Big Cam Posted November 23, 2009 Posted November 23, 2009 Except 'A New Hope'. He did not make a physical appearance but his character was referred to. Quote
ADHO15 Posted November 23, 2009 Posted November 23, 2009 (edited) He did not make a physical appearance but his character was referred to. Fine, but he wasn't 'in it' or named. I'm looking forward to him. I only have the old yellow one. I hope its not the same as the Death Star one. If it's just the three figs in the shuttle, though, I won't bother. strider406 Posted November 23, 2009 Posted November 23, 2009 (edited) Maybe a bothan? CommanderFox I'll mention this again I don't think it's a new piece we haven't seen, his visor is just pulled down. Edited November 23, 2009 by strider406 Quote
Darth Legolas Posted November 24, 2009 Posted November 24, 2009 (edited) I actually think those heads are going to be used for the new hoth rebels. And I actually think that so many people have said that before and so many others have said they're both! Really, they're going to be the same head. Just face up, CW doesn't have to be everything. Look, the ARC has NOT been seen in CW, and it won't for a while Lego wants to make it, but they can't use the CW label because these are Phase II troopers. The same way Palpatine's shuttle is said to be ROTS. It's not in the Clone Wars. Edited November 25, 2009 by Darth Legolas Quote
RileyC Posted November 24, 2009 Posted November 24, 2009 oooh I like the looks of them heads ! I really like the chin strap its just in the right place and I also don't mind them being used for the bp as well it looks like it could fit in. I am more inclined to believe Ras and Kim than Sok117 for info on upcoming sets because of their status in these forums. I really like how lego's focus isn't really on clone wars this year but rather film anniversaries which is really good. How many of this years sets are actually clone wars? Quote
YG-49 Posted November 24, 2009 Posted November 24, 2009 Except 'A New Hope'. I thought he appeared in hologram? If the far back rebel has his visor pulled down then it looks very awkward.... Quote

How many of this years sets are actually clone wars? About 13 sets this year are from the clone wars. 1) Corporate Alliance Droid 2) Ahsoka's Starfighter and Droids 3) Count Dooku's Solar Sailer 4) Pirate Tank 5) Clone Walker Battle Pack 6) Assassin Droids Battle Pack 7) Hyena Droid Bomber 8) Armored Assault Tank (AAT) 9) Republic Attack Shuttle 10) Separatist's Shuttle 11) Anakin's Y-Wing Starfighter 12) Republic Cruiser "Venator" 13) Republic Dropship and AT-OT In my opinion that is too much. CommanderFox Posted November 24, 2009 Posted November 24, 2009 (edited) Cloney, I think Roncanator was meaning how many sets from Next year, are CW. The new heads are really nice imo! The chin strap and the printed orange looks very cool! CommanderFox Edited November 24, 2009 by CommanderFox Quote
ADHO15 Posted November 24, 2009 Posted November 24, 2009 I actually think those heads are going to be used for the new hoth rebels. Not the rebel soldiers, just the new pilots (from the BP and 'Wampa Cave'). I thought he appeared in hologram? That was in ESB. Quote

It's just so close to the new year that it is pretty much this year anyway. Quote

I guess it is basically next year. I think for 2010 there are about 5 or 6. Im so glad it isn't 13 like the 2009 sets! Quote

And that's why your not in marketing. LEGO knows that kid's are watching the CW series, so it's pretty straight forward that they make the majority of their sets CW sets, since kid's will tell their mom's to buy them what they see on TV. I personally wish there were not so many CW sets, but I understand why there are so many. I'm just grateful for a great set like the Battle of Endor this year. Quote

I'm just grateful for a great set like the Battle of Endor this year.Me too, but I actually like most of them! Of course, the OT sets are far better (Tantive IV, Home One, Endor, Echo Base), but the CW sets are not that bad IMO. The faces don't bother me, as it is always good to get new prints - no matter how weird they look - and most sets are fairly well designed, especially the Republic Dropship. The only ones I don't like very much are Ahsoka's Starfighter (overpriced), the Hyena Bomber (inaccurate), and the Solar Sailer (overpriced). So what I have to say is that this marketing scheme is working very well. I am just above the target age of most of the sets (the first year of a TFOL), and these sets interest me very much (although, as I said before, I will always take more OT sets over CW/PT). starwarsfanatic Posted November 24, 2009 Posted November 24, 2009 Cad Bane is a bounty hunter from the Clone Wars series. Not that much of a 'star wars fanatic'. However, I've seen two CW episodes and neither of them featured a bounty hunter of any description, unless that Onaconda Farr could be counted as one. Quote

Corvus Posted November 24, 2009 Posted November 24, 2009 Currently he's only in three episodes, the first season finale and the first two episodes of season 2. He's in four- first season finale, and the first three episodes of season 2.(Unless you were counting the first two as one, because they were shown together) He'll also be showing up more in season 2- remember, we haven't seen Bossk yet. So, he's set to be a major character. The problem is, there wouldn't be any room for him to show up in his own set, unless it's something TLC is keeping secret, which means it could be a big set. I just hope it won't be his rediculously ugly ship. Quote

Also, don't forget Embo and Sugi, who are also set to be major bounty hunters too. Embo Sugi Edited November 24, 2009 by ILikePi Quote

Lego just when 'go with the flow', popular TV show equals big toy bucks. Just ask Haspro ! I'm a fan of Clone Wars and I don't have a problem with too many sets, but true I'd love to see more from A New Hope, Empire Strikes Back and of Return Of The Jedi as they are some of the my favorite films of all time. Not so into PM, AOC or ROTS as much. On Cad Bane, I really want this character as part of set next year. He would be a cool minifig, maybe Lego may release the bounty hunters as a set like a battle pack, of course it will be much dearer than a normal battle pack. Lego are not stupid. Quote
sok117 Posted November 24, 2009 Posted November 24, 2009 (edited) On the topic of cad bane, I think that if Lego is going to produce a figure of him, but it probably won't be until 2011. It looks like 2011 CW sets are still going to be revolving around the first season of the CW like the frecco speeder and CTT Edited November 24, 2009 by sok117 Quote

Plus, Kim and Ras have said there'll be a fig of him in 2010, possibly with Grievous' fighter. That's the news so far. Quote
