General Magma Posted September 24, 2009 Posted September 24, 2009 posades, Big Cam, ya, but it's only prelim pics. Maybe this set really including a new C-3PO?) I don't think so, the newest version of him is only a year old (I got it with the Sandcrawler set but was firstly introduced in the DS playset) and what other color could they add? The most recent one is good enough, this will never happen but I wish they turned 3PO to chrome gold in every set that includes the droid... I am looking forward to better pics of all sets (landspeeder, etc.) ~General Magma Quote
CaptainRex110 Posted September 24, 2009 Posted September 24, 2009 Guys, what you think about "new C-3PO colour" in a Landspeeder?) I wrote that article. It just means that it's the 2008 DS color or whatever the most recent, darker color is). But thank you for pointing that out, I need to make that clearer. Quote

But thank you for pointing that out, I need to make that clearer. Just make it say "newer," or darker with light pearl gold hands. I appreciate you not putting Garindan in there. Quote

Forresto Posted September 25, 2009 Posted September 25, 2009 Yeah, I truly don't believe that, but I wasn't going to let that be put on there anyway. I locked the page. Curse you naysayers but seriously, did you have to lock the page. I mean I can only speak for myself but it's not like it'a a big thing that i'm going to start some sort of "wikiwar" . To get back on topic though looking at pics of the landspeeder, it deffinantly looks like a genuine set because I know some people have been saying it looks like it's from the video game. Quote
CloneCommanderDelta7 Posted September 25, 2009 Posted September 25, 2009 Why would you need a different coloured C-3PO? I thought the original was OK and I don't even have one. Quote
pedro Posted September 25, 2009 Posted September 25, 2009 (edited) Thanks for the new pictures! The Tri Fighter is almost identical to the last one... Indeed, I've been firmly stood on the side of the fence that believes it's too similar and already own the original... however upon seeing this new image I've noticed it has a lot of really cool parts which may actually make it a worthwhile purchse. I might have to see if I can get it afterall! Only when it's cheap though... I like how it looks, and it will probably make for a great TIE Defender pilot helmet as well. I don't understand. Compare these two... Aside from the blurriness and the cheap plastic, the new helmet is IDENTICAL two the real one. It's perfect! /agree The new helmet is spot-on. The detailing and printing are wonderfully accurate. By their very nature the helmets on minifigs always look big and this isn't a bad thing, it adds to their character. Besides, the AT-AT Driver helmet looks big even on a person! Anyone notice the reflection of a cowled figure in the spherical hull of the Tri-fighter? Could it be... Garindan?! Wout Posted September 25, 2009 Posted September 25, 2009 I was by my local Lego dealer and I could take a look in the dealers catalog so I looked good for details and this is what I saw 8083 Hoth rebel BP; 1 trooper is more a commander and the other two are normal troopers, they have a new or different coloured (tan) hat with the new goggles from the set from this year, the vehicle is not bad, the pilot has the grey moustaced face as have the commander. 8084 well, you already saw better pictures 8085 freeco sp.; I still can't see If Anakin or someone else is inside, but the fig on the right is for 95% a Talz guy 8087 imp. fighter.; Has a tie pilot and a stormtrooper 8088 Arc fighter.; Has Kitt Fisto, A normal pilot with a new helmet, Captain Jag with a new helmet and some orange printed on his face, an astro-mech with a white body and a green head with the name R4-P44 8086 is already found over the whole internet and it looks like the set with luke's landspeeder is not for the netherlands or not for the netherlands in the first of the year. I hope I could help you all with this information And No, I can not take pictures and put them on the internet. Quote

And if it's R4-P44, they have chosen a droid from RotS, so there is hope that it might be a RotS set. Here's a short article about the droid: Star Wars Wikia Link: R4-P44 ~General Magma Quote

If in the final set there was some sort of commander included with a different torso to those of the regular Hoth Rebel Trooper and the Rebel Pilot this would be really great! Klaus-Dieter Quote
ForceMaster Posted September 25, 2009 Posted September 25, 2009 Wout, thanks to the news) 8083 - exellent, snow rebels commando!) 8088 - we have a new green astromech head, ya? Quote
Wout Posted September 25, 2009 Posted September 25, 2009 @ general Magma: I thought dot-eyed @ Klaus-Dieter: I not really saw it good, but the commander looked like it most of it through his grey moustache, I also hope for a little different torso. @ Forcemaster: A commander is something different than a commando. It's more a sort of Sergeant 2nd question:It looks like a new green head Quote

filip skywalker Posted September 25, 2009 Posted September 25, 2009 8088 Arc fighter.; Has Kitt Fisto, A normal pilot with a new helmet, Captain Jag with a new helmet and some orange printed on his face, an astro-mech with a white body and a green head with the name R4-P44 Told ya! Quote
General Magma Posted September 25, 2009 Posted September 25, 2009 (edited) Well if they are dot-eyed it may be RotS, and if it is, then that means I was right! Several things that may prove that it is RotS (I'm not 100% sure if it is RotS, but there is a chance...) 1. The planet on the image looked like Coruscant, and ARC-170s were there in RotS. 2. And then, the pilots are in RotS ep3 style, and may have dot eyes. Told ya! You're not the only one who knew it was Jag. ~General Magma Edited September 25, 2009 by General Magma Quote
pedro Posted September 25, 2009 Posted September 25, 2009 It could be... except for the fact that Luke's landspeeder wasn't at the convention! Of course... but I meant actual, real-life (OMG!) Garindan! Thanks for the additional information Wout - the different combinations of heads in the Hoth Rebel battle pack sounds great! And I'd love to see more detailed shots of the new clone pilot and Cap'n Jag Quote
Commander Assassin Posted September 25, 2009 Posted September 25, 2009 (edited) Captain Jag with a new helmet and some orange printed on his face NO! How could you do this to me Lego?! Spyder Posted September 25, 2009 Posted September 25, 2009 I don't keep up to date here, so has any body seen this Brickshelf folder? It says one of the new sets is Mace Windu's fighter, which would make sense because Lego is bringing back purple. It also has a nice shot of the Arc-170 fighter, and look- it has new pilot masks! That's a MOC, and it's been in that folder for a very long time.Purple never left, it's use just slowed down. They're not ''bringing it back,'' it would have had to be gone for that. Quote

I think that starfighter (purple) is fake, you can see the old Vulture Droid there plus it's just a recolored version of the JSF with the hyperdrive boosterring set A.K.A. Obi-Wan's blue starfighter. ~General Magma Quote
