commdr_neyo Posted May 23, 2010 Posted May 23, 2010 (edited) It's not neccesarily spefic- they don't call him Jayfron, so he could 'realistically' be any captain. Although they don't call him Jayfon, I'm 100% sure it's him. Just look at the hi-res picture and compare his armor with some refrence. Edited May 23, 2010 by commdr_neyo Quote
John31388 Posted May 23, 2010 Posted May 23, 2010 I agree commdr_neyo it is jayfon, The pics make it clear. Quote
The Crazy One Posted May 23, 2010 Posted May 23, 2010 (edited) The question that needs to be asked is ' how can it not be Jayfon? '. At this scene there are many commandos, but only one with any important markings, Jayfon. He is holding a gun which he doesn't have in this scene, but that is Legos creative liscense. Secondly, Lego are not always the most accurate when putting figures in sets, but since Jayfon is only ever present in this episode, it's safe to assume it's correct. In a nutshell, it's Jayfon. BrickPerfection Posted May 23, 2010 Posted May 23, 2010 (edited) I'm not a Lego Star Wars expert, but isn't 8088 almost similar to a set released earlier? 8097 is very similar to older sets for sure as an early review showed already! Sorry if this has been stated already, but I have to say that I detest the same sets being released over and over again with just small changes... Actually a lot of different scenes have been released in this line, but still: I don't see any sense in rereleasing the same ones without doing all the others first Just my thoughts in this very moment... However some of the models look much better than any of those released before, esspecially the mini models have improved by a lot! Also Grevious' star fighter is great as several reviews have shown! In addition I like Palpatines Shuttle, but the rest.. well I'm not sure but seems a little uninspired I guess... Edited May 23, 2010 by Perfectionist Quote

General Magma Posted May 24, 2010 Posted May 24, 2010 It's not really needed to have the right name on the box instead of a troop type, or the other way round, right? I'm sure it won't cause the apocalypse. Besides, he could be used as any captain, not just Jayfon. ~ General Magma Quote

-JD- Posted May 24, 2010 Posted May 24, 2010 (edited) I was thinking about that too. I was also kinda hoping for a Captain Argyus. That guy rocks (mainly because he's voiced my James Marsters, but whatever ) [off-topic] Really?! I though I recognised that voice! If they release him they need to inlcude his face! Perhaps it could be used for Braniac? [/off-topic] Just like Commander Cody in the CTT from 2005, Jayfon in Bane's Speeder follows the same classic LEGO trend. If I remember correctly Cody was titled as a generic Clone Trooper, when we all though he was Commander Cody. Btw, imagine if Jayfon was reused in a new (Senate Commando) BP like Cody was! It was Bly, not Cody. That would be great, but I highly doubt it. His patterns are too complex for Lego to bother putting him in a battle pack, but a senate commando battle pack would be delicious. Uh, I'm very sure it won't cause the apocalypse. Stop thinking that- *BOOM* Now back on-topic, I partly agree with JD about the name. It could be changed later, but on the other side, the box-art looks very final already. I don't care much about it though, it's just a name put on the box and that's it. ~ General Magma Quote

sok117 Posted May 25, 2010 Posted May 25, 2010 I don't think we will be seeing an Aurra Sing figure anytime soon because the head would be way to hard to make into a mould. All she has is a sinlt pony tail and a long antenae sticking out of her bald head, if tlc somehow managed to squeeze that all into one stud on the top of her head, then I can't say it would look very good at all. And even if they did manage that, it would be way to thin and delecate for play with kids, maybe even to delecate to make it in the box. TLC could always omit her antenae but the die hard SW fans wouldn't be to happy about that. I still hope we get one though, but you guys may not be happy with the result if we do get it. Quote

I'm not so sure. A normal white head would be fine, and I don't think the antanae is necessary- it's barely noticable. The piece the fits into the Pirate tricorns is pretty close to a ponytail... not quite, but if LEGO did some tweaking it could be very good. Quote

A) The antenae* would be removed / The hair would be similar to a plume, but minus the part that fits in the plume size holes(maybe likely to happen(in my dreams)) B) She won't be made(maybe likely to happen) C) A new head mold would be made, with a thick antenae and hair(unlikely to happen) D) If A or C, it's possible she'll be part of a contest that people will sell for $500+ *I am a SW fan, but not one of the ones that knows everything, so I always thought it was a needle. I think we will see Aurra(i hope so at least) -without antennae- but with ponytail- it took over ten years before rebel pilots get their big orange glasses and those are much bigger than little antennae - die hard fans can try to customize it if that's so important but i don't think it is.... still rebels are lacking microphone and thats about same thing as lacking antennae - also lego bane has too big breathing thingy- Aurra cannot be much worse... I agree commdr_neyo it is jayfon, The pics make it clear. And Jayfon has clone head i believe- didn't old commandos had them too (never get any- venator was sooo overpriced)... that is soooo dumb they should but plain black head instead it is specifically said that those guys aren't clones ... and TLG adds clone heads to add confusion among younger fans.... TheBrickHitHouse Posted May 26, 2010 Posted May 26, 2010 It's a tad annoying that the commandos have clone heads but it's better than having no faces at all, I'm glad TLG have been doing that less. I'd have liked the captain to have a distinctive face but just glad to be getting one at all, can always customise anyway Quote
