Jar Jar Posted September 26, 2009 Posted September 26, 2009 Well if they are dot-eyed it may be RotS, and if it is, then that means I was right!Several things that may prove that it is RotS (I'm not 100% sure if it is RotS, but there is a chance...) 1. The planet on the image looked like Coruscant, and ARC-170s were there in RotS. 2. And then, the pilots are in RotS ep3 style, and may have dot eyes. You're not the only one who knew it was Jag. ~General Magma Well, Jag was in a ARC-170 when he killed Plo Koon in Ep. 3. So maybe you could put the ARC and Plo's ship together. I don't know about the droid. Quote

Commander Flash Posted September 26, 2009 Posted September 26, 2009 Thats what the Plo Koon star fighter is for. See, Order 66 Lego Quote
CloneCommanderDelta7 Posted September 26, 2009 Posted September 26, 2009 A rebel commander with a moustache! That's seems to sound like the rebel in the Hoth mission in Lego Star Wars The Complete Saga and Lego Star Wars The Original Trilogy. Quote

CloneCommanderDelta7 Posted September 26, 2009 Posted September 26, 2009 I didn't think they would be basing it on their own video games, and they never have before. So why now? Is it because they're running out of other things to build? Quote
Jar Jar Posted September 26, 2009 Posted September 26, 2009 /HeaddeskUgh, I was JUST about to post this! Plo Koon would've made more sense if he was in the ARC. Lol! If you do put it together, then why is Kit in there! Did he kill Plo? Quote
CloneCommanderDelta7 Posted September 26, 2009 Posted September 26, 2009 Maybe they are going to make a Plo Koon starfighter anyway. But Kit Fisto hasn't been sets for a while and that will bring marketing influence on kids and new collectors. Quote
ADHO15 Posted September 26, 2009 Posted September 26, 2009 A rebel commander with a moustache! That's seems to sound like the rebel in the Hoth mission in Lego Star Wars The Complete Saga and Lego Star Wars The Original Trilogy. As a few of us said originally, one may be Major Bren Derlin. We were shouted down, but now look who's right! Maybe they are going to make a Plo Koon starfighter anyway. But Kit Fisto hasn't been sets for a while and that will bring marketing influence on kids and new collectors. It is due for release in the summer of next year. I would have preferred three new pilots. It's putting me off buying it. Quote
Penitent Tangent Posted September 26, 2009 Posted September 26, 2009 Thats what the Plo Koon star fighter is for. See, Order 66 Lego Yeah, I think the decision there was probably because Plo Koon has a much more unique Starfighter, where as Kit Fisto's is a lot like Ahsoka's. We don't need another red and green one. Quote
Future74 Posted September 26, 2009 Posted September 26, 2009 As a few of us said originally, one may be Major Bren Derlin. We were shouted down, but now look who's right! Rebel BP - "Tank" is average. Minifigures are ok, but I hope it includes not only rebel troopers, but for instance Bren Derlin. Just a slightly different minifigure. Yes, we were shouted down. Now let's hope we are right for sure. Quote
-JD- Posted September 26, 2009 Posted September 26, 2009 Or, the trooper could be this guy: I like the sound of the figure selection for the Rebel BP. A commander would be a good addition! But, tan helmets? Quote
Spyder Posted September 26, 2009 Posted September 26, 2009 This guy has some great pics of the Imperial BP, as well as some other 2010 sets (from other themes). Quote
YG-49 Posted September 26, 2009 Posted September 26, 2009 This image: http://www.mocpages.com/image_zoom.php?moc...854/12537539931 makes it look as if the whole suit is tan. Quote
Forresto Posted September 26, 2009 Posted September 26, 2009 Is it just me or does the rebel soldier at the back right corner look like he's black. If so that'll be awesom if lego is making more diverse sets. Quote

It is due for release in the summer of next year. I would have preferred three new pilots. It's putting me off buying it. Well... unless they name him Bren Derlin straight up in the BP I'm just gonna call him random guy with moustache. Or, the trooper could be this guy: I like the sound of the figure selection for the Rebel BP. A commander would be a good addition! But, tan helmets? Where are we getting the tan helmets from? That's just one blurry old picture! Even if it is the latest we've go, I don't get the whole fuss. This guy has some great pics of the Imperial BP, as well as some other 2010 sets (from other themes). Can you at least try to look a post above you or two? Is it just me or does the rebel soldier at the back right corner look like he's black. If so that'll be awesom if lego is making more diverse sets. I'm not quite sure what you're looking at.. but that would be nice! Although I didn't see any diversity at all in the random rebel cast for the movie, it could still be done. But I'm not so sure if Lego's going to do that, they've never done it before... But as I've said before and I'll say it again, lets try not to bring iffy subjects into the world of Lego. Quote

Ahem.... 8083 Hoth rebel BP; 1 trooper is more a commander and the other two are normal troopers, they have a new or different coloured (tan) hat with the new goggles from the set from this year, the vehicle is not bad, the pilot has the grey moustaced face as have the commander. Quote
Wout Posted September 26, 2009 Posted September 26, 2009 About the rebel commander and the rebel pilot with moustaches: they had the same faces as used for Jonah Jameson in the spiderman set from 5 years ago, and for some german troops from the indiana Jones Sets. I don't know if they make a new face for Bren Derlin. It could be they had many old faces left and just re-use them for unknown rebels or imperials, just like the face of Bruce Wayne used for IJ German troops, IJ Russian troops and now the imperial officier in the snowtroopers BP. The Who Posted September 26, 2009 Posted September 26, 2009 This guy has some great pics of the Imperial BP, as well as some other 2010 sets (from other themes).I had no idea the AT-AT Driver had a new helmet mold. It looks really weird, but it might be pretty cool when seen ''face to face.''Some nice close-ups there, and it appears that I was right: That is just a plain old 1x1 cone on the front of the flick-fires, nothing new. I don't understand why there would be tan helmets, I don't recall any of them actually being tan in the movie. Quote

These were all taken by our own member Forcemaster and we discussed the new helmet for 3 pages! Quote
Oky Posted September 26, 2009 Posted September 26, 2009 I think all this fuss over a Bren DerWhatsHisFace fig are ridiculous. Everyone knows there aren't any main characters in BPs. It's just gonna be some rebel with a mustache. Of course, this doesn't mean you can't pretend that that's him. Quote

My time has been rather short lately, and I was busy when ForceMaster posted everything.I saw the discussing of the helmet looking bulky, but it just didn't occur to me there was a new mold for it. Okly dokly. About the face fir the rebel pilot and commander, why would they use one specific face twice in a set unless it's the same character? Like in the Death star they had Luke in three different suits, but why two different people with the same face? Quote

Well, they did use millions of these: ---> <--- in old sets, plus Bruce Wayne's face for a ton of different people, so I guess they don't really care if the same face is used for more than one fig. Kaitan Posted September 26, 2009 Posted September 26, 2009 I follow this thread with great interest, and I know I rarely take part in the discussion, but I think with all these pics appearing, its worthwhile remembering that they are PRELIMINARY pictures, and may in some cases use exisiting pieces in place of new ones. Remember the first pics of the endor battle? The rebel troopers had kelpies and smiley faces! So please don't place too much faith in the prelims, they are just to give the dealers an idea of what the sets contain, not specifics... Just my thoughts. Kaitan Quote
