Whoa... that thing is monstrous! I bet you could practically park the old imperial shuttle just in its cargo hold!

And, I could be wrong, but isn't that the same windshield as the City Corner bus-- and is that entire cockpit build studs upside down??

Hmmm. It's alright, after hearing they were doing a UCS Imperial Shuttle I thought I would HAVE to buy it but after seeing it I am not sure, especially with that price tag, it should be 180 tops!!!!!! I have a huge imperial shuttle collection. The 1984 Kenner Imperial Shuttle, The Target Exclusive Shuttle, 7264, 4494 and a huge Imperial Shuttle poster right behind my collection. My problem with the new set are the wings, I wish they could be able to tilt inwards like they do in the real ship. Other than that it looks am much like an Imperial Shuttle as my real ones.

I hate to say it, but this is the first Lego set that is just a copy of a very good MOC.

It's DMAC's shuttle, already copied by cavegod:

I just hope TLG bought the construction from DMAC, otherwise it would be really a shame :hmpf_bad:

There are enough people stealing MOCs on EB and Flickr already, I do hope TLG won't join them. :cry_sad:

Good lord. :oh:

This set looks simply fantastic. It's just so sharp and sleek! I really can't wait for this beaut to come out.

I wonder if the rear cabin will have an interior of any sorts?

Wow, what a beauty! These new high res. pics certainly put those earlier ones to shame.

The shuttle is absolutely stunning, I'm practically speechless. It's far more than I could have hoped for. I'm extremely happy to see the large stand and display card. Can clearly see that two minifigures can comfortably sit in the cockpit, so it will be interesting to see how much room there is for more.

September can't arrive soon enough!

Wait... What's with all the Techic?

It's been there all along

I wonder how much the new shuttle will cost. It looks so nice.

260 USD / 260 GBP as info'ed in the first post allready

Slow down please.

This discussion is getting tedious.

And how would you know that TLG "stole" this design?

They do look alike. Now I'm wondering if this is just another moc with just a really good box art? Then again if it is a real set it's gone a be on my wish list.

Well, I have to agree, it's very, very similar. It might be that there is only one way to build a shuttle like this, but I'll be damned if the SW designers at TLG at lest didn't look at this when they did their version.

Shuttle looks amazing. I'll definitely have to find the money for this one. Hope it gets a display at Comic Con.

Am I the only one who's really curious as to what it looks like from the back? And whether or not there's an interior besides the cockpit?

WTF This thing has 2500 pieces and the price tag is $260. That is one of the best values we have ever had. If you don't like the design fine, but don't hate it because of the price, that's absurd.

Without an interior...hmm, for some reason that really diminishes it

2500 bricks and £260 and it wasn't possible to have size, accuracy abd playability?

Feel like I'm just paying for an expensive airfix kit...

I'd think that the cabin is just Technic and the landing gear mechanism, but it wouldn't be hard to fit 4 seats into the cockpit.

This set keeps on getting better and better based on the pictures! For me this set is the crown jewel of LEGO SW 2010.

It looks like there is only room for two figures in the cockpit since it looks like the top header above the windshield is too deep to fit additional figures and it looks like it would be a tight fit to accommodate more figures due to the length of the cockpit beyond the header. I am okay with this as the shuttle is amazing nonetheless.

I wonder if there is a rear facing cannon (my gut tells me yes based on the other details). It appears that there might be a boarding ramp based on one of the pictures from gizmodo (http://gizmodo.com/5565333/the-new-gigantic-lego-imperial-shuttle), although there doesn't appear to be much head clearance beneath the nose of the shuttle for figures to 'walk' up and down the ramp. It doesn't look like the main hull has an interior, unless there is a removeable access at the rear of the shuttle.

IMO the only similarity is the cockpit and overall size. Any larger or smaller wouldn't be UCS, and there are limited ways to make ships you know. Just be happy it isn't stickerfied.

The engine greebles add much more finess than the MOCs without them. Great pictures too, but we need some more of the back!

ooohh maaaaan, this is beyond all my expectations! Thanx Lego! I'd never thought they would make something this accurate and detailed. Now let's pray it's not fake ;-)
