Klaus-Dieter Posted October 13, 2009 Posted October 13, 2009 Thank you very much for the new picture of the Landspeeder, NavyTrooperFenson! Now in the clear picture the Lanspeeder does look much better and not that oversized. It's a pity that we don't get that spy - but I already feared that. But like it seems the Sandtrooper owns exactly the same backpack like the one in the Mos Eisley Cantina set - that's great since then they both fit very well together. Klaus-Dieter Quote
Ras 74 Posted October 13, 2009 Posted October 13, 2009 That's still a few and besides, Slave 1 is a rumor and it could be CW. It is said that we will get Boosk with the Slave. Now I don´t know a lot about the EU, but in ESB they both appear. Quote
yellost Posted October 13, 2009 Posted October 13, 2009 It is said that we will get Boosk with the Slave. Now I don´t know a lot about the EU, but in ESB they both appear. But since Bossk is also going to be in season 2 of The Clone Wars, the possibility it'll be CW still remains... Although I don't think there's be any word of Boba Fett featuring in The Clone Wars... Quote
Penitent Tangent Posted October 13, 2009 Posted October 13, 2009 The Mandalorans will be in season 2, and it's heavily rumoured Boba Fett will be appearing. However, Vader, Leia and Han were also said to be in the sett along with Boba and Bosk and the chances of them appearing in Clone Wars is pretty slim. Quote

pedro Posted October 13, 2009 Posted October 13, 2009 Thanks for the new pic of the Luke's X-34 Navy Trooper Fenson. I think it's okay: the minifig selection is great if you don't own 'em already, the landspeeder itself is fine if you don't own any previous versions. The only thing that annoys me about this (and this seems to be a trend with much of LEGO's future releases) is the colour. Here was an opportunity to colour match it perfectly - earth orange is the best colour for it in my opinion - but alas an opportunity missed! Oh well, if it's cheap enough I might get it, but for the reasons above I don't feel I'll be missing out if I don't. Quote
Jar Jar Posted October 13, 2009 Posted October 13, 2009 (edited) Sorry, I'm just mad because I was expecting more sets of OT and PT than CW. I was hoping for a Jabba's Palace or a Geonosis Battle or somthin'. Edited October 13, 2009 by Jar Jar Quote
DarthSion Posted October 13, 2009 Posted October 13, 2009 Well 2 things. 1. There are still unannounced sets, i'm sure there will be stuff other than CW. 2. There will be more CW then movie sets, the clone wars is set to run for 5 years, and given lego can rehash sets in CW theme, there will be more CW. There will be more of other stuff in the coming years, I am certain lego will jump on with lots of EU sets when the new live action series is released. Quote
Darth Legolas Posted October 13, 2009 Posted October 13, 2009 Hasn't anyone notice that there are no OT sets besides the battle packs? Not sure about AT-AT but I don't think it's true. Well, people've already said, the landspeeder. And when Lego comes out with the rumored Wampa attack this summer... It is said that we will get Boosk with the Slave. Now I don´t know a lot about the EU, but in ESB they both appear. Bossk will be in CW season 2, but I agree, I want another OT Slave I. I know people desperately crave Jango's old ship, but personally I need Boba's. I had the one from 2006/7 (don't remember,) but I kind of....dropped it. As I said about Garindan before, I never didn't want him. I never said it would be stupid, I just said that there wasn't going to be. I would like it, even though the speeder's going to be way overpriced as it is, but there was no chance. Quote

It's not just you, but I've noticed that a bucketload of EB members want sets to be re-released because they've taken apart/dropped/broken in some other way their copies of the old versions. Personally, I find it very handy to keep the instruction booklet, as if you have an accident with your model you can make it again. Just like I did with my Naboo Starfighter when I dropped it. On topic I wonder what the Bossk minifigure will be like. Bossk is my favourite character so I'll buy the Slave I even if it is a load of rubbish. Quote

I'd be devastated if they gave him a rubber-ish head like Kit Fisto or Plo Koon. The heads suited well for the characters, but Bossk has a solid-ish head. I hate the plastic they use for the CW Yoda head. It's weird. Something like these two would be awesome! Quote
Pie108 Posted October 13, 2009 Posted October 13, 2009 (edited) I too find it handy to keep instruction booklets. I don't know if I want a Jango slave 1 or a Boba. They are both pretty essential and I don't have either. Jango is the main villian in Ep. 2 and Boba is pretty big in Ep. 5, 6 . Boba probably be in CW. And I think LEGO will have a big secret exclusive. I don't think it will be the AT-AT. I hope it's a PT set like Geonosis Droid Factory or Jedi Temple! Edited October 13, 2009 by Pie108 Quote
Jar Jar Posted October 13, 2009 Posted October 13, 2009 (edited) But why do they have to have more CW! CW is just stupid but I know the little kids like it. But I want more OT sets man. But how would they know that the summer '10 sets will be whatever. Like DarthSion said, " They are not announced." So why are you so sure peoples? BTW, those Bossk's look like deformed crocodiles, no offense to who made it. Edited October 13, 2009 by Jar Jar Quote

It's weird.I don't see why they would give him a rubber head, but knowing TLG's previous random acts of uselessness, it could happen. Just solid, hard plastic (Like you said, the Rodian head) would do great. The angle of his neck seems to be different in all customs, so I don't know how TLG would angle his neck. I can't wait for prelims of the Slave I. Quote

Standard, solid, and sturdy plastic for Lego. I love the Rodian head, so a Trandoshan better be great! But why do they have to have more CW! CW is just stupid but I know the little kids like it. Anyway, I myself am not to sure, but last year, look back nad see that the summer sets predicted came out 8/10 true, so... Also, it's worthless complaining about CW. Some of the sets come in quite handy, especially the RGS and AT-TE. They're also bringing in bucketloads of money. I myself am mainly buying OT sets, but some of the movie machine and characters are only released in CW form. Think about The Droid Gunship, for example. And the new Snail Tank, as weird as it is, is more accurate than the old one. If only the dang thing had eyes on poles. Edited October 13, 2009 by Darth Legolas Quote

ILikePi Posted October 14, 2009 Posted October 14, 2009 (edited) Thanks for the picture, Navy Trooper Fenson! The fact that it does not include Garindan (no idea what he does yet - I fought him in LEGO Star Wars II, but all he did was use a radio and call for backup, and I still have to watch all six movies ) does not disappoint me much because I figured that he would not be included in the first place because there are already enough figures, two of which were only included in very expensive sets before (C-3PO and Ben Kenobi). In my opinion, the black pauldron does not look as good as the orange-black combination. Also, if you look at this Wookieepedia entry about sandtroopers, you will notice that they wear orange-black ones. I wonder why LEGO would make the minifigure less accurate (unless black pauldron sandtroopers exist)? But why do you keep the boxes? They don't help you at all.Keeping boxes is, in my mind, keeping a part of the set. You can look at the box arts every now and then and enjoy the nice photo editing that LEGO has done to the set. Also, in some sets, the insets showing the features are not inside the booklet, so that is also another reason to keep the boxes of LEGO sets.Umm I know your new, but you need to calm down with your punctuation. You could use one "?" instead of 80. Much, much more to learn, you do as well, young Padawan. EDITed in order to save a post instead of making a new one to reply to CommanderFox: EDIT:ILikePi Garindan is a spy and in ep 4 he spys on Luke and Ben, then tells the sandtroopers where they are and which docking bay they are in Im glad you understand about the boxes Ahh, thanks for clarifying! I thought that he did something like spy on them, but was not completely sure on what he exactly did.EDIT: Forgot to give the link to the Wookieepedia entry! Edited October 14, 2009 by ILikePi Quote
