The heck we do

Normally everything is launched in the US before the rest of the World.

Wait and see - you'll have it as a surprise on Dec 1st - at least that's my guess.

 Even if we did, all of the stores would be sold out until January anyway, so it's hardly any difference.
It looks like the Rebel in the far back does actually have a different helmet! :oh:
I have to say I agree with Natman8000 here, I'm pretty sure it is just the hat with the visor put down.
Do you know something?
Of course, otherwise he would not be a Mod, would he?
Right. The only reason not getting a Barriss is of last minute changes. But I hold it for unlikley.
So...You're saying that we are getting a Barriss fig, right?

Yes. People have to stop thinking about another new helmet, it's just not happening. It's just to display the two helmet modes, visors up and down, which we can clearly see in the picture from thr Visual Dictionary.

Great find my padawan, I tought you well :vader:

So looking forward to the release in January December the 17th!!

I'm not following this whole discussion, I'm just here for the pics, but will they really be released before the end of the year?

BTW, the Rebel troopers also seem to have a whole new design and new torso print aswell. I'm not sure if I'm really happy with this. They were cool from the start and I think that now the new ones will be difficult to intermingle with the old ones. Lego seems to change a lot these days.

Thanks for the new pics Future 74. The BP vehicles actually look fairly well designed this year. The new rebel helmet look fairly nice, so does the imperial commander torso, just how Veers should've looked.

The ARC looks really smooth and has a lot of nice curves. I assume those cockpits are printed? Other new stuff, looking good .

Now on the battlepacks.

It all makes sense now, the picture of the minifig heads being for the rebel battlepack. The printed orange visor would be in real life to cut the glare off of the white snow, as it might reflect the sun's rays into the pilot's helmet. :classic:

Now on the ARC-170.

I'm back saying CW not ROTS - I think kids are more interested at the moment in the Clone Wars on TV than ROTS. But good old NH, ESB and ROTJ kids love too, because of Han, Luke and Mr. Vadar. As there can be a bridge built between child and parent, a thirty year bridge and they can both enjoy Lego Star Wars together. :classic:

Thanks for the pictures, KimT and Future 74.

Well, I'm certain now: I'll only be buying the batte packs (two of the Snowtrooper one perhaps) and the ARC-170.

I still want some more snowtroopers, and the ARC gives me a nice next chance at Kit Fisto and the pilots and the astromech droid look cool too.

Besides, I never got the previous ARC as well..

Of course, the "I'll only be buying the..." part only refers to this wave, because so far the shuttle with Palpatine in it (I don't really care who else comes with it) sounds really interesting too :sweet:

Thanks again for the pics, and let's hope some new ones will arrive very soon :cry_happy:

Greetings,

Nice pics! Good to see that the Rebel commander has a brown mustache.

So, uhm, will these really be out on the 17th? Is that for certain? If good old Ras says so, it must be true! :cry_happy:

The pilots in the ARC have dot eyes.DOT EYES!!!!!

And they would have made a new Kit Fisto for CW anyway.

Thanks for the new pics, that's what I like to come to this topic to find.

I think that whoever set up the Rebel BP might've done it wrong, since I get the feeling that Darlin should be the one with the dark tan pants and the different Hoth Rebel torso, since the other two Hoth Rebel torsos are the old kind. I also find it strange that LEGO seems to have altered the Rebel Pilot torso. Sure, I guess in the movies the pilots wear those box things on their chests, but LEGO never seemed to care before. I wonder if this will always be the pilot torso now, or perhaps just for Rebel pilots on Hoth.

So, ADHO, what Rebel pilot does that helmet belong to?

Accualty, that's two new Rebel torsos and 1 old one. But I do think that Darlin should get one of the new Rebel torsos.....

Thank you very much for these new pics, Future74! :classic:

These two BPs look really  !

It's great that TLG this time even thought about giving us a Hoth Rebel Captain minifigure and a real Snowtrooper Commander minifig!

These are definately the best BPs (we've seen until now)! Great job, TLG!

He was referring to Filip Skywalker's post further back where he posted that the sets will be available in Sweden and Denmark from the 17th of December. No one knows for sure when the rest of the world will get them but the US will probably get them before us

can anyone tell from new pics if the hothtroopers are same as 7749 ?

From what I can tell, two of the Hothtroopers have a new torso, while the one with the mustache (Darlin) has the torso that appeared in 7749 and all previous sets.

I find it kind of strange that LEGO is giving us four different figures in the Hoth battlepack. This will create quite a diverse army for this people buying hordes of them, ant not lead to the stock continuity that a set like the last Rebel battlepack provided, which armybuilders may like. I don't know, though, since I'm not an army builder, but it seems that others here are disappointed that all of the rebels in this set are different from each other and from previous Hoth rebels. I think I like the variety provided in the original Clone battlepack, which is still my favorite: three different figures, with two of the same plain guy. Four of the same in the last Rebel battlepack was too many of the same figure for me, while four different figures is a little too much variety in a battlepack.

You brighten up my day when you direct your SW questions at me.

It looks to me like it's supposed to be Zev Senesca, a rebel pilot that was seen a couple of times on Hoth in ESB. He was the one who found Han and Luke and he also flew a T-47 in the Battle of Hoth, if I'm not mistaken. His helmet seems to match the one on the minifigure.

Glad I could help. :classic:

as already stated looks like subtle changes to the rebel troopers :hmpf_bad:

It seems that armies of generic troops will be difficult to come by nowadays. Each rebel has a different face and different legs, and two of them have a new torso, where 'Bren Derlin' kept the old one. I have a small range of the different Hoth rebels, so it doesn't bother me.

If you're referring to the snowtroopers, I cannot see a difference. They may just be the same as everything else has changed, or they may change too.

Curse the high res pictures! They look so good now I want them all. The ARC-170 looks amazing.

That said, I don't think the BP pilots and troopers are supposed to be any named trooper. I'm sure plenty of rebels had moustaches on Hoth, and the pilot helmet I think is supposed to be a generic design (short of TLG releasing simple Blue rebel insignia version). I love all the different rebel helmets and pilots we've been getting, it allows one to build a varied Rogue Squadron or whatever.

The Rebel set is awesome! I love the pilot's helmet. I like the new pilot and trooper print. I'm not sure if I like the varying outfits though. :sceptic: At least we get all different heads for once! :cry_happy: It ice cutter is smaller than I thought. At least it's cannon unlike the Imperial Crapship as Shadows calls it. Only if I had 7666 for it be be with. I'm not sure why Derlin gets to keep the old torso. I am wondering if TLG have Derlin dotted eyes. It is strange how TLG changed their arms and legs making them less movie accurate. :hmpf: Oh well. I'll still be getting it. It should grow on me. It's a Rebellion set! I love the Rebels!

Most likely to keep the skin around their nose and mouth warm.

BTW where did Future 74 find those hi res pics?

Im curious to know, because they might show the other sets pics there first aswell!

 One of the rebels has a Starkiller head! I think the middle one has a NEW head too! And every one of them has a new torso except Bren! :cry_happy: The front of the Cutter has a Storage Box too! :sweet:

I love the new torso on the Imperial Commander, and does it really matter if he has a bley helmet? The Pilot helmet is still too big..

The Talz looks easily moddable, for those of you that want a normal one.

How so? Looks like one piece to me. If you want to mod it, you'll have to saw parts off, and that'll look  . I do hope you're right though. It would be nice if at least the feather piece is removable.

But yeah, that Rebel BP looks better every time I look at it too.
