote
BrickBomb Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 Hopefully the stormtrooper in the landspeeder has a new designed basooka like in battlefront 1 and 2. Quote
CaptainRex110 Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 (edited) Am I not seeing something that you guys are? Where are these pictures?! EDIT: Nevermind, finally found them. Edited September 7, 2009 by CaptainRex110 Quote
Oky Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 It kinda looks like the helmets only show the eyes of the trooper. Well, I can imagine that the thin part that covers the chin of the pilot ends up covering almost the whole mouth of a minifig. But we'll see. I'd love to see your comparison. So are those Phase Two helmets, or custom ones like shadow squadron has. Yes, those are Phase 2 pilots. So, I guess the rumor that this set is ROTS based is true, and Fisto is probably the bonus Jedi that TLG tends to throw into sets. Btw has anyone seen any pics for the August sets (now that all of the Jan ones are official) like the CTT, Plo Koon's Starfighter and the Slave I? Member rockinkurt claims that he has. The rumor mentioned above is from him, and he says the Slave 1 comes with Boba Fett, Bossk, Han Solo, Leia, Vader and Chewie. Quote
ADHO15 Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 Yes! Or at least somebody on the last few pages "confirmed" that they reveal the face of the pilots as they should: Can't wait to see clearer pics of those figs! I made that. The new sets look great! I might have to sell the old ones and use the money to buy the new ones, seeing as lots are repeats of sets I have already. Quote

Odd that Lego always makes TIE's blue...yet the one TIE that is blue is done in grey (i prefer grey) Overall, nothing to really get too excited about - but better than last January's releases I guess we have differing opinions then. I hate the TIE Defender, but love the landspeeder. It's great to see a return to the cheap sets and both Obi-Wan and C-3PO are two characters that haven't come with any sets for years, with the exception of the very expensive UCS Death Star. They could have done more with it, but I'm happy. I also love the ARC Fighter, I never got the chance to pick one of those up last time so I definitely will now. The new Clones look good and another set with Kit Fisto is always welcome, although I'd have liked to see a Clone Wars redesign for him.. Hopefully we'll see Aayla Secure, Ki Adi Mundi or Shaak Ti sometime soon. :( Edited September 7, 2009 by Penitent Tangent Quote
382nd Legionnaire Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 Not sure if people have seen this so don't flame me if it's already up because i looked and it wasn't there.: It's a video showing most of the new speculated sets except the ARC 170. I dunno if the battle pack piece count is right hence the large number of pieces for the snowtrooper BP. Quote
steele Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 (edited) $50 TIE Defender? Great news IMHO. One of my all-time fave SW vehicles, and having 50% more wings and guns than any other TIE, it *should* have a lot more parts and cost more than others. Can anyone make out the piece count from the pic? Kind of looks like 242 but that's too low given size/price and compared to the Tri-fighter's 268. Luke's landspeeder will be worth it for all those tan and dark red parts alone. Edited September 7, 2009 by steele Quote
Commander Assassin Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 (edited) I love these! I have been wanting the landspeeder from the Cantina, but now I know I will wait for this one. I am also very excited that we are Phase II pilots! Although I am not seeing any trans-orange that I was hoping for. Maybe there is only a shadow... EDIT: Also, I am hoping that the TIE fighter pilot in the Defender will feature a new air hose piece also included with the Phase II pilots!! The Who Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 These look different... When viewed large, they appear to actually be rockets on the end of the flick-fire. There are 1x1 Dark Bley cones on the ends of the flick-fires. http://www.imperiumdersteine.de/attachment...mp;d=1252352075http://www.imperiumdersteine.de/attachment...mp;d=1252352082 Thanks Navy Trooper Fenson!Arc 170: Looks so much like the old one I would only buy it for the figs, unless it had some extremely useful parts in it. Landspeeder: I am really happy to see this. I don't remember who it was, but somebody said it would probably have the Speed Racer windshield, and it looks like they were right. Although it is still a little too similiar to the one that came with the Cantina, this is an absolute must-have for me. I do have the cantina, but that Sandtrooper has a solid black pauldron and I could use a few more fleshie OT figs. Quote
ILikePi Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 (edited) Great find Navy Trooper Fenson! The landspeeder looks great, and the included minifigures are amazing! Finally, a cheap way to get a C-3PO! I'll comment more on the ARC-170 and landspeeder later; right now, I'm using my brother's iPod touch. Edited September 8, 2009 by ILikePi Quote

BrickBomb Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 I might pick up the fresco speeder. And im most likely gonna pick up the Clone Turbo Tank. I missed the 2006 or 2005 version of it. Quote
baby Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 Cool, finally I get to see the pictures. Quote
Fumoffu Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 I think the new ARC 170 is much closer to the movie version than the first Lego ARC 170 we got. The engine intakes looks much more closer to the correct scale. Having Fisto in this set is a bit random but then his only other appearance in Lego was random too. I think this will be a great set but how much will it be? Quote
Darth Legolas Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 Wow! That landspeeder looks great! It's the new feel with the windshield, yet it kept to the old style design from before 2004! Sadly, no Sand Red, but I love this and the minifigs!! If only there were one tusken raider. Luckily I have two, so I can perfectly recreate the seen! ARC's looking great! I may buy this...but probably not. I already have the old one and Kit Fisto, and the pilots do seem cool but unappetizing to me. Of course, I did break my old ARC... The TIE Defender definitely says 242, by the way. At most it could be 30. In fact, that's probably the price. And one last thing, it also took me a long time to find those last two's pictures. Quote
