Ras 74 Posted October 15, 2009 Posted October 15, 2009 Sounds good. Wonder if it will contain another exclusive minifig? 32 pages sounds very little though... Quote

CommanderFox Posted October 16, 2009 Posted October 16, 2009 (edited) Amazon Germany now lists a new book from DK calledLEGO Brickmast Star Wars It is supposed to be released on 16.8.2010, has 32 pages and costs 17,99 Edited October 16, 2009 by CommanderFox Quote
ILikePi Posted October 16, 2009 Posted October 16, 2009 (edited) Wow, that sounds very interesting! The Pirates and Castle ones had some very cool mini-models. I can't wait to see what this one turns out to be like! ...and will contain instructions and 300 some pieces to build different models. Usually they come with a minifig or two.Acutally, they only contain about 140 or so pieces, and exactly two minifigs. Sounds good. Wonder if it will contain another exclusive minifig?32 pages sounds very little though... I wouldn't count on it. If it is CW, it'll probably just have a clone trooper and battle droid. If it's OT, probably a stormtrooper and Rebel trooper. And the 32 pages are just the instructions. I hope it has bricks and figs like the other Brickmaster sets.Anyways, I've just preordered 5 of them Anything on piece count KimT? Also what is the price for US? Then I can get a rough idea for the price in NZ. Like I said above, the piece count will be about 140 pieces. It's not on Amazon USA yet, so you'll just have to wait. However, the normal prices for the Pirates and Castle Brickmaster books are $25 USD (currently on sale for $16.49), so I expect that this one will be, too. Wow, four winks in one post! RileyC Posted October 16, 2009 Posted October 16, 2009 Oooh another book . I really wonder how much you can make with 140 pieces thats not from EU. I dont think I will buy this book if it doesnt include cool minifigs or good designs Quote
CloneCommanderDelta7 Posted October 16, 2009 Posted October 16, 2009 With pneumatics back in technic, it may be interesting to see if we (or TLG) could make walkers out of those air pumps. Sounds interesting! I am sick of those books! But that is entirely my opinion. Are the books just exclusives for Amazon or are they available in stores like Target, Kmart, Toys R Us or Dymocks. Or is it in that silly Wal-Mart where you Americans seem to really like (sorry, but I just don't like Wal-Marts) Quote
Klaus-Dieter Posted October 16, 2009 Posted October 16, 2009 Thank you very much for this information, Navy Trooper Fenson! I'll wait til I know what's included before I'll order it since some of the BM sets until now were good but some even bad. So let's see. Klaus-Dieter Quote
KimT Posted October 16, 2009 Author Posted October 16, 2009 Amazon Germany now lists a new book from DK calledLEGO Brickmast Star Wars ... Yeah thanks Navy Trooper Fenson. That find made my day and ripped a hole in my VISA Card I've added the amazon.co.uk link to the first post, but given the size of Germany and the fact that you found this for us,I'll add the .de link as well. Good job A little late on frontpaging, but still it's done now. Quote
drdavewatford Posted October 16, 2009 Posted October 16, 2009 Thanks for the tip, guys. A little more digging has uncovered a Brickmaster City Set ! Brickmaster City I also just picked up the Pirate and Castle sets for around £10 each plus free postage. While I don't really don't collect those themes, you really can't go far for a tenner each ! Cheers, Dr. D. Quote
Sajer Posted October 16, 2009 Posted October 16, 2009 Thanks for the news drdavewatford and Navy Trooper Fenson! Its really exciting as some of the current Brickmaster sets are good but I don't think i'll be able to get them. The pirate and castle sets already cost Fifty dollars here in Singapore and the price per brick is not worth it despite the many building possibilities offered. Quote
starwarsfanatic Posted October 16, 2009 Posted October 16, 2009 I meant LEGO Star Wars. Anyways, I'll probably be getting that BrickMaster set. Quote
Eskallon Posted October 16, 2009 Posted October 16, 2009 Sounds a little interesting but why is everyone so excited when it is nearly a year till it comes out? We dont even know what it looks like. Quote

Forresto Posted October 16, 2009 Posted October 16, 2009 Or is it in that silly Wal-Mart where you Americans seem to really like (sorry, but I just don't like Wal-Marts) I........Hate.........WALMARTS. They are evil . Sorry but I hate it when us americans are stereyotyped like that, especially since are nation's image has been pretty harmed with the bush regime. It's fine though. Let's get back on topic. One thing I don't get is we don't even know what this brickmaster looks like, so is it worth it? I'm just wondering because it might just have like a clone and a battle droid, you never know. Quote

The book won't just have two minifigures. It's guaranteed because the "book" is actually just a hardcover instruction manual, as far as I know, and it comes with a $20 some pieces, though since it's liscensed and Star Wars, it'll probably have a few more and better pieces, and a definite raise in price. Simple Lego Star Wars rule of thumb: Actual worth of set + $20 = Set price! But let's not make this into a price rant, I'm just trying to add up how many pieces it will be. It could also be full of mini's. That would make a lot of sense. Edited October 17, 2009 by Darth Legolas Quote
The Who Posted October 16, 2009 Posted October 16, 2009 It was the ARC pic that we have already seen. Oh. Thanks, glad I didn't miss anything important.Anyways, I've just preordered 5 of them Seriously? And you have no idea what it looks like, how useful the info in it is, or how crappy the part variety may be?Acutally, they only contain about 140 or so pieces, and exactly two minifigs. What's with all the winking? Do you know something you are not telling us? especially since are nation's image has been pretty harmed with the bush regime. It's fine though. Our is spelled O-U-R. And do not bring politics in to this. Well, I don't want to post my political views, but I will say you pretty much summed up that Bush made people think we like Wal-Marts. Please, no politics. Quote
Inconspicuous Posted October 16, 2009 Posted October 16, 2009 You've all been speculating about Walmart and price rants. Why isn't there more discussion about what it will actually contain? I have a feeling that one of the minifigs will be a Clone Trooper, but who knows about the other? I sure hope it isn't another Battle Droid. The only reason why I'd want another plain one is if it came with an STAP, and that's very unlikely because Separatist blue isn't the ideal color for making a bunch of alternate models. I highly doubt they'd include a Jedi or new fig. What are your thoughts? Quote
RocketClone Posted October 16, 2009 Posted October 16, 2009 I am sick of those books! But that is entirely my opinion. Are the books just exclusives for Amazon or are they availablein stores like Target, Kmart, Toys R Us or Dymocks. OK now how have you seen the books at target i cant find them there! Now back on topic i think the book will include: 1 book 150+ pieces 2 minifigures (1 clone 1 droid)a CIS tower and probaly one of those mirror walkers and a STAP. Quote
Fumoffu Posted October 17, 2009 Posted October 17, 2009 Seriously? And you have no idea what it looks like, how useful the info in it is, or how crappy the part variety may be? I can sense ... a competition coming up ... with Lego Star Wars Brickmaster as price ... only the winner has to wait months before the price will be available. Anyway to get back on topic I suspect a couple of minifigures and instructions & bricks to build a number of minis will make sense. Quote
Torax Posted October 17, 2009 Posted October 17, 2009 Amazon Germany now lists a new book from DK calledLEGO Brickmast Star Wars It is supposed to be released on 16.8.2010, has 32 pages and costs 17,99€. The book is also the english version, so I assume the same date or a few days before for US/UK. http://www.amazon.de/LEGO-Brickmast-Star-W...6046&sr=1-2 I assume that LEGO is going to make a Brickmaster book in the same style of the Pirates and Castle BM books. Sounds interesting. Sounds interesting indeed. My only inquiry about this is; can I only buy it from Amazon.com? Or will they be available in regular bookstores as well? (bookstores in Australia, that is.) Either way, I'm hopefully going to get it one way or another, and it seems awesome! Quote

Thats excactly what I was going to post I don't think the BrickMaster book will come with a clone and a droid, Im hoping for an exclusive fig, or a new one that we haven't seen before CommanderFox Quote
Eskallon Posted October 17, 2009 Posted October 17, 2009 Guys think, the book is aimed at children and children always dream of having a huge battle like on the shows so what are lego gunna use for figs, obviously a droid and clone. Not many kids know what a mandalorian is or what han and lei's(however you spell the princesses name) kids look like Quote
