Cloney Posted October 14, 2009 Posted October 14, 2009 Picture removed: This is the clearest picture I've got so far Quote
Seijitai Posted October 14, 2009 Posted October 14, 2009 In my opinion, the black pauldron does not look as good as the orange-black combination. Also, if you look at this Wookieepedia entry about sandtroopers, you will notice that they wear orange-black ones. I wonder why LEGO would make the minifigure less accurate (unless black pauldron sandtroopers exist)? Black pauldrons are for enlisted, white for corporals and orange for officers... Lego is simply giving us bunch of sandtroopers officers since years... So I'm pretty happy about this one, even if I don't use that kind of pauldrons anymore... thanks to brickforge Here's a pic for you Quote
CommanderFox Posted October 14, 2009 Posted October 14, 2009 (edited) Umm Cloney I think your not allowed to show pics in this forum when they have the confidential stamp on them but are allowed to post the link to the pic I have that pic aswell, it's nice and clear but not a close up of the pilots Thanks for that imformation Seijitai...interesting..Oh well I guess my stormies (when I get them) will have to be enlisties CommanderFox Edited October 14, 2009 by CommanderFox Quote
RileyC Posted October 14, 2009 Posted October 14, 2009 Um Cloney You cannot do that because it has the confidential watermark on it an it that picture has not been released by lego yet. You may add the link to the photo but cannot deeplink it Quote
Ras 74 Posted October 14, 2009 Posted October 14, 2009 I removed the picture. Don´t know how many times we have to say this. It is good that several of you help out with this. Thanks! Quote
Ras 74 Posted October 14, 2009 Posted October 14, 2009 Sorry guys, I forgot about that.No problem. Don´t do it again But you are always welcome to post links to pictures. Look through this topic for instance to see that the pic or link you want to add is already not around. Back on topic... Quote
Pie108 Posted October 14, 2009 Posted October 14, 2009 (edited) In my opinion, the black pauldron does not look as good as the orange-black combination. I agree. The black one is kind of plain. But LEGO did release alot of orange ones so I can see some people wanting a new color. Edited October 14, 2009 by Pie108 Quote
pedro Posted October 14, 2009 Posted October 14, 2009 After another look at the new photo I'm thinking the black pauldron might be a new molded part. It looks like it's more accurate in shape and comes out an angle similar to the real thing. If you look at the Bricklink image here - or inspect your own minifig - you'll notice that the cloth pauldron hangs right down over the arm. Either way, I'm happy with a cloth pauldron, but if it is a molded part - and similar plastic to the clone accessories - I'd be a happy man Quote

Shun! Shun! Shun! The new black paudlren could be a molded piece. I really wanted an orange one, seeing as I don't have any. Just a bunch of regular stormies, gathered from all corner of the galaxy. starwarsfanatic Posted October 14, 2009 Posted October 14, 2009 You don't have any Stormies yet! Shun! Shun! Shun! Not everyone has been collecting SW for very long. I myself didn't get into Star Wars until early 2007, and didn't get any Stormies until summer last year. In fact I have no Imp. Officers. So don't make a particular mention to one person's lack of Stormies. And yes, I know you're being sarcastic. Quote
KimT Posted October 14, 2009 Author Posted October 14, 2009 "Don't make me bring out the whip!" Enough of the off-topic chatter people, this topic is for discussing rumors and pictures. Not who said what to who or "oh!"... I'd love a molded pauldron, not for Star Wars, but most surely for Castle related stuff. There's a lot of great pauldron makers out there if you guys need to get some in different colours. I've updated the first post with the amazon.com info on the 2010 January wave of sets. Quote

So is a corporal or an officer a higher rank? I currently have two sandtrooper officers from the Imperial Landing Craft set. I for one would like the pauldron to be a cloth piece, so that the enlisted/rookie sandtrooper in the landspeeder set will fit in with the other sandtroopers in the past. ...I myself didn't get into Star Wars until early 2007... Me too (that is, if you are referring to LEGO Star Wars, not just Star Wars in general)! Quote

prof1515 Posted October 14, 2009 Posted October 14, 2009 So is a corporal or an officer a higher rank? Corporals are enlisted ranks above privates and below sergeants. Officers outrank enlisted soldiers. Quote

Darth Legolas Posted October 15, 2009 Posted October 15, 2009 I'm going to say right off the bat, the brickmaster books have nothing to do with Brickmaster magazine! When the pirate and castle books came out, people were so foolish blabbing about how they couldn't get them because they were US only. Clearly these books will be European-available, and will contain instructions and 300 some pieces to build different models. Usually they come with a minifig or two. It was a horrible idea for Lego to call those books brickmaster anyway. Are they trying to confuse people? Quote
JCC1004 Posted October 15, 2009 Posted October 15, 2009 Ahh very cool, another great book for my collecttion! I'll probably be CW. If not it'll make a fine addition to my collection. Quote
