Big Cam Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 ^^^^ Interesting but very small and looks like they are made out of exiting sets. Great find though. Quote
prateek Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 I like the speeder bike but the STAP has nothig special and the walker is kinda redundant for the clones. It's smaller than the fig itself Quote
Commander_Rob Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 (edited) Looking very cool but being promos, I guess they will be/were available to only about five people in the whole world. Edited September 1, 2009 by Commander_Rob Quote
ILikePi Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 Nice find whung! The STAP looks just like the one from the AT-TE, except there there's no sticker. The Imperial speeder bike is weird... And the Clone walker looks really cool for something that small. I hope that these become available in the US (and many other countries)! Quote
Spyder Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 I doubt these will be publicly available, these are just like those 2008 Castle promos. Quote
Snol Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 Strange they used a Stromtrooper instead of a Scout on the small Speederbike, otherwise funny sets and I believe good promo-sets. Good find ! About Slave I, what was the description again from the fan-choice last year? I first thought it to be a midi-scale just like the new Falcon, when I saw the Quest for R2 thingie I started hoping for a improved minifig scale one with a new carbon Han Quote
Oky Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 These promos look pretty good. The STAP would make for an awesome army building impulse set, the Imp speeder looks strange, but still kinda neat, and the clone walker, even though strangely proportioned, looks very cute. I hope these will be relatively easily available, or at least be offered as contest prizes here on EB at some point! Quote
brickme Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 I have a feeling I am going to find these in targets halloween or easter shelves again. Quote
Captain REX Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 These 3 sets are a meh for me. But why dont they have a rebel one? Quote
CDC Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 Man, i hate these promo sets. They wont be available here in Europe Quote
Deinonychus Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 I guess they will be/were available to only about five people in the whole world. That's the funniest thing I've read on here in months At least there are instructions so we can hack these things out of parts we already have on-hand. Quote
KimT Posted September 1, 2009 Author Posted September 1, 2009 They make promos and you guys whine? What's up with that? Why not just be happy that they're making them. Quote
Darth Legolas Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 Where are these to be released? The STAP could come in handy, the Speederbike is actually pretty cool-looking. Sorry to Klaus-Dieter, your hopes are lost. The Clone Walker is just terrible though! I don't understand. Lego's already got enough clones out there, and to put in 6 pieces? What the heck? Quote
-JD- Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 Neat promos, especially for parts. My favourite is the STAP, but the Clone Walker is a close second. I really hope these are in the EU and not just in the US. I think Navy Trooper Fenson's friend's recreation is very accurate now. Shame. Quote
Raphy Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 congrats, Whung! Awesome find is awesome. ;D I bet they will be available for about five poeple worldwide. :/ also, that walker is cute. It's really cool, why is everyone whinin' about it? :p At the risk of being tied and burned on a pole, I like this walker more than its 10$ battlepack counterpart. Quote
pedro Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 Nice find whung! I'd like to know if, when and where these will be available! The STAP set is well suited to being available in a promotional set and would make a great army builder. The other sets are interesting enough but obviously won't be anything amazing because of the parts count; however there appears to be some very useful parts there. Why not just be happy that they're making them. Some people are never happy Quote
Bobskink Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 Sory to ask, but I'm reading lots of diferent things here and can't find it in the starting post. So to be sure, what's up with the promo sets? What do we know for real, what is peulation. I would just like to know if they will be available in Europo on a normal scale, since I want lots of them, small cheap sets are cool. Quote

We don't know anything yet, theose images were just found on LEGO's cache. Judging from the set's at the bottom of each instruction page, maybe you need those set's to build the promo ones?? Then again the fig's don't match up. Quote
LEGOscum Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 I doubt these will be publicly available, these are just like those 2008 Castle promos. Want to put money on your statement? Man, i hate these promo sets. They wont be available here in Europe Quit your whining. You don't know anything about them and already you (and others) are moaning that you won't get a chance to own them. Why don't you all just show a little patience? Quote

Ah so that sounds like good news from a man in the know! Any idea when we will see them jeremy if you can answer that of course. Can't wait to get my hands on your book in a few weeks! Why don't you all just show a little patience? In his and others there defense, promo sets are almost never available in Europe, so I can understand the frustration. With promo sets like this you don't want one, but lots and at a normal price. Not bought from some oversea's fella who sells them with lots of profit. But you are right, it seems we don't know anything about them yet. Anybody has an idea what the type of numbering means? 300004, 300005, 300006 Quote
Darth Legolas Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 (edited) You know, comparing the two, the speeder is a whole lot cooler than the one Navy's friend made! I'm sorry, but I love the sloping down front brown knight's leg armor piece, and the front guns look much better! I have a feeling these will be available sets. It's been 2 years since Lego made random mini sets that were never released but instructions were given. I think they've learned their lesson! That makes me (off topic-ly) wonder, why did Lego never make those mini sets! I mean, I built the Snowspeeder for my self and I love it! Trillions of people woulda bought that! But yeah, just like those Target Easter exclusives maybe these will be for halloween. I'd love that! But of course, these have to be world-wide... My list: STAPX2 SpeederX4 WalkerX1 Edit: Great news everybody! If you're like me and dreadfully hate PDF documents, I have them on MS paint! Edited September 1, 2009 by Darth Legolas Quote
Derek Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 I have a feeling I am going to find these in targets halloween or easter shelves again. I'm thinking Christmas, if anything. It seemed the Easter mini's sold well, and they were reasonably priced. If they release these as stocking stuffers, I just might pee my pants. If they are available at Target, I would buy a bunch of the Clones and Droids (I love the walker and STAP itself, and I could always use the figures) I might only get one or two of the speeder though, because its just kinda ugly. Castle axes? They make promos and you guys whine? What's up with that? Why not just be happy that they're making them. I'm glad they are making them, I'm just not too happy that there's a chance I'll never get them! Lego can be such a tease at times! -darthperson Quote
Skipper 24 Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 Hmm. The promos are not bad I guess but could be better. The speeder I am still fairly disappointed with. The Clone walker is my favourite out of the 3. And as for the STAP, well we've seen it before so not really too special. Quote

Why don't you all just show a little patience? See this... This is Jessica Alba. A woman I would very much like to sleep with, but I never will because she'll never be made available to me. That fact makes me sad, sad enough to lament publicly about not being able to have her. Same thing with cool little LEGO promos, be they Power Miners, or Star Wars, or Castle. Experience tells me that the vast majority of LEGO promos will either not be available to me, or will be such a pain to acquire that they won't be worth it. That makes the raptor sad Quote
