LEGO STAR WARS Posted October 12, 2009 Posted October 12, 2009 On the lanspeeder did anyone notice that the left engine looks different from the engine on the right? Quote
ForceMaster Posted October 12, 2009 Posted October 12, 2009 (edited) LEGO STAR WARS, I noticed. I think it's more realistic with one "different" engine) grivus, no-no, Landspeeder will be in Russia, as Limited Edition I think. RRP (Recommend Retail Price) - 1399 RUB ($47). I think, all information interesting you has been told by me?) About Landspeeder : I looked at photo in detail, and have understood that the model terrifies only forward 1x2 light bley brick! I think it will be more detail "cowl". About T-6 shuttle : m-m-m, we have any rumors about this possible set? Or not?) Edited October 12, 2009 by ForceMaster Quote
RoryoCox Posted October 12, 2009 Posted October 12, 2009 Thanks for the picture NavytrooperFenson. It really cleared everything up. This set has great minifigs and I will defiantly be buying it. Quote
Darth Legolas Posted October 12, 2009 Posted October 12, 2009 (edited) On the lanspeeder did anyone notice that the left engine looks different from the engine on the right? That's on purpose. Look at this picture of the landspeeder: Tada! Edited October 12, 2009 by Darth Legolas Quote
Big Cam Posted October 12, 2009 Posted October 12, 2009 That's on purpose. Look at this picture of the landspeeder: Tada! yup, the one side is damages becasue it's a pile of junk (in the movie) haha. Quote
LEGO STAR WARS Posted October 12, 2009 Posted October 12, 2009 OHHHHHHHHHHH... I have not seen that movie in a while. Quote
sologuy369 Posted October 12, 2009 Posted October 12, 2009 HA! I knew there was no Garindan or whatever the hell its called! It just goes to show you how people can "see" things when they are overly wishful and excited... I still see a faded verson of it . I guess we'll have to wait for the final pictures. Quote
starwarsfanatic Posted October 12, 2009 Posted October 12, 2009 I still see a faded verson of it . I guess we'll have to wait for the final pictures. There is no Garindan in the set. Can't we put the whole thing behind us and wait for pics of the summer sets. I'm new to this sort of waiting for pics, so I don't know when the summer pics are usually available but it must be soon. That's the clearest pic we're gonning to get. There is no Imperial snitch. I was hoping for one. Lets not turn this into a heated debate. It does saden me a bit, but the clearer picture does bring out some of the cool details. Edit: semi-beaten. Edited October 12, 2009 by JCC1004 Quote

Shompis Posted October 12, 2009 Posted October 12, 2009 So guys, you think this new landspeeder looks better than the old one released a few years ago? I can not remember much of the old one, and for some reason I ignored it when it was available Quote
Commander Flash Posted October 12, 2009 Posted October 12, 2009 It looks quite a bit better, it looks more to scale to the figures and it looks a bit more detailed. Quote
Rogue Angel Posted October 12, 2009 Posted October 12, 2009 (edited) The whole reason I wanted Garindan in this set is... WHY ELSE BUY IT? I understand that's it's yet another reissue of a set we've seen, and the landspeeder is a lot more accurate, but I wouldn't even pay $20 for it. I have all of these minifigs in triplicate except the stormtrooper, which is kinda cool, kinda worth buying a $10 set for, maybe. Without Garindan, I don't need to ever look at this set again. It's the equivalent of a power miners or pirate set for me (while these are cool, I have to focus my funds on one line.) With a limited amount of time left on the license, I want new minifigs and vehicles, and any new aliens. I understand those who are excited about the better version, and I hope you guys really enjoy it, but I won't be bothering. Edited October 12, 2009 by rogueang Quote
vulcan Posted October 12, 2009 Posted October 12, 2009 Seriously, some people in this thread are starting to sound like a broken Garindan record. If you want one, why not make a custom one using this http://www.fineclonier.com/viewdesign.php?...amp;oid=5277564 Quote
Corvus Posted October 12, 2009 Posted October 12, 2009 Here you go: Curses. That's really to bad that he's not in there. There goes the only reason to buy the set. The whole reason I wanted Garindan in this set is...WHY ELSE BUY IT? Exactly. There is nothing new in this set. It's only advantage is being a small set. Seriously, some people in this thread are starting to sound like a broken Garindan record. If you don't want to talk about Garindan, don't. No need to insult the people who were hoping to see him. Jar Jar Posted October 12, 2009 Posted October 12, 2009 (edited) I was hoping to have a Garindan. But really, why is there so little sets coming out? 2005 had alot since it was a release of Ep. 3 but why not have alot of sets for an anniversary? Besides, it's the 5th anniversary of Ep. 3 so why not have sets for that Ep.? Just throw in a set with Padme or something. Who would want a CW Padme. Actually, who would want a CW fig at all! Zzz Posted October 12, 2009 Posted October 12, 2009 Ja, well - TLC never cared at all about the movies anniversaries at all. No need to start now. What is worth than no Garindan is no Jawa for me. I thought there might be a chance, they are just cute and too expensive to BL them.. I asked this before but sadly got no answer (sometimes I think that people here don't read long posts, what is rather strange for me cause I don't like to read 3 word posts but whatever) - where exactly does the rumor about the AT-AT come from? Can someone please help me.. thanks a lot in advance! Quote

Only a few impress me. They need to come up with more ideas until next year. It's ending next year isn't it? People were hoping for "GOOD" sets this year but no. No Cloud City, Jabba's Palace, anything! Sorry for being dramatic. Quote

I would like a fleshie Padme whether it be CW, Ep. 3 ,2 or 1 And like someone before me said LEGO does not care about the movies . They only care about their own anniversaries! They did alot this year for THEIR 10th anniversary Quote
Clone OPatra Posted October 13, 2009 Posted October 13, 2009 Well I for one am quite pleased with the landspeeder set even without your price-jacking-up-spy-guy. Some of you may have those minifigures, but that is only if you can afford beautiful biggies like the Death Star and the UCS MF, which are the only sets that those versions of Ben and Luke come in. The newer R2 is in a few more sets, as is the newer colored 3po, but not any sets under $100, I don't think. So, all in all, with four newest versions of major characters, plus a Stormtrooper with breather and black pauldron, plus a nice landspeeder for all of us who didn't get the cantina and would love a redesign over the first one, this is a wonderful set. And about the seemingly "small" number of sets, that is the way it always is for the first wave of a year. For two years in a row (2007 and 2008), LEGO released just 6 sets in their January wave. Last year had a couple more, but still not so many. Be patient, and wait for all of those big, expensive summer releases. @ Zzz - X-Wing Yoda of Brickhorizon.com talked to a LEGO rep at a TRU from which he got the information that there would be a new AT-AT. However, it's unclear whether that would be a UCS AT-AT, or a normal system scaled one, from what xwingyoda posted on Brickhorizon. Quote
Jar Jar Posted October 13, 2009 Posted October 13, 2009 Hasn't anyone notice that there are no OT sets besides the battle packs? Not sure about AT-AT but I don't think it's true. Quote

Jar Jar Posted October 13, 2009 Posted October 13, 2009 That's still a few and besides, Slave 1 is a rumor and it could be CW. Quote
RileyC Posted October 13, 2009 Posted October 13, 2009 The new landspeeder looks really cool. I really like the minifgs they put in the set cause I don't have Ben kenobi and Luke in his tantooine clothes. I really like how they included a sandtrooper with a black pauldron which I would have never have guessed. I'm glad that the new picture clears up any chance of a garidian . Thanks for the clear picture! Quote
Penitent Tangent Posted October 13, 2009 Posted October 13, 2009 That's still a few and besides, Slave 1 is a rumor and it could be CW. Going by what we know, it's not. We usually get mostly CW stuff in one wave, and then mostly OT stuff in the other wave for that year. I don't see the need to complain about it, I think they balance it out pretty well. Quote
