ILikePi Posted October 9, 2009 Posted October 9, 2009 (edited) Wow, it looks like Amazon USA is going to be the website that will leak all of the set information this year! LEGO Star Wars Rebel Trooper Army Pack 8083 – $14.99Sounds great! I think that the Amazon over priced it, though. The battle packs are probably going to be $11 USD. LEGO Star Wars Snow Trooper Army Pack 8084 – $14.99Sounds just like the picture we saw. Again, the price will probably be $11 USD.LEGO Star Wars Freeco Speeder 8085 – $24.99Hmm, $25 USD for this? I hope not, as it is just one vehicle. I can't wait to see better pictures of the Talz chieftain, though. LEGO Star Wars Trifighter Droid 8086 – $24.99Ahh, finally a LEGO Star Wars set that isn't overpriced! That price-to-parts ratio is amazing for a lower priced Star Wars set! LEGO Star Wars Tie Defender 8087 – $59.99Doesn't seem that good to me, but I think that LEGO went a little bit overboard on the flick-fire missiles. The price also seems to be a bit off...maybe $40 USD is the acutal price? LEGO Star Wars ARC-170 Starfighter 8088 – $59.99Only 396 pieces? It seems much larger than that. I won't be getting this (too many good sets next year), but it sounds nice (although we already saw pics of it).I can't wait for non-blurry pictures to come out! Darth Legolas Posted October 9, 2009 Posted October 9, 2009 Hey everybody! Weehoo, I'm back from the dead/not-posting because it's kind of pointless at the moment. Not price ranting, but trying to say don't worry about the Tie Defender. AMazon's got everything about half price increased, meaning the BP's are all +%, the Freeco's +15, therefore the TIE Defender is at most +30. Maybe it will cost more. As per the Hoth Imp, they may change his torso to match his helmet or vice versa at the last moment, or we could all switch there helmetss with AT-ST pilot helmets. That would be cool. One all light bley, one all dark bley, and if you also have a DS trooper (I do!), then you have one all black! Problem solved. Quote
CommanderFox Posted October 10, 2009 Posted October 10, 2009 Geez! Things sure do get messy around here when KimT's gone Thanks for keeping the peace General Magma Thanks for that imformation Seijitai Can't wait till the new sets come out! especially the Rebel BP with Zev Senesca, Yay! a new rebel face CommanderFox Quote
Derek Posted October 10, 2009 Posted October 10, 2009 Why would they put a main charecter in a battle pack? He can't be too major of a player in the movies, considering the fact I have never heard of him before and I just had to look him up on Wookiepeida! I'm betting he is just going to have the standard smiley face, and Lego is choosing to market him as a "NEW CHARACTER!" Quote
CommanderFox Posted October 10, 2009 Posted October 10, 2009 I'm betting he is just going to have the standard smiley face, and Lego is choosing to market him as a "NEW CHARACTER!" Yes that is tipical Lego Does anyone still think the Jedi Temple from the Quest for R2-D2 vid, could be the suprise set for next year like the AT-OT and the Tantive 4 where? Im Really hoping!...501st troopers *drools all over his computar* CommanderFox Quote
Jar Jar Posted October 10, 2009 Posted October 10, 2009 I'd just hope it would be a PT not stupid CW. Then we could have a PT Yoda, Shaak Ti, Aayla Secura, Ki-Adi-Mundi, Luminara so much more! But you never know! Quote
DarthPlagueis7099 Posted October 10, 2009 Posted October 10, 2009 Hi, I'm new here. The jedi temple could be a possibility... It would be a great way to get a lot of clones Quote
CommanderFox Posted October 10, 2009 Posted October 10, 2009 Welcome to EB DarthPlagueis7099! Yes it could be a possibility, but It'd be a big set so probably wouldn't have alot of 501st troopers, and I personally can't see people buying 5 Jedi temples just to get 20 troopers My fingers are really crossed though! sorry if this is off-topic.. Knightsword Posted October 10, 2009 Posted October 10, 2009 Anyone else look at the amazon links, the TIE Defender is $49.99. Quote
Seijitai Posted October 10, 2009 Posted October 10, 2009 @ All : Thanks, I'm glad you appreciate the infos . Now let's hope for some pics soon ! @ Knightsword : Thanks, post edited. I'm sure it was $59.99 yesterday afternoon... Let's hope that the other prices will drop down as well ! Quote
CloneCommanderDelta7 Posted October 11, 2009 Posted October 11, 2009 Can't we wait until Lego clarify the pricing themselves? That would be truthful and correct. Quote
LEGO STAR WARS Posted October 11, 2009 Posted October 11, 2009 LEGO Star Wars Trifighter Droid 8086 – $24.99• Includes 2 rocket battle droids and 1 rocket battle droid commander minifigure • Droid Tri-Fighter features two flick bombs and a ball cockpit that opens to fit a Battle Droid inside • Battle against the Republic by adding #8088 ARC-170 • Vehicle Droid Tri-fighter was featured in Episode III during the attack on Coruscant • 268 pieces I think they must have added that droid commander in because it was not on the origanal box art. Cannot wait for pictures that are final and clear! Quote
Mission Commander Posted October 11, 2009 Posted October 11, 2009 I can't wais for the new pics, I wonder what the commander looks like though... Quote
Forresto Posted October 11, 2009 Posted October 11, 2009 Out of randomness there's a pic for a late 2009 "set" I found on flik-r (and on FBTB) of a Nintendo DS case with a mosaic Printed on lots of 2x2 tiles. link . It comes out in november and is $14.99. It's very. . . . interesting, My DS broke though so i'm probably not buying it. Quote
Mission Commander Posted October 11, 2009 Posted October 11, 2009 I saw this also, it is also late 2009 thread so I guess it's news. Quote
DarthPlagueis7099 Posted October 11, 2009 Posted October 11, 2009 Did someone earlier on say that the ARC-170 fighter was 100 pounds? That's a total ripoff . I can't wait for the august pics to come out. Quote
ILikePi Posted October 11, 2009 Posted October 11, 2009 I think they must have added that droid commander in because it was not on the origanal box art.Ahh, thanks for pointing that out! I didn't even notice that.I'm guessing that the rocket battle droid commander will be a reverse colored droid. Either that or a nice printed one. Either way, it's a win-win situation! We might either get the parts to make droids that are fully dark orange and fully dark bley, or some printed droid parts. Quote

By the way isn't it about time we got some clear 2010 pics. I really want to see how the droid commander is different, how the Zev fig is different. Also To see the Talz and to see if there is a Grandian fig. Edited October 11, 2009 by LEGO STAR WARS Quote
Darth Legolas Posted October 11, 2009 Posted October 11, 2009 I hope we get printed droid parts. By the way isn't it about time we got some clear 2010 pics? I realy want to see how the doid commander is different, how the Zev fig is different. Also To see the Talz and to see if there is a Garindan fig. Zev has a mustache. Like the IJ old guy/muscle man when everyone was going nuts over the fact that his mustache was gray, and the box showed brown. Maybe Lego'll make a brown mustache for the battlepack, and people will start having spazz attacks. Though, Lego will probably change their faces, because right now they don't have Dot-eyes like every other Star Wars character, besides the smiley imps from the Imperial Inspection set....that I never got. Next, the Talz I can imagine. It's probably going to be Chewie/Ewok style, but Lego can also make it like the 2005 wookies. One black head will make the four eyes through holes in the head. But it would be a bit complex. No comment on Garindan.... Quote
JCC1004 Posted October 11, 2009 Posted October 11, 2009 (edited) Yes TLG, he does have quite a stache. His helmet also resembles Wedge's one. I hope we a new print for him instead of Wedge's reused. On a side note is the pilot who came in the 7658 Y-Wing a generic pilot or Dutch Vander? Edited October 11, 2009 by JCC1004 Quote

Maybe Lego'll make a brown mustache for the battlepack, and people will start having spazz attacks. Zev doesn't have a mustache. I'm guessing it's just going to be a fleshy smile. I wouldn't be surprised if the helmet's just a wedge helmet reissue too. Edit: I guess I was too slow on my typing. And JCC1004 has a picture too. Edit: Edit: And I'm a moron. SWMAN Posted October 11, 2009 Posted October 11, 2009 I like how Lego has a little bit more balance between the OT and PT/Clone Wars with these sets. The past couple releases have been heavy on the Clone Wars and very light on the OT. Quote
starwarsfanatic Posted October 11, 2009 Posted October 11, 2009 I don't think the Hoth Rebel battle pack will include Zev. After all, the pics we've seen so far show a pilot with a moustache, and Zev has none. And also, since when are main characters in a battle pack? I hope it's a new helmet mold. However, I hope the torso on the pilot stays the same. The reason for this is that I only have two pilots but have somehow accumulated three helmets. That way I can buy two bps and have four pilots from my custom Rebel squad. I know that I won't have the money to buy four so my army won't make any sense. The Jetpack Droid Commander in the Tri Fighter is a perfect example of the potential these prelims have of changing. I think it's suspicious that 8092 Luke's Landspeeder hasn't surfaced on Amazon.com. Maybe the minifigs haven't been confirmed. You never know. Perhaps there was no Garindan, but a LEGO representative read this thread and saw the Garindan discussion before taking the idea back to the design room at TLG and the team instantly set to work making a brand new Garindan mold. It's just a thought. I'll buy the set with or without Garindan and don't see the minifigure in the pic, but things change. Quote

On a side note is the pilot who came in the 7658 Y-Wing a generic pilot or Dutch Vander? Right, I was thinking of the Hoth Reb with the stache. Woopsie. Either way it's just a generic rebel. Zev doesn't have a mustache. I'm guessing it's just going to be a fleshy smile. I wouldn't be surprised if the helmet's just a wedge helmet reissue too.Edit: I guess I was too slow on my typing. Mission Commander Posted October 11, 2009 Posted October 11, 2009 I really don't care if the battle pack has Zev or not, I just want dot-eyes! Quote
