Klaus-Dieter Posted October 5, 2009 Posted October 5, 2009 Perhaps...But we've (Star Wars) have already gotten Republic Dropship and Tantive IV this year, so I kinda doubt we'll see an early superset like the AT-AT would be. My guess is late 2010. You're supposably right, KimT. But if the AT-AT was firstly released in fall 2010 - what's then with the Cloud City set which came up as rumor earlier? Since we know now all regular SW sets for 2010 and since there will supposably be an AT-AT as Exclusive this would mean that another OT set - at least a big and/or exclusive one - is highly unlikeable. So this would even mean that we'll see no Cloud City set. And if we saw no Cloud City set in 2010 (wherer ESB has its birthday!) we surely will - if TLG stops its SW license after 2011 - even not see one in 2011 since this would then be the last year for Lego SW where mainly the most famous ships (MF, X-Wing, regular TIE-Fighter) and some re-designs of famous locations (I bet for Jabba's Palace) will appear. At the moment we already have the second version of the AT-AT. If TLG did not include some rooms from the rebel's base and some exclusive minifigs in the possible third version I really ask myself which sense this set then should make - even since Cloud City was only done one time and offers a lot more playability than a third version of an AT-AT. Zzz Posted October 5, 2009 Posted October 5, 2009 (edited) I guess I lost it somewhere, so can someone please tell me where the AT-AT rumour came from? And the Cloud City set rumour was based only on someone saying accidently that the new set is "clouded in mystery". But didn't that one turned out to be the Tantive 4 from this year? The statement was not about 2010, cause at the time of that statement there were no info about 2010 whatsoever. All of the 2010 sets were "clouded in mystery" at that point. I am sorry I missed these things, but it would be nice if someone tells me where exactly these things were mentioned, so we can all base our imagination and fantasy on these statements and not become crazy or take it already as sound, when actually someone made this up.. Also, did TLC say they're going to make sets for anniversaries, like the 30th ESB anniversary next year? Everyone is saying that , but so far I cannot remember any specific anniversary set. The 30th of ANH was celebrated with the Y-Wing and the UCS MF, but there were also sets from all the other episodes, except for 2. And that is no real anniversary I think... Thanks for putting me in this, guys! :) Edited October 5, 2009 by Zzz Quote
Jar Jar Posted October 5, 2009 Posted October 5, 2009 (edited) I think that the orange on Jag's face isn't printed, you do mean Jag the pilot don't you? I think starwarsfanatic was right in what he said. Also the last part of your post doesn't really make sense. CommanderFox Yes I mean Jag, and I said that if it was printed then people wouldn't be able to switch the heads if they didn't like CW or if it was RotS. BTW, is the ARC a CW version or a RotS or could you use it for both. ( Sorry for using the word "or" alot.) Edited October 5, 2009 by Jar Jar Quote
KimT Posted October 5, 2009 Author Posted October 5, 2009 any thoughts?http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=404024 I'm pretty sure it's the Malevolence. Not sure. It could be, but the instructions are only partial. Not everything is there, so it is hard to tell. It's the Malevolence insturctions. The full set is avaliable in the CW game thread. It's old news. About the Hoth Rebel helmets, if you'd want them to be screen accurate they'd need to me white. I like the sould of it being molded in dark tan. It's the instructions for the Malevolence as JCC1004 says. Check the first post in this topic for links and required sets to build it. Quote
ForceMaster Posted October 5, 2009 Posted October 5, 2009 Mini-Mavelonce looks pretty cool!) I will soon buy details for this on a BL. Quote
commdr_neyo Posted October 5, 2009 Posted October 5, 2009 There's a better pic of the rebel helmet here! Quote
Darth Legolas Posted October 5, 2009 Posted October 5, 2009 Wait wait wait! Does this mean the orange visor is not printed on the face? It would be awful because then you wouldn't be able to have a RotS or CW. No, it would be much better. That means the orange is removable, so there is orange, but it's an actual piece. Try reading harder. Though, this is all speculation. We can barely see anything from that puny little picture. As clear as it is, it's still too small. That reminds me...where did that picture come from? Quote
-JD- Posted October 5, 2009 Posted October 5, 2009 (edited) There's a better pic of the rebel helmet here! Excellent picture neyo! Looks like we can put other googles lower down on the hat. A little pointless, but ah well. The shape looks better and more accurate, and suits the figure. So yeh, that BP is sold. Edited October 5, 2009 by Jammiedodger714 Quote

They need to protect thier eyes from the snow. I'm probably getting 2 of the Rebel BP and only 1 on the Imperial BP. Thanks for the link Neyo. Quote
Wout Posted October 5, 2009 Posted October 5, 2009 Thank you for the nice pic, Commander Neyo. The new hat/helmet looks great. Quote
starwarsfanatic Posted October 5, 2009 Posted October 5, 2009 Maybe the Rebel hat will be in more sets next year. Perhaps on a skeleton in Wampa Attack, and on a flattened rebel in the AT-AT set. Maybe the AT-AT set could fold out to make a Cloud City playset Quote
Rocketbilly Posted October 5, 2009 Posted October 5, 2009 Speaking of the battlepacks, it appears that there's not a blaster for every fig - I can only count three blasters per BP. I hope it's just me, and there actually are enough blasters for all the figs....can anyone hopefully prove me wrong....please? I can see three in the rebel BP - pilot has one, and the two soldiers have long blasters. The guy on the vehicle appears to be unarmed. Same for the Imperial BP - There are two short blasters clipped to the missile platform thing, and one of the snowtroopers is carrying one. The only thing I can think of is that the other blasters are "Hidden" - perhaps clipped to the vehicles, like we've seen a few times before. Will/Rocketbilly Quote

A quote of what you said: Wait wait wait! Does this mean the orange visor is not printed on the face? That would be awful because then you wouldn't be able to have a RotS or CW. So, that's basically a complaint about non-printed visors. Now you say you like them. Ah, apologies if it was a mess up in a foreign translator or something. Quote

I was trying to say it would be awful if it WAS printed on the face cause then you couldn't switch heads. Sorry, I wasn't really paying attention when I was typing. Quote
The Who Posted October 5, 2009 Posted October 5, 2009 There's a better pic of the rebel helmet here! Thanks! that's about as good of a picture as we can get, I suppose.Maybe the Rebel hat will be in more sets next year.Probably, but that's really not necessary at all. It's a battle pack, it is 100% intended for you as the customer to buy tons of these and use them how you want to.I can only count three blasters per BP. I hope it's just me, and there actually are enough blasters for all the figs.Well, it only takes one fig to pilot a speederbike/speedertank, and that 'pilot' doesn't really need a blaster if he already has his hands full, now does he? LEGO STAR WARS Posted October 5, 2009 Posted October 5, 2009 Freeco Speeder- Is there any news on this? Everyones talking about the land speeder and rebel battle pack. I think for the Freeco the LEGO company shouldalmost make it kind of like a battle pack with a Pantoran soldier, CAT and a Talz or 2. We don't need another Anakan or Obi-Wan. They are already avalible in cheap sets that will still be around by the time they release this. Quote

True, but in past Battlepacks we've got a weapon for every fig. And what if the vehicle breaks downor gets destroyed...how does the pilot defend themselves then? I suppose they could hit the enemy over the head with their oversized-yet-still-movie-accurate helmet...but that's for a few pages back =] Will/Rocketbilly Quote

Yes but they are prelims and could be changed alot. I hope so. On the CATs the could almost use the snowtrooper helmets only instead of 2 eye hole thingys they could make it a T. Quote
