Derek Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 All these words that start with "m" are getting confusing! Mini scale! Midi scale! Minifigure scale! MF! Millennium Falcon! Although I wouldn't buy it, I would love to see how Lego would handle a minfigure scaled AT-AT. Hopefully it would have an interior, unlike the Millennium Falcon. Quote
Clone OPatra Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 darkrebellion, could you please give us a link where you found that quote? Because I went through their 2010 Star Wars discussion topic but couldn't find it. Thanks. Here's the link. I've read the entire discussion over on Brickhorizon, and nowhere does it mention that this At-At will be midi-scaled. You should all read it yourself to know exactly what is said, but in brief xwingyoda says that the LEGO rep he talked to did not know much about Star Wars in general, and that xwingyoda guesses that this At-At will be larger than the last one, but that's hopes more than any factual information. Quote
Oky Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 Thanks, Clone O'Patra. Too bad. I was getting my hopes up for a midi-scale AT-AT. I would much prefer that over yet another minifig scale one. Quote
Clone OPatra Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 Well, I wouldn't let my hopes up or down right now. As far as another AT-AT is concerned, we really know absolutely nothing. I completely believe that xwingyoda is not making anything up, but could it be that the LEGO rep he talked to mistook a different gray, walker type set for the AT-AT that xwingyoda asked about? I would say that's probably not the case, but it's impossible to tell. We do know that the other set (CTT) that xwingyoda mentioned was already on rumor lists, so this rep did know what he was talking about. Since that set is true, it's most likely that the AT-AT is for real too, but we can't tell in what size. Quote
Commander Flash Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 Midi or Minifig Scale is fine. If it's Midi, that means another addition to the "midi" theme, but a minifig scale would be great for a collector. A win-win situation it seems Quote
Future74 Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 For me it would be good enough if TLC made it in the size that I started off in once.Slightly bigger, a head that I still havent managed to do, and a bit better legs. The legs I did was as from the first AT-AT, just slightly longer (I will sonn finnich mine ). Alot of mini-figs, no extra ships or turrents is really needed. So want to see pics of this :D Yes, that would be a great size! Off topic: any progress made? But if the AT-AT would have the same size as 4483 but better designed (for instance the loose "head") that would make me happy enough. Midi or Minifig Scale is fine. If it's Midi, that means another addition to the "midi" theme, but a minifig scale would be great for a collector. A win-win situation it seems Not for me, midi scale would definitly put me off I still think the market is bigger for minifig scale than for midi scale. So my hopes are on minifig scale. Quote
CloneCommanderDelta7 Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 Cool another AT-AT, yet the cost (I know, a mini-rant) could be a bit much. Thinking back to the Venator... Quote
KimT Posted September 17, 2009 Author Posted September 17, 2009 Wow, the idea of getting an AT-AT and perhaps even CTT as midiscale really turns me on I guess we'll have to wait for those prelims that's bound to show up on the internet. Quote
yellost Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 (edited) Man, I'd love to see a midi scale ATAT... Especially considering the great work they did on the Millenium Falcon. And then, that would also mean they'd start some kind of Midi-Scale line and we might see that Malevolence model we saw in the "Search for R2 D2" animation... **wishful thinking : ON** Edited September 17, 2009 by yellost Quote
Big Cam Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 Count my vote for the hopefuls. The $129.99 AT-AT was too expensive for me. A midiscale one would be excellent. On the other hand a larger version might make it worth buying. hmmmm Quote

Thank you very much for the link and the short summary of the whole discusssion, Clone O'Patra! Perhaps even the rep meant the CTT since it looks in some way a bit - but really only a bit - similar to the AT-AT (grey, white minifigs, etc. if the rep does not know much about SW he perhaps even doesn't know the difference between those two vehicles). I know this sounds a bit strange and I really hope that the information is right. But it's firstly that early that imo the best thing is to wait before being that lucky about this set and then it turns out to be only the CTT or an AT-AT but not minifig-scaled. Klaus-Dieter Quote
SWMAN Posted September 18, 2009 Posted September 18, 2009 I would not be surprised if the AT-AT was Mid-Scale. I really like what lego did with the Falcon and I have a feeling they are going to continue making some of the bigger Star Wars vehicles Mid-Scale. Quote
Bricklanta Posted September 18, 2009 Posted September 18, 2009 I'm glad Lego decided to include Kit Fisto in the Arc-170 Starfighter, I missed out on him last time . Quote
KimT Posted September 18, 2009 Author Posted September 18, 2009 So the CTT will be Clone Wars and the AT-AT might be midi-scale? Quote
Shompis Posted September 18, 2009 Posted September 18, 2009 I would personally want a mini figure sized AT-AT. I don't have any of the other ones, and to be honest, the new motorized one is expensive and it looks so fragile skinny. Quote
Millacol88 Posted September 18, 2009 Posted September 18, 2009 So the CTT will be Clone Wars and the AT-AT might be midi-scale? I don't think we've gotten any confirmation that the AT-AT is minifig scale, unless I've missed something. Although, I could only afford it if it's midi-scale. Quote
Forresto Posted September 18, 2009 Posted September 18, 2009 I don't think we've gotten any confirmation that the AT-AT is minifig scale, unless I've missed something. Although, I could only afford it if it's midi-scale. I did'nt know we got cofirmation on the AT-AT being a set what so ever. The person from lego did'nt sound too sure to me if it was the AT-At or CTT. To get back to the first wave of prelim photos, i'm really hoping that the feather's on the Talz are renovable because if you saw that episode of the Clone Wars, it's the Talz chieften they made into lego. Refrence picture and lego's talz Quote
Future74 Posted September 18, 2009 Posted September 18, 2009 Refrence picture and lego's talz The lego pictures of next years sets are still classified, so my guess is that counts aswell for a part of it and it should not be posted. Cant find a reference picture of the CTT (the original) either. Anyone? Does this news come from the same source, xwingyoda? Quote
mutley777 Posted September 18, 2009 Posted September 18, 2009 So the CTT will be Clone Wars and the AT-AT might be midi-scale? Ok now i was chating to Xwingyoda on MSN the night he had seen the lego rep. He told me both of these sets were minifig sets. Not UCS but here is hoping and in no way midi-scale!! Quote
KimT Posted September 18, 2009 Author Posted September 18, 2009 Thanks Mutt. [fingers crossed] AT-AT and CTT... what a year Quote
simonjedi Posted September 18, 2009 Posted September 18, 2009 I've just seen the preliminary pics (!) so a few of my thoughts: I don't like the front cannon thing on the droid trifighter, it doesn't fit the blue colour scheme, The Arc looks pretty cool, never managed to get one in 05 and i love the Tie defender. Surprised about the lack of tauntaun in the REbel battlepack. Quote
Darth Legolas Posted September 18, 2009 Posted September 18, 2009 Ok now i was chating to Xwingyoda on MSN the night he had seen the lego rep. He told me both of these sets were minifig sets. Not UCS but here is hoping and in no way midi-scale!! Yes! Yes! Rockinkurt, why did you say that? Why did you lie? Wait, that means, I was right! I was totally right... Sorry... Now we can get back to discussing the minifigs in the AT-AT. Now that Yoda has spoken, and we were all right about MF being minifig scale (millenium falcon scale did sound wrong to me ,) let's start the speculation! -2 AT-AT pilots. -General Veers, and, although it's really Klaus-Dieter's job to be picky about it, a correct torso! -Mini snowspeeder to battle? -Little Lukey! And, well, that's about it. Maybe a speederbike. Quote
-JD- Posted September 18, 2009 Posted September 18, 2009 This new rumour for an AT-AT sounds fascinating. Two AT-ATs in two years?! That is great IMO! Generally I agree with the figures simonjedi suggested, but I would think there would be a few Snowies. Maybe five or six, which sounds good for a Minifigure Scale version. However, this would be VERY expensive. Quote
rockinkurt13 Posted September 18, 2009 Posted September 18, 2009 Yes! Yes! Rockinkurt, why did you say that? Why did you lie? Wait, that means, I was right! I was totally right... what makes it so you can believe him? seriously, maybe someone hacked his account, many things coulda happened Quote
