CaptainRex110 Posted August 27, 2009 Posted August 27, 2009 (edited) Image? I'm looking forward to the Turbo tank (I missed the 1st one) and Plo Koons (it sounds interesting). But then again I like them all! (except GG Fighter - 1st one was only ok) Edited August 27, 2009 by CaptainRex110 Quote
Navy Trooper Fenson Posted August 27, 2009 Posted August 27, 2009 (edited) News on the Promo Speeder: The vehicle is small, brown and comes with a standard Stormtrooper. The boxart shows the speeder and trooper with Endor background and it stated a piececount of around 20. Setnumber is 80005. My friend wasn Edited August 27, 2009 by Navy Trooper Fenson Quote
KimT Posted August 27, 2009 Author Posted August 27, 2009 Thanks Navy Trooper Fenson. I'll make sure to add that to the first post. Quote
Skipper 24 Posted August 27, 2009 Posted August 27, 2009 The speeder sounds interesting. Sounds like just one of the Endor Speeders with a trooper. Shame it's a promo though.. Quote
Navy Trooper Fenson Posted August 27, 2009 Posted August 27, 2009 Here a picture of how it is supposed to look like. It´s not an offical photograph from LEGO, just build around his memories. Quote
Emperor Claudius Rome Posted August 27, 2009 Posted August 27, 2009 Were are the Clone wars sets? I thought we'd be getting Mandalorians in the new sets Quote
382nd Legionnaire Posted August 27, 2009 Posted August 27, 2009 Were are the Clone wars sets? I thought we'd be getting Mandalorians in the new sets yeah i was thinking the same. the second season of the clone wars are supposed to have mandalorians as seen in the trailer. Quote

Darth Legolas Posted August 27, 2009 Posted August 27, 2009 (edited) I'm disappointed . I wasn't really paying attention to the whole rumor as I doubted that it was true a little, and it wasn't Hoth, but what the heck is that? Really, it's not often Lego makes non-canon promos. In fact, not ever! Navy Trooper Fenson, did your friend build this brick-for-brick or just out of vague memory? Edited August 27, 2009 by Darth Legolas Quote
wackyfm Posted August 27, 2009 Posted August 27, 2009 8097 - Slave I Pieces: XXX Price: ? EUR / ? USD Minifigs: 6 (Boba Fett, Bossk, Han Solo, Leia, Vader and Chewie) Release: Aug 2010 S@H I wished the new Slave one would have been UCS but minifig scaled, ala 10179... So it would match in scale this magnificent set. Slave 1 is shorter than the MF, and it could have been a decent 3000 pcs set. since 2010 in ESB 40 anniversary (and an equaly scaled Tydirium in 2013 would also be great). But if set number realy is 8097, no chance Wakwak Quote
TheBrickDaddy Posted August 27, 2009 Posted August 27, 2009 At first glance I am not entirely impressed with this list. I am looking forward to the new CCT though, the old one leaves a lot to be desired. Let's not judge, though, considering what happened to the RBR recently! It will be interesting to see if they use the same mold for Boba and not the new jetpack; I'm going to assume that Palpatine's shuttle, GG's starfighter and the CCT are Clone wars because episode 3 is long gone! What I just realized as I'm typing this is: OH MY GOD! A NEW GRIEVOUS HEAD! (Either it will be really cool looking, or just terrible like all the other CW faces... most likely the latter. ) And what happened to the Invisible Hand we were supposed to get?!?!?! Quote
CommanderFox Posted August 27, 2009 Posted August 27, 2009 (edited) OOOOHH!!! next year looks very promising!! Im really hoping its gonna be Jangos slave 1, as we have already had like 2-3 Boba's (sorry can't remember ) so its high time for another Jangos slave 1! I hope the ARC will be a stronger fighter, cause last time I heard the conection from the cockpit to the wings was alittle weak, hopefully TLC will mend it this time YAY!! Plo koons fighter! I really hope this will be made into a set and not just a rumour all the rest look very good aswell!! And it looks like it wont be a very expensive year aswell! thats nice to know CommanderFox Edited August 27, 2009 by CommanderFox Quote
DarthSion Posted August 27, 2009 Posted August 27, 2009 How complete is the list, i mean theres still a chance of unknown sets to come right, i really wish we could get more TFU, especially with Tatooine mission pack out. Quote

rockinkurt13 Posted August 28, 2009 Posted August 28, 2009 http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/File:R7-F5.jpg Here's a hint to the astromech droid in Plo's StarFighter. The name... R7-F5 ! and obviously Plo Koon, happy? Those are the minifigures for Plo's StarFighter. and maybe a few droids, have to keep some secret. *wink*wink* Quote
slavicvlad Posted August 28, 2009 Posted August 28, 2009 Does the Slave I set include a small chunk of cloud city? Or is it just like X-wing, where it contains extra figures that don't particularly belong with the ship? Quote

Or is it just like X-wing, where it contains extra figures that don't particularly belong with the ship? I'd imagine it will be more like the X-wing, else it would be very expensive. To all the people who are expecting Jango's Slave 1, I highly doubt it. Episode two is long since forgotten by TLC's designers, I'm sure. Although, there is a chance this will be CW, right? Its possible young Boba will make an appearance in season two, having commandeered his father's armour and ship, no? Or its possible this is the first set based on the live-action series, which will feature Boba Fett. Maybe I'm reading to much into this, and this is just a set to appease OT fans like me. Quote
Faramir Posted August 28, 2009 Posted August 28, 2009 Does the Slave I set include a small chunk of cloud city? Or is it just like X-wing, where it contains extra figures that don't particularly belong with the ship? There's no way to know until we see some prelim pictures... even then, we may not know for sure... I remember a the Battank prelim had a whole base to go along with it, which was cut by the end PS Since you're new, you may want to introduce yourself here Quote
Derek Posted August 28, 2009 Posted August 28, 2009 I'm checking my computer more than often lately because I'm nervous I'm going to miss pics. I'm such a dork, but aren't we all? Hopefully Slave I will get a larger set treatment, instead of $50 as in the past. I a set with a $100 tag could do it justice. Quote
DarthSion Posted August 28, 2009 Posted August 28, 2009 I am really surprised by lego, some missed opportunities, nothing done for the 10th anniversary of TPM, and nothing for TFU. Quote
Destroydacre Posted August 28, 2009 Posted August 28, 2009 The CTT, ARC-170, Grievous Fighter, and Palpatine's Shuttle all may very well be CW sets. We will just have to wait and see. I was just watching EP III right before the new sets' names were revealed and when Palpatine's ship landed on Mustafar to search for Darth Vader after he deuled with Obi-wan, I thought, "I can't believe Lego hasn't made a set of that ship yet!" I'm kind of hoping that one will be a PT set, but as you mentioned, we really won't have any clue until we get pictures. I'd be pretty shocked if the Clone Turbo Tank, ARC-170 and Grievous Fighter sets aren't CW though, just because they've already made PT versions of those. I'd love a new system Millenium Falcon or Outrider. If they do make a third falcon, I think it would be pretty neat to have it be based on the DS II assault in ROTJ. It could have Lando and Nien Numb with a few other rebel pilots. I think it would fit in with the trend. The first falcon was base on A New Hope and the second on Empire Strikes Back. Just a thought anyway. Quote

You mean 6th, 2 normal, the new mid scale, a mini, and UCS. Another damn MF is NOT needed, ever ever ever again. Quote
