YG-49 Posted October 9, 2009 Posted October 9, 2009 Rocket Droid Commander? Interesting. I wonder how different it'll be. Quote
ADHO15 Posted October 9, 2009 Posted October 9, 2009 Some nice info there. Thanks Seijitai. The price of the Freeco Speeder is a complete rip off, though. The same price as the droid tri-fighter when it has far fewer pieces. It should have some good unique stuff to make up for it. The rest sound good too, but I'll only be getting the BPs. It looks like we will definitely be getting that new AT-AT pilot's helmet. Quote
Seijitai Posted October 9, 2009 Posted October 9, 2009 (edited) Veyr cool, I wonder were the $100 set is The same for me... but I won't complaint too much... As I'm going to buy several of most of these sets, it will already kill my wallet for 3 months... Maybe lego's planning again a surprise like the AT-OT/Carrier from Toyfair 09'... Nobody saw it coming, and it's was a 250€ sets, glups ! Regarding the sets, I'm impatient to see the Hoth rebel pack with Zev (a new pattern rebel pilot helmet is always welcome). And I'm almost sure that the new tie fighter pilot will share the same helmet than the AT-AT driver... Edited October 9, 2009 by Seijitai Quote
Ras 74 Posted October 9, 2009 Posted October 9, 2009 Thanks for the updates. When is Toyfair 10 gonna be? Anyone got a clue?? Quote

Mission Commander Posted October 9, 2009 Posted October 9, 2009 $15 for a battle pack? Hell no! Quote
simonjedi Posted October 9, 2009 Posted October 9, 2009 (edited) sigh... here we go again. EDIT: cross posted from SP3 thread: 2010 First Wave5981 - Raid VPR Am I the only one who after seeing the "front wings" thought using it for a EP3 Jedi starfighter? Edited October 9, 2009 by simonjedi Quote
General Magma Posted October 9, 2009 Posted October 9, 2009 (edited) $15 for a battle pack? Hell no! Please read the post above yours. Now before we go off-topic any further, just stay on with the discussion of the sets for 2010. [ontopic again] The description by Seijitai also says that there will be a new TIE Fighter pilot. I'm looking forward to seeing it, but I think it will have the new mold similair to the AT-AT Driver one but then in TIE Pilot form, it looks good but won't fit in with my old pilot. ~General Magma EDIT: @DarthSion: Here you go. He was a pilot and died on Hoth. Edited October 9, 2009 by General Magma Quote
simonjedi Posted October 9, 2009 Posted October 9, 2009 (edited) Zev was one of the pilots in the battle of hoth. He died. EDIT: ninja'd by general magma The description by Seijitai also says that there will be a new TIE Fighter pilot. I'm looking forward to seeing it, but I think it will have the new mold similair to the AT-AT Driver one but then in TIE Pilot form, it looks good but won't fit in with my old pilot. My guess is a more accurate pilot (so a new chest box and hoses.) Edited October 9, 2009 by simonjedi Quote

EDIT: ninja'd by general magma My guess is a more accurate pilot (so a new chest box and hoses.) If the pilot does get changed all I think we'll see is New AT-AT driver hemet (black and differnt print of course) New chest box piece (compoosed of a neck clip and 2x1 sized box) New torso print Thanks for the new Amazon info too. LEGO STAR WARS Posted October 9, 2009 Posted October 9, 2009 Zev was one of the pilots in the battle of hoth.He died. EDIT: ninja'd by general magma Why would they put a main charecter in a battle pack? Quote
Penitent Tangent Posted October 9, 2009 Posted October 9, 2009 Why would they put a main charecter in a battle pack? Perhaps so you can use him in your other Hoth sets if you want, but he's still generic enough to be any random pilot. Quote
Klaus-Dieter Posted October 9, 2009 Posted October 9, 2009 (edited) Thank you very much for the sets descriptions, Seijitai! One additional negative annotation: Since the minifigure in the Snow Troopers BP is officially called "Imperial Officer" we surely will get the common regular Imp. Trooper but with a light-grey helmet. Why do we never get a new torso for an Imp. Officer such as for a lieutenant, a colonel, a captain, ...?! The Imperial fleet really needs more different officers! One additional positive annotation: Since the minifigure in the Rebel Troopers BP is officially called "Zev Senesca" this means that we can await a new helmet design! Commander Assassin Posted October 9, 2009 Posted October 9, 2009 $60 for the Defender is a joke! The set only has 300-some pieces! In my mind, this should be a $30-40 USD set. Also, not too happy about the 170-some piece Freeco being $25, but at least the price isn't doubled what it's worth! Although in my mind I think that the ARC is $20 overpriced, (I think it should be $40, not $60), I will still buy it, pending on whether the visors are plastic or printed. Quote
General Magma Posted October 9, 2009 Posted October 9, 2009 (edited) The Imperial Officer has an AT-ST pilot helmet, but they still call it an Imperial Officer. I don't know if they will maybe change the headpiece, but I doubt it, as it is more suited for a cold-planet like Hoth, so I'm OK with that as it is a Hoth BP. You gotta admit you would never walk around in the very cold snow with only a cap on(), you would freeze to death then (atleast, on Hoth). But an alternate cap included with it would be useful for those who also want the regular Imp Officers. @Klaus-Dieter: What do you mean by "light-gray head"? $60 for the Defender is a joke! Oh, sorry, I prescribed - I of course wanted to write "with a light grey helmet". Thanks for calling my attention to this, General Magma. I totally agree with you, General Magma, - only with that a small helmet it surely would get very cold. Nevertheless I think that this minifigure would/will looks fine - if only TLG gave it a new different torso. Klaus-Dieter Quote

Well I have been posting a few times already that this isn't the topic for price ranting, but not everyone seems to read it. Oh well, just wanted to keep it clean 'til the MODs return to this galaxy. @Klaus-Dieter: Yes, I agree, there should be more Imperial Officer torso's. They only have the regular torso and the Grand Moff Tarkin torso.. lieutenants and such are needed too! But I'm glad they didn't use a smiley face for the officer like they did for all earlier officers. With the discontinuation of the Indiana Jones line, it could mean that they'll recycle some more of the heads. Would be good.. ~General Magma Quote
TheBrickDaddy Posted October 9, 2009 Posted October 9, 2009 MUST RESTRAIN FROM PRICE RANT ABOUT TIE DEFENDER... Anyway, I really do hope they change the AT-AT pilot helmet. Why would they suddenly change it to grey?... And that battle droid 'commander' sounds interesting, let's not judge that Tri-fighter just yet. Quote
