RocketClone Posted October 3, 2009 Posted October 3, 2009 Sorry to cut into the tan Rebel helmet discussion, but I watched the premiere of CW Season 2 tonight, and within the first thirty seconds, Plo Koon's starfighter appeared without a booster ring. I'm not sure what this means, but unless the ship appears later in the Season, it looks unlikely that it will include one. Just my two cents. OFF TOPIC: Yea but if you went to battle on a planet in your starfighter would you take your booster ring with you? ON TOPIC:i still think the goggles are oversized but i do like the recolor of the helmet though. Quote
JCC1004 Posted October 3, 2009 Posted October 3, 2009 (edited) I did see in the CW Season 2 Plo Koon's Starfighter with hyperspace ring. It was shown during the preview for next week's episode. I'm not complaning about the Hoth figures either.(except the AT-AT pilot ) Only if I had gotten 7666 Echo Base when I had the chance. I could've had a very nice Hoth display. DarthSion Posted October 3, 2009 Posted October 3, 2009 Oh man, i have a feeling the CTT will have (don't read if you have not seen CW season 2 episodes 1 & 2 and if you reply use spoiler) Ashoka as she was on top of one during the battle of Felicia. Quote

That would be terrible. I think we have seen enough of her and time she her was retired. Lego over used her. She would have been good if she wasn't in so many sets. Hopefully we get a new jedi . DarthSion Posted October 3, 2009 Posted October 3, 2009 USE SPOILERS, its still rather obvious. Quote
ADHO15 Posted October 3, 2009 Posted October 3, 2009 OFF TOPIC:Yea but if you went to battle on a planet in your starfighter would you take your booster ring with you? Who said anything about it being part of a ground battle? It would be fine as a space-based set. Quote
Jar Jar Posted October 3, 2009 Posted October 3, 2009 Are you talking about Ahsoka? I would not even look at the CTT if it had her. I was hoping for Aayla Secura. Quote
Stash2Sixx Posted October 3, 2009 Posted October 3, 2009 As much as we may tire of Ahsoka, the kids love her, and for that reason, LEGO is gonna keep tossing her in sets. Though after seeing those last episodes, I really hope that they don't base the Turbo Tank (if it really is a set) on that one. Judging by the people in those scenes, we have enough of those minifigs already, we need unique minifigs. But, LEGO does have a history of putting the rarer figures into the larger sets, so I'll just have to wait. Quote
DarthSion Posted October 3, 2009 Posted October 3, 2009 (edited) Yeah like Palps has never been seen in a venator and he was in the venator set. Edited October 3, 2009 by DarthSion Quote
Kaitan Posted October 3, 2009 Posted October 3, 2009 He's a better picture of the new Hoth Trooper helmet. Credit goes to Commander 501. Linky! I'm not sure if it's cosidered "confidental" so I just posted a link. Those goggles look rather good with the new helment. I'm not sure about the tan color though. That pic is taken from the DK Star Wars Lego Visual Dictionary, so it's not confidential :) I like the new headgear - much better than the helmets and closer to the actual hoth guys headgear! Quote
-JD- Posted October 3, 2009 Posted October 3, 2009 I know this might sound a little fussy, but these new Hoth Troopers will look quite strange next to the older ones. I mean, why change now? Quote

Better safe then sorry, I know this might sound a little fussy, but these new Hoth Troopers will look quite strange next to the older ones. I mean, why change now? They will look wierd next to the others but don't the Hoth rebels that came out this year look wierd next to the ones with the old goggles? It is very moive acurate. We'll probably see it in Wapma ataach on Luke. I'm hoping TLG will release it it white too. Quote
KimT Posted October 3, 2009 Author Posted October 3, 2009 Personally I'd prefer them to have sticked to the Hoth Rebel with the brown visor. But then again, consider this a possibility to add diversity to your Hoth armies. Quote

I suppose... But hey, atleast they are more movie accurate. Hopefully TLG will include Starkiller's face like in the Endor Bunker set. I would also like to see some new bearded faces. starwarsfanatic Posted October 3, 2009 Posted October 3, 2009 I hope the CTT does not have Ahsoka as it would make it rather a boring set. In fact, I hope it has Aayla Secura or Ki-Adi Mundi with ample clones. Quote
KimT Posted October 3, 2009 Author Posted October 3, 2009 Mkay guys, feel free to skip the spoiler stuff. This is an on-line discussion on rumored and confirmed future Star Wars sets and using the spoiler here is a little more than 'off'. Quote
Darth Legolas Posted October 3, 2009 Posted October 3, 2009 I did see in the CW Season 2 Plo Koon's Starfighter with hyperspace ring. It was shown during the preview for next week's episode. I'm not complaning about the Hoth figures either.(except the AT-AT pilot ) Only if I had gotten 7666 Echo Base when I had the chance. I could've had a very nice Hoth display. First off, the AT-AT pilot is NOT in 7666. Second, the oversizeness is ACCURATE. Thank you. Oh man, i have a feeling the CTT will have (don't read if you have not seen CW season 2 episodes 1 & 2 and if you reply use spoiler) Ashoka as she was on top of one during the battle of Felicia. Definitely, and it's still bothers me when you spell it wrong! I don't need another one, but we still will get SOMEONE else. Maybe Ki-Adi or Aayla. We'll just wait to see who else is with the tank ever. If you notice, there was only one CTT out there, because they were just being tested and rolled out. Later in the season there could be tons more. That would be terrible. I think we have seen enough of her and time she her was retired. Lego over used her. She would have been good if she wasn't in so many sets. Hopefully we get a new jedi . One of your "she's" is un-spoiled and second, that was really unnecessary. On the subject of the new Rebel caps: I love them! Even though they don't go well with the four I have, they look almost perfect! The goggles look too big on the new hat, but the new hat looks perfect! Quote
JCC1004 Posted October 3, 2009 Posted October 3, 2009 First off, the AT-AT pilot is NOT in 7666. Second, the oversizeness is ACCURATE. Thank you. I know, I was talking about 2010's Hoth figures. I then went on moping about not getting 7666. Which would make a nice Hoth display with all of the new Hoth sets. The AT-AT pilot's helmet is NOT that big on him. The one using the Stormtrooper helmet was a decent size. This one is too big. Personally I'd prefer them to have sticked to the Hoth Rebel with the brown visor. Really? Those were very inaccurate. Personally I liked the goggles used in Adventures. The new ones have several problems. I did like their white hips and light gray legs over light gray hips and white legs. I am liking the different helmets, colors, and faces. It will add some much needed diverty amoug the Rebels. Quote
Jar Jar Posted October 3, 2009 Posted October 3, 2009 Does any of you know if Palp's shuttle is RotS or CW? I hope it's RotS because that might mean it will come back. Besides, they have plenty more sets to go for that movie. Quote

Besides, they have plenty more sets to go for that movie. CW no doubt. CW is temporary replacing PT. After CW ends( does anyone know who long it's going to last?) PT will probably make a come back. OT already has made quite a come back since 08. Adding another comment I just noticed that the Rebel's helmets have clips for the goggles to go down on the face! You'd have to remove the goggles from the top clips and put them on the lower clips. I just wish it was in white. The goggles aren't that big on the helmet. I'm deplinking a reference picture. Derek Posted October 4, 2009 Posted October 4, 2009 This spoiler stuff is getting really obnoxious . While I am all for a new helmet for the Hoth troopers, I wish that Lego would have done it this year for the Hoth set. There haven't been Hoth sets for a while now, and now there will be only one with the white helmets. It sounds really nitpicky and dorky, but I wish Lego would have produced them for this year's release. Quote
Forresto Posted October 4, 2009 Posted October 4, 2009 First of all it's not a freaking spoiler if all you're saying is that Ashoka is standing on a ctt on felucia . If people either followed the clone wars season two topic here or have been looking at clips here and on star wars.com they would already know that. Unless it reveals a plot twist or somthing somewhat major that happens then don't use the spoiler bar. Sorry to sound like a moderator and i'm not mad either i'm just trying to mae my point across. Anyways back on topic I think the new rebel helmets are pretty awesome. It's wierd they're tan but it does add more detail to any hoth scene. I hope they do change the imperial officer to be more hoth like. Quote

After looking at the reference picture that JCC1004 deeplinked for us, the prototype still looks great but the colour is way off. I still think that the goggles look pretty good in size. The shape of the helmet is great but the colour doesnt look right but that helmet is still a prototype so it could change Quote
