Legoman Posted June 10, 2010 Posted June 10, 2010 My goodness... That shuttle is a dream come true!!! Thats quite astonishing, I can't wait until it's released. The star destroyer is a heap of junk, and the AT-AT ain't much better, but the shuttle is a must buy! That price seems high, but for 2503 peices, Including 5 figs, it's about right these days, and It's not like I'll be paying full price anyway I'm really looking forward to it. Unfortunately, I think I may just pass those other sets though, they're both quite dissapointing. Thanks heaps for the pic's Whung! Quote
Hewman Posted June 10, 2010 Posted June 10, 2010 Thanks for the pics Whung. Unlike most others I don't mind the look of the ISD, and it's one way to make this set affordable while still having way more play potential than mini sets do. As for the shuttle I think it looks great and I can't see any other options to have the cockpit piece (at least for the top) as one big piece. However, the scale of it just means that it won't fit in with any of my other SW lego as I don't collect UCS sets, so play value is minimal and it's not really as stylish a ship as say the MF, or any of the TIEs they made into UCS sets so it isn't one I'd want to just display on its own. The AT-AT looks perfectly acceptable and I'm sure it will sell well to those without an AT-AT but like many have said it is strange to be released what I assume will be immediately after the power functions set and around the same price mark. Anyway, I have the PF so I'll pass on this one as well. Quote
RileyC Posted June 10, 2010 Posted June 10, 2010 Thanks Whung for the pics! The midi ISD looks pretty good compared to the midi MF and seems to be a good scale. The AT AT looks great and definitely a must for me. The AT AT looks great by itself and then the great selection of minifigs tops it off. Han will be amazing and its cool that they have added a few minifigs from the battle packs and I just hope you can get two drivers into the cockpit. Another plus is that I will be getting my second C3PO in just one year! The shuttle, while it looks fantastic, I cant help but think that maybe its just too big. Sure the detail looks great and its going to be huge and against the MF, I dont think its going to look good. I think I will pass on this one. Quote
dartmar Posted June 10, 2010 Posted June 10, 2010 I already have an AT-AT so I don't want that one. The shuttle look great and I think I will get it. The Stardestroyer is dissapointing for me. I wish they could make a superstardestroyer. I would love all that black and grey lego's. I have the big stardestroyer and it is a bit of let down. It keeps falling apart. So I broke it down and I am still pondering what to do with it. Quote
dunamis Posted June 10, 2010 Posted June 10, 2010 Wow, thanks for the pics. The Shuttle looks amazing! Can't wait to build it. Quote
Ras 74 Posted June 10, 2010 Posted June 10, 2010 Thanks for the pics Whung! It is great to finally see some pictures of the upcoming sets. The Shuttle really looks great. Very big, and very great. I want to make a better judgement when we get higher resolutions of this ship and maybe a review of this madly big one. Quote
marshal_banana Posted June 10, 2010 Posted June 10, 2010 Hm it looks really quiet similar to the fantastic MOC of Dmac! I'm looking forward to bigger pictures. Cheers! Quote
Delta 38 Posted June 10, 2010 Posted June 10, 2010 Uh oh. Just noticed the parts count for the shuttle, 2503 pieces. This is identical to what's on the first page. I've also just noticed the scale of this, the shuttle is huge! Or at least, for my standards. I'm now going to focus on that AT-AT. If it's 815 pieces, then it's probably going to be very expensive, but I'll see once it comes out here... Quote
Blondie-Wan Posted June 10, 2010 Posted June 10, 2010 Wow, the shuttle is indeed amazing. I'd say it almost looks too accurate - like it's getting away from the stylized look one associates with minifigs. I think I'll learn to live with it, though. ;) But I do think I might have actually preferred a smaller, more stylized ship, if only so I could better afford it... Quote
DutchRebel Posted June 10, 2010 Posted June 10, 2010 Oh thanks Whung, you made my day. But an even bigger thanks to Lego and her designers, just gotta love that Shuttle. My life is complete Can't wait to open the box and start building... Quote
Praiter Yed Posted June 10, 2010 Posted June 10, 2010 It's looking like an expensive year for me now! Got to get the new Slave I & Wampa Cave and now I have to have the AT-AT & Imperial Shuttle. Looks like a good selection of figures with these too. Despite the overall awesome-ness am I the only person who thinks the shuttle should be grey? Quote
fenris Posted June 10, 2010 Posted June 10, 2010 No, me too. Never quite understood the Choice of colours. Same with Blue tie-figthers... Quote
Praiter Yed Posted June 10, 2010 Posted June 10, 2010 No, me too. Never quite understood the Choice of colours. Same with Blue tie-figthers... Don't get me started on blue Tie-Fighters http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/style_emot...fault_angry.gif Although I did read that Tie Fighters were originally designed with blue elements which ended up getting lost during blue-screen filming. Sorry to go off subject, I'll use being a newbie as an excuse. Does this mean TLG will discontinue the motorised AT-AT in August? I still want to buy one for when my son is old enough to play with it (that's my excuse anyway). Quote
LoRd AmUnRa Posted June 10, 2010 Posted June 10, 2010 Hi, The shuttle is relay just a win, I relay like the howl fuselage and it is relay a beauty in white! in grey it wouldn’t be took to majestic ^^ But! The wings looks on this picture like they don’t have the right angle, I hope it is only of the angle from the picture but it they should me more downward and not like the system scale version, hope the picture help Quote
General Magma Posted June 10, 2010 Posted June 10, 2010 But! The wings looks on this picture like they don’t have the right angle, I hope it is only of the angle from the picture but it they should me more downward and not like the system scale version, hope the picture help *pic* The shuttle's wings on the pic go as far as they can when on the ground. Maybe they can move down further, but.. I wouldn't count on it. It's not really necessary, as the shuttle itself is amazing already. For those who are complaining about the price, don't. At a piece count of 2503, the $250 pricing is perfect for me. This time, TLC actually made it 10 cents a piece, unlike many, many other overpriced sets. And be honest, it's really worth it for such an amazing set, isn't it? There are very few sets with this amount of accuracy, detail and awesomeness in one. ~ General Magma Quote
The Legonater Posted June 10, 2010 Posted June 10, 2010 Thanks whung for the pics! It's nice to finally see these much-anticipated sets, though I don't see myself getting any of these three (not a fan of midi-scaled sets and large expensive sets). Can't wait to see hi-res pics of these soon. Get used to it, 80% of SW sets are large expensive sets . Quote
Minxter Posted June 10, 2010 Posted June 10, 2010 Thanks for the pictures Whung! I won´t buy the AT-AT as i got the motorized one and I think it´s better then the new one. The ISD is okay I guess but I won´tbuy it unless it´s on sale. And for the shuttle Wow great job Lego but I´m not sure I got the money for it . Minxter Quote

Beside, whether it be in comics or videogames, it's always been represented in white. I can understand you wondering why the blue in the various ties or the white in the last versions of the X-wing but in this case, I'd say it's pretty spot on Quote

Raphy Posted June 10, 2010 Posted June 10, 2010 Hehe, I'd totally get the shuttle, but I can't even afford the Midi-scaled Star Destroyer... ;P Quote
gotoAndLego Posted June 10, 2010 Posted June 10, 2010 (edited) I've heard of BURP and LURP, but what is a BPP? Big Piece of Plastic. Hopefully Slave I will get a larger set treatment I would LOOOOOVVVVEEEE a UCS Slave 1. Edited June 10, 2010 by gotoAndLego Quote
The Legonater Posted June 10, 2010 Posted June 10, 2010 "There Are no instructions"??Come on man! Stop lying! In his gallery you can find file: sh-sitting.mpd and folder: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=102349 It's enough to build that awsome shuttle. He invented and bulit first, and you copied! Why there are differences between your and his - i think that you don't have enough parts. It's Dmac Shuttle, you just modify it. Look- drop it. This argument is pointless, and one or both of you is probably gonna get in trouble- maybe even the Isolation Chamber. Niether of you want that. So stop this stupid fight and get back on topic. Quote
gotoAndLego Posted June 10, 2010 Posted June 10, 2010 And I don't see whats wrong with borrowing techniques and basing your MOC off someone elses. I agree because when you get right down to it, we're all borrowing techniques from TLG. Quote
The Legonater Posted June 10, 2010 Posted June 10, 2010 End Off-Topic, if you want to disscus - Private Message welcome :) Thank you. That was getting annoying. Quote
