PocasNuckie Posted June 7, 2010 Posted June 7, 2010 About the new magnet pack, I must say I am very happy with it. I already have a Kit Fisto, but it doesn't bother me to have another one, but the main thing is I don't need to buy a 2nd Arc-170 (I have the old one) to get a Jag, and most of all I don't need to pay a fortune for that Swamp Speeder where the only thing I want is Bariss. This pretty much remembers me when not long ago I was going to spend a fortune on sets just to have CW Mace , Yoda and Dooku, and then them 3 came out in a Magnet Pack wich I ended up buying. Yes, the Magnet figures quality maybe inferior, but me and probably lots more aren't rich enough to have all we want too, so we got to use some shortcuts, and for that I thanks LEGO a lot for releasing these Magnet Packs. Cheers Quote
The Legonater Posted June 7, 2010 Posted June 7, 2010 Glad they decided to skip the Clone Trooper and replace the cut-out with an explosion. But it's a lame explosion... I guess nothing's perfect . Quote
BrickClick Posted June 8, 2010 Posted June 8, 2010 (edited) I think the new sets look great! I'll defiantly be getting the Slave I and the Wampa cave (I'm an OT fan ) But it's a lame explosion... Is there such a thing? Edited June 8, 2010 by BrickClick Quote
The Legonater Posted June 8, 2010 Posted June 8, 2010 Is there such a thing? I guess there is now ! Quote
Big Cam Posted June 8, 2010 Posted June 8, 2010 But it's a lame explosion... I guess nothing's perfect . I agree, it kind of looks like a quick Photoshop job. I'm not sure though. Quote
Jedi Master Fangorn Posted June 9, 2010 Posted June 9, 2010 I think it's fantastic that we finally get a much more affordable Kit Fisto, plus the other two minifigures. These magnet packs have been great, keep them coming! Quote
Smack Posted June 9, 2010 Posted June 9, 2010 I think this magnet pack shows that there is a possibility that there could be a Aalya Secura/Cad Bane pack in the future, which would be a much more affordable way to get those figs as opposed to a much more expensive set. Good looking out by Lego in these hard economic times IMO. Quote
BrickClick Posted June 9, 2010 Posted June 9, 2010 I'm loving the new magnet pack! Though I wish they could have given us a normal phase II trooper instead of Jag. I'll probably get this and sell Jag on Ebay. Does anyone no how much he goes for on Ebay? Quote
whung Posted June 9, 2010 Posted June 9, 2010 Box photos of 8099, 8128 and 10212 were found! (But a bit small) 8099 Midi-scale Imperial Star Destroyer Not much attractive, scale similar to 7778. 8129 AT-AT Walker It is Limited Edition 10212 Quote
BrickClick Posted June 9, 2010 Posted June 9, 2010 Thank you SOOOOO much Whung! Finaly some pics of the shuttle it looks good, and I'll probably get it! I'm not a big fan of the midi scale SD though, so I'll skip this one. Thanks again! Quote
Penitent Tangent Posted June 9, 2010 Posted June 9, 2010 I really like the midi sets, the Falcon looks great on my desk and I'll likely get that Star Destroyer too. But without wanting to start a price rant, I felt £30 was a bit too much for the it, and if this one is even more expensive I'll likely do without it. The landing craft is mighty impressive too, looks far better than I imagined! Quote
General Magma Posted June 9, 2010 Posted June 9, 2010 (edited) Oh my.. That shuttle is amazing! It's far better than I expected, it is truly a must-have for me now! Sadly I may not be able to get it this year, but next year.. I won't be getting the AT-AT and the ISD, though. I am not a fan of the midi-scale and, unless I can mod it so it's much bigger, the AT-AT is way too small. But the shuttle makes up for that, I'm glad TLC has done such a good job on it! Thanks for the pics, hopefully we'll be able to see bigger ones very soon! ~ General Magma Edited June 9, 2010 by General Magma Quote
ZO6 Posted June 9, 2010 Posted June 9, 2010 I just woke up 10 minutes ago, and what a lovely surprise to find these pictures posted. Thank you very much whung! The midi-scale ISD isn't the most attractive looking thing ever made, and I doubt the price would be much less than the Falcon (same price?), so I'll probably pass on it. It looks to be around 30 studs long, so it would certainly make a neat little companion to my UCS version of the ship should I get the urge to pick it up. I missed out on the original AT-AT, and I was a bit underwhelmed with the shape of the motorized version, so I imagine I'll be grabbing this newest one when it becomes available. I feel the model is lacking in a few places, but overall I'll be happy enough to be able to finally add that walker to my collection. The Shuttle on the other hand, I am extremely pleased with, and I no longer have any doubts about it being a must-have. The shape and colour looks wonderful, and the inclusion of the minifigs makes it even more desirable. The ship doesn't appear to be to scale with the figs, but the little guys should be able to fit inside comfortably enough. That Shuttle sure is a beauty! Quote
RoryoCox Posted June 9, 2010 Posted June 9, 2010 Thank You for the Pictures I don't care for the first two but that shuttle is something else. Really nice front nose and I actually mistaken it for a CGI when I first saw it. Shuttle is a must get. Quote
Darth Lion Posted June 9, 2010 Posted June 9, 2010 (edited) MUST ... GET ... THAT .... SHUTTLE.... JUST WOW! This shuttle is EPIC - looks just like one of those awesome UCS MOCs. But ... why does the AT-AT contain a C-3PO figure ... BTW thanks a lot for those pics! Edited June 9, 2010 by Darth Lion Quote
BrickClick Posted June 9, 2010 Posted June 9, 2010 What is the piece at the front most part of the shuttle cockpit? A new peice? My brain may just be rusty so will someone please clear this up for me? Quote
CF Mitch Posted June 9, 2010 Posted June 9, 2010 WOW!! Thanks so much for the pictures, whung That shuttle is awesome And it's huge too. Check out the wings and that dorsal fin The body itself doesn't seem too big though. Now I'll wait for the pricing, I hope it's not too much I want it, I want it, I want it Oh and let's hope other pictures of this (and the other) sets arrive too Regards, CF W Quote
Darth Lion Posted June 9, 2010 Posted June 9, 2010 What is the piece at the front most part of the shuttle cockpit?A new peice? My brain may just be rusty so will someone please clear this up for me? Dunno, seems like the whole cockpit is ONE brick ... Quote
ZO6 Posted June 9, 2010 Posted June 9, 2010 The more I look at the picture of the Shuttle, the more I realize how big it actually is. The shuttle looks to be about the same size as the one done by cavegod here. That would mean that much of the nose of the ship is made up of these . I suspect the reason that the nose looks like one piece in the picture is simply because it's a low res pic and it is difficult to make out many of the details. Quote
Big Brick Posted June 9, 2010 Posted June 9, 2010 (edited) Dunno, seems like the whole cockpit is ONE brick ... Personally, I think they've used SNOT... In any case the cockpit-window seems to be SNOTted. greets, -Big Brick Edited June 9, 2010 by Big Brick Quote
eastpole Posted June 9, 2010 Posted June 9, 2010 What is the piece at the front most part of the shuttle cockpit?A new peice? My brain may just be rusty so will someone please clear this up for me? I guess the cockpit windscreen is this one http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=6267 and the nose is probably a variety of slopes. I am really excited about this set and have been waiting for ages for TLC to make this into a UCS Set Quote
General Magma Posted June 9, 2010 Posted June 9, 2010 (edited) Dunno, seems like the whole cockpit is ONE brick ... Trust me, it is not. Now the more I look at it, I realized it must be very big. It must be even enormous, with so many pieces. The size may be around the size of the one made by cavegod, I may hope I won't have trouble displaying it by then. But it would be my largest set, so it'll deserve a good place. It´s EPIC, and it now tops my list above the Slave I. Looking forward to be seeing better pics of it, to be able to judge it completely. ~ General Magma Edited June 9, 2010 by General Magma Quote
Darth Lion Posted June 9, 2010 Posted June 9, 2010 (edited) Trust me, it is not. I know it just SEEMS like - we definately need a higher resolution. Edited June 9, 2010 by Darth Lion Quote
Anio Posted June 9, 2010 Posted June 9, 2010 (edited) Thanks for the great pics ! :) The shuttle is awesome. The designers did a good job, sure. But it seems there is no foot to make it stand well, nor display card. So it is not UCS. When I see the model in the upper right hand corner of the photo, I wonder if I'm right or not. Time will tell. edit : why is it a Clone War box ? Edited June 9, 2010 by Anio Quote

Yes, there does almost seem to be a stand so that you can properly display the model even when the wings are lowered. I doubt there will be any info card like in previous UCS models though. The Clone Wars box is being used for basically all the SW sets for the second half of this year, regardless of which episode the set if for. Quote
