Xwingyoda said it! I never talked to that guy much, but if he says it, I believe it! A new AT-AT, and just when I need it! Perfect for my Hoth Diorama, and without PF it will be cheaper!

I think that's pretty realistic, although another just came out, since it is Xwingyoda... I have to believe it!

But if this information is right I could well imagine that we'll see the AT-AT as an Exclusive after Toy Fair 2010. Since it has to include something new (otherwise there would be too many people which would pass this one) I bet that it'll be 150-250 Euro and will include not only a bigger version of the AT-AT but even a Snowspeeder (to attack the AT-AT) (plus of course two Snowtroopers, General Veers (this time hopefully with a right torso!), AT-AT Driver, Luke Skywalker and Dack Ralter). Perhaps there'll be even some additional stuff (like e. g. a big gun or a small room of the Rebel Base (e. g. medical room)) and/or an additional exclusive minifig (e. g. Major Bren Darlin or injured Luke) included.

I certainly hope there won't be a snowspeeder because

a.There's already been three

b.It should be a seperate set

c.It could raise the set up 10 to 20 dollars.

I personally think* that it will be somewhat bigger then the first one/second one. I hope it has two floors, a way to get from the cockpit to the rest of the ship, and slightly bigger cockpit (to fit two pilots). I actually think that this set might turn out to be like the AT-OT and Republic Drop-Ship. It will probably be bigger then the first two and come with a bunch of mini-figures (4 snowtroopers, 2 AT-AT pilots, General Veers, 2 Rebel troopers, dish turret)

*okay hope

I'd say it'd be more like the newest Falcon: UCS but with minifigs. Sorry if this idea has been brought up already. I don't plan to get it, so I'm not reading every post.

To me, 'minifig-scale' seems to suggest either System or the one I mentioned above. I think it'll be much bigger and far more detailed, but have an interior to some extent, and a few figs. It may only include one pilot, but have space for two, in order to get you to buy the new BP.

Minifig scaled? Does that mean it's going to be smaller?

Seriously, though, "minifig scale", in the LSW world, is about 20x smaller than what it "really" is. My hopes aren't too high for this one.

It should actually mean it's at least 1.5 to 1.7 feet tall and 1.3 to 1.5 feet long. So it's pretty big compared to previous models, If it's true.

Don't get me wrong pedro the second AT-AT is not a bad set (i do own it :classic: ) but it was not in the same league as 4483 original.

Oh and walk it does not!

It drags itself across the floor like a dying animal

Maybe you just left some pieces out  Mine strides across the floor, crushing it's enemies, guns blazing and... ok it doesn't! You do need a little leap of the imagination  4483 is a more accurate set though a bit flimsy - only 'coz I've had to move it a couple of times and the damn heads fallen off every time! I reckon LEGO could pull out all the stops on this next one.

And three turrets of sorts too! Really, really don't need another. Not when they'd be so easy to MOC too basing one on an official version.

I'd say it'd be more like the newest Falcon: UCS but with minifigs...

Aye I'd suggested that ADHO, a cockpit with room for 3 would be awesome for starters (not for you I guess!) :sweet:

I hope this set is like 10179 (true minifig scale). It would make an excellent "flagship model" for next year, and be a great source for figures. Some may think its unlikely that TLC will release it in true minifig scale, because of the enormous size, but before the 10179 came out, something like that was unheard of. This can be done properly with 3-4000 pieces, I think, and would be 350 - 400 dollars US. It could happen.

I would definitely prefer the more affordable scale. I really don't want anything the the MF, I'd never be able to get my hands on it. I had to reach out to get the AT-OT and Dropship and the ISD as it is. If it's $250-300 it would be absolutely perfect! Maybe come with one of those Snow Speederbikes like in the old AT-AT and the new Hoth BP's comnig out. I'm sure it will be much bigger, and it'll have something like... General Veers, 2 AT-AT Pilots, two Snowies....

I don't really know about the enemy factor. It could go anywhere from a little Luke dangling on a piece of string to a dish turret and all the way to a Snow Speeder! Not likely though, I'd like it.

But before we stray way to far off the horizon, remember this is only a rumor, we only have one single source! Sure Xwingyoda is reliable, but usually when we get these things a whole flow of info from a dozen sources comes in at once. Hey, maybe he's fooling with us for EB demoting him. Or at least I think that's what hapenned, I wasn't around here yet.

I trust xwingyoda. I'm sure we'll be seeing an AT-AT in the future.

Another AT-AT? And it's not even motorized? :sceptic: The last one is still available, plus it's motorized. How are they going to top that? Oh well, I probably wont buy it anyway.

Nl offense, but I thought the last one...Well,the proportions were off, and it had a lot of technic. In my opinion not nearly as good as the original.

Do these sets sound familliar? This is from March '08 in this topic and all these ideas were made into sets. Weird or did someone acorporated with Lego see this topic, said it was a good idea and baboom we got them? Most of these sets are in the 2009 line up and the battlepacks are next year's battle packs. Okay maybe the mini-figure's are off but the sets themselves are there. If you are confused here it is in short. Topic from March '08 with ideas for sets. Year later in 2009 and 2010 , the ideas are actually made into sets.

Wow, these were accurate... :cry_happy:

Maybe TLC got these ideas reading EB forum, I wouldnt be surprised.

As for the AT-AT; Hope the rumours are true.

The 4483 was more realistic than the motorized version and deserves an improved remake.

No fuzz with snowspeeders etc just the AT-AT and lots of minifigures to keep the set affordable for the wider audience.

Whoa, I wasn't a member back then so I had no idea.

That's crazy, I wonder if a ELGO person did see this thread. That brings me alot of hope. I can't wait to see how close we are next time.

Don't understand me wrong, Forresto, I personally don't need a second Snowspeeder, too!

But you have not only to think of our point of view but even from TLG's point of view: There has always to be something new included in a re-designed version - otherwise at least those people which already own the former version(s) won't buy it.

The last version of the AT-AT (which is still available on S@H) included two elements the first version didn't have: a wrong General Veers minifigure and a PF motor.

So if we got a new AT-AT next year it has to - and I bet it surely will - include some new elements, too. New and exclusive minifigs are always welcome. But which could be included in this set (apart from a right torso for General Veers)?! Apart from that new minifigs aren't everything - there has to be something other new included, too. But the new speederbike is already included in the Snowtroopers BP. So?! The only content which would be really new and surely be very interesting for all of us would be - like already mentioned - an additional room for the Hoth Rebel Base and the big round ion turret. And a Snowspeeder would add a lot of playability for kids to this set (plus the last Snowspeeder was released in 2005!) - so I do not hope and do not want but I could well imagine that TLG will include a new Snowspeeder.

Some interior and a cockpit that really fits three minifigs (two AT-AT Drivers and General Veers behind them) would of course be great!

But I regrettably don't see this happen - at least not the interior. What should TLG include there? Ok, a floor and a gate would be a start. But what then?! Perhaps again some seats like in the first version?! :hmpf: e. g. an engine room doesn't sound very interesting, too.

Nope, the last Snowspeeder was in 7666 in 2007. It was a good one. However, if, as someone already said, they included a mini-ish snowspeeder towards the size of Vader's Tie in the Death Star, that would be cool and new, and still make for some great playability.

Thanks for correcting that, Clone O'Patra! :classic:

Of course the last version was included in the Hoth Rebel Base - I should know since I own it!

Nevertheless in next spring it's about 2,5-3 years ago that the last version appeared - so for TLG a really not too short time when regarding how often some of the well-known vehicles are re-designed.

I'd say it'd be more like the newest Falcon: UCS but with minifigs. Sorry if this idea has been brought up already. I don't plan to get it, so I'm not reading every post.

You mean the UCS Millenium Falcon from 2007, don't you, ADHO 15?

I really hope that we'll never get again such a totally overprized and totally useless UCS set (apart from that UCS sets and midi- and mini-scaled sets are imo all totally useless - but that's a different subject)!

If the AT-AT will be like the UCS Millenium Falcon I will surely not buy it - firstly because it would (like the UCS MF, too) not include any interior, secondly because it would be much too huge, thirdly because I surely won't have the money to buy it and fourthly since even if I had the money I would not spend such much money on such a useless set!

I really hope that the new AT-AT will be minifig-scaled and be about the size of the two last versions. And I even bet that it'll be: Since there are so many Hoth sets this and next year (Echo Base, Snowtroopers BP, Rebel Troopers BP and Wampa Attack) a minfig-scaled AT-AT would make the most sense and fit the best since you could easily add it to all the other Hoth sets and create a whole (Battle of) Hoth diorama!

The thing i found intresting after doing some research, is that if it were to be scaled to minifigs, it would only be a few bricks higher than the original. In the movies, it wasn't really that huge. Yes, it's quite big, but it just looked huge because it was so menacing. It was only 15.5 meters tall....

But i'm kinda over remakes, i've got enough AT-AT's! And if i got more, i would want then to match, not be bigger and look different.

Shhh! Don't tell TLG that! Really though, we at least need plenty of room to 'move around' in there, so it really should be more than a few bricks taller.

For me it would be good enough if TLC made it in the size that I started off in once.

Slightly bigger, a head that I still havent managed to do, and a bit better legs. The legs I did was as from the first AT-AT, just slightly longer

(I will sonn finnich mine :hmpf: ).

Alot of mini-figs, no extra ships or turrents is really needed.

So want to see pics of this :D

I actually prefer that. I simply don't have enough room to display anything bigger than an X or Y-Wing. A smaller AT-AT? Definite purchase.

So the rumored AT-AT actually is a Midi-Scale? What a dissapointment...

MF scale has nothing to do with the Millenium Falcon! Ugh! Try MINIFIG SCALE!

EDIT: Wait, Rockinkurt, you said it. Oh that sucks, because if you say it you're right, because you're the inside man. But does that mean you've seen the AT-AT?

I just found the next information from Brickhorizon:

"Ok so here is the big news I got talking to a Lego rep at TRU:

* A new MF scale AT-AT !! Ok I'm really super happy about that

* CW CTT: man that rocks"

It was posted by member xwingyoda who is in my opinion a really reliable source  . If the new AT-AT is a true minifig scale than it is going to be a MUST BUY from me  , it has been the dream of each AFOL since the line begun so this are really good news. Also he pointed out that the new AT-AT is NOT the motorized one.

darkrebellion, could you please give us a link where you found that quote? Because I went through their 2010 Star Wars discussion topic but couldn't find it. Thanks.
