SWMAN Posted November 18, 2009 Posted November 18, 2009 All I have to say is that I am glad the OT is still making appearances in the waves. I was afraid the CW was going to take over. Quote

Wont be long before those animated series reach OT. If they're already approachin EPIII, then IV isn't that far, is it? The question remains wether or not they can transfer Anakin's popularity to his son? Damn that CTT is awesome, and the wheels as mentioned by Ras isn't all that's cool about it (yes, I am teasing, I know ) Quote

They shouldn't be dabbling into Lukes life since he is no where near alive during the Clone Wars. Quote

danielwerner Posted November 18, 2009 Posted November 18, 2009 Any news about the new AT-AT? How confirmed is it? Sorry if there aren't any recent new, I'm just so DAMN excited about it. Even $600 wouldn't stop me from buying it, if the pricing were so. Quote

They shouldn't be dabbling into Lukes life since he is no where near alive during the Clone Wars. But there is a live action series that's supposed to bridge the gap between Ep III and VI. So when that one will air, OT designs are bound to make a big come back I heard it's due somewhere between the end of next year and two years from now or something... Quote

Even $600 wouldn't stop me from buying it, if the pricing were so. It's not confirmed. Now I've seen pics of the sets listed in the first post, all but the AT-AT. It could be a secret set - TLG has succeeded in launching sets before without us knowing what hit us Quote

How long does LEGO still hold the rights to producing Star Wars sets, though? I'm assuming they'll renew again anyway, but if they don't, they might miss that series entirely! Quote

True but the TV series is not suppose to really be about any of the current main characters, it's suppose to be about a bunch of characters that didn't play as big of a role in the movies. Plus that wouldn't be CW then, it's be whatever he calls it for taking place inbetween 3 and 4. Quote

Will we get a new Grievous minifigure in that set, or it will be a modification of the old one? Edited November 18, 2009 by Nute Gunray Quote

ADHO15 Posted November 18, 2009 Posted November 18, 2009 And what about General Grievous starfighter? Will we get a new Grievous minifigure in that set, or it will be a modification of the old one? KimT has 'hinted heavily' that there will be a new Grievous. Yiou have seen pics of the summer wave???? He and Ras have definitely seen pics. Thats what we were discussing before the new Amazon pics showed up: the CTT and others. Quote
filip skywalker Posted November 18, 2009 Posted November 18, 2009 He and Ras have definitely seen pics. Thats what we were discussing before the new Amazon pics showed up: the CTT and others. I meant Plo's fighter and Palpys shuttle, haven't heard a lot about those... Quote
Commander Assassin Posted November 18, 2009 Posted November 18, 2009 TLG has succeeded in launching sets before without us knowing what hit us Yup. The AT-OT and Dropship. We never saw it coming until the Toy Fair. Anyways, I agree with most everyone here: The Defender is an epic fail for TLG. The Freeco looks okay, but I would have liked the talz without a little hole at the top of the head to fit on the head dress. However, the Tri- Fighter looks pretty good with the yellow printed commander, and it has a wonderful price/piece ratio. The ARC still looks great, but is it confirmed yet that the visors are printed? Also, does anyone know what the difference is between Jag and the Clone Pilot? Quote
filip skywalker Posted November 18, 2009 Posted November 18, 2009 does anyone know what the difference is between Jag and the Clone Pilot? His helmet is blue, not black, he might also have a different head. (In case of double printed head for helmet removal). Quote

We never saw it coming until the Toy Fair. Very true. Also, does anyone know what the difference is between Jag and the Clone Pilot? Clone Pilot & Jag Edited November 18, 2009 by ADHO15 Quote

Like Big Cam I think it ends beforeEpisode 3, but maybe we will get some new series after the Clone Wars, something between the trilogys. Quote
starwarsfanatic Posted November 18, 2009 Posted November 18, 2009 I thought the new sets looked good enough with the prelims, but the new 'official' pictures look even better. However, the Freeco Speeder looks somewhat smaller and the TIE Defender positively feeble. Quote
Destroydacre Posted November 18, 2009 Posted November 18, 2009 Anyone know if the Tie-Defender comes with a stand to display it on like the first Tie-Fighter did? Just having the defender sitting on its wings would look kind of awkward IMO. Quote

RileyC Posted November 19, 2009 Posted November 19, 2009 Has anyone noticed that the top banner on the new box design has different patterns in the background? I wonder if that has anything to do with what movie they are in or is it just a coninsidence? Yea we havent really heard anything about plo koon's starfighter and the emperor's shuttle. I think they sound the medium sets in next years waves in my opinion. Quote
Inconspicuous Posted November 19, 2009 Posted November 19, 2009 Wow! Everything looks great. I'll probably pick up the ARC and the Freeco. Is it just me or is that a chrome hilt I spy in the Freeco? Quote

It think its just the new metallic ones that they have been using for the past year. I think they are better than the chrome ones anyway Quote
