YG-49 Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 How so? Looks like one piece to me. If you want to mod it, you'll have to saw parts off, and that'll look Yeah, I said mod. It's easily moddable because there are no little details around the feather, so you if you sand it when it's cut off, you don't have to be very precise. Quote
filip skywalker Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 (edited) He was referring to Filip Skywalker's post further back where he posted that the sets will be available in Sweden and Denmark from the 17th of December. No one knows for sure when the rest of the world will get them but the US will probably get them before us "How could you even say so?!" - Padmé, ROTS... I'm going to, convince my parents to do some late gift shopping! I must have those BPs and ROTS sets! EDIT: Fixed a spelling mistake. Edited November 30, 2009 by filip skywalker Quote

Yes Christmas sales would be an ideal time to get afew of the sets quickly! About the Rebels all being different. Im fine with it, it's nice, but I would prefer having the figs like the imperial BP, a commander, a pilot and two troopers identical. CommanderFox Quote

The Imperial one has Veers, the Rebel has Derlin. One has an Imperial pilot, one has a Rebel pilot. The Imperial has two Snowtroopers, and the Rebel has two Hoth Troopers. Quote

Swash Buckler Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 17th december Scandinavia ?! Yay i live in Finland and i can get those for christmas - if they come in the shops before that . It is good to live here because i can get little sets faster but some big good sets like Endor battle is almost impossible to find here - i hope that my order will arrive soon- how can i have a fun christmas without it? Big Cam Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 Finally clear pictures of these sets, now hopefully people will stop ranting on about another new helmet. That freeco speeder is looking better and better, I can't wait for that se to come out along with the battlepacks. Quote
Anio Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 (edited) Something interesting for the MOCers : the new tile 2x4. :) edit : actually, it is not a new part. Sorry. Edited December 1, 2009 by Anio Quote

The Imperial has two Snowtroopers, and the Rebel has two Hoth Troopers. Well, looks like I might be half right, the Imperial officer might be Veers. Just checked out his photo in Hoth battle uniform and it's pretty close. Oh, yeah now Derlin, I guess that could be a moe above his mouth. Well I'm getting one of each plus Wampa Attack to join Echo Base and TRU Hoth Base in my Star Wars collection. Hey, folks just found this; It' from Kubrick - the pilot in the front is Wedge. Now those dark markings on the BP rebel pilot helmet look a lot like his. So could I be right, I wrote a few weeks ago that Veers and Wedge could be in these packs, but lots of people said no characters get put into BP's. Well we'll just wait and see the first reviews, then we'll all know who these minifigs are. Quote
JCC1004 Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 Now those dark markings on the BP rebel pilot helmet look a lot like his. TLG already made a Wedge helmet. TLG wouldn't make another helmet. The older one is very accurate. Click the link. I'm getting the dynaic page error. Quote

I'm getting the dynaic page error. All I was saying it that Wedges helmet looks alot like the one on the pilot in the above picture. The dark grey trim, small side markings and a dark strip on the crest of the helmet, it could be Wedges. Although it could be along to another rebel pilot, but remember in ESB these facts; 1. Veers is in the AT-AT receiving orders from Vader, so if he's out in the field that means they chasing the rebels just before storming Echo Base with the man in black on his way down. 2. Wedge is seen calling out to Luke as Luke boards his X-wing, where had Wedge been, could he been fighting along side Derlin before they all tried to escape after the shield generator was taken out. And now a question, why hasn't Lego done the ion cannon with the sheild generators then ? What do you all think ? Quote

I know I'm right like Legolas always is. Wegde is a pilot not an infantry solider. He was either warming his buns in Echo base or in a Snowspeeder. Edited December 1, 2009 by JCC1004 Quote

He was either warming his buns in Echo base or in a Snowspeeder. I agree. I will be interested though to see if that helmet is specifically detailed after someone in ESB or if Lego just created that design on their own. Quote
CommanderFox Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 (edited) I don't think thats Wedge in the BP... Just another random pilot imo. How come in the pic lightningtiger posted of Derlin, he has a green visor. Why can't Lego do a Green one if thats the colour of his in the movie. Oky Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 And now a question, why hasn't Lego done the ion cannon with the sheild generators then ?What do you all think ? Because they never really made an Echo Base (not in my book at least). They made a door and some trenches, but never the actual base, and those two things are part of it. Besides, the shield generator wouldn't even have any play feature, except maybe getting "blown up" like the Endor Bunker. Quote
ADHO15 Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 (edited) Wedge's helmet is really quite different to that one, and as others have said, has already been made well by TLG. To quote myself (): It looks to me like it's supposed to be Zev Senesca, a rebel pilot that was seen a couple of times on Hoth in ESB. He was the one who found Han and Luke and he also flew a T-47 in the Battle of Hoth, if I'm not mistaken. His helmet seems to match the one on the minifigure.http://gearmedia.ign.com/gear/image/object/142/14286113/ocd-rogue2-160boxart_160w.jpg' alt='ocd-rogue2-160boxart_160w.jpg'> Of course, the pilot is just supposed to be a generic fig, but can also be used as Zev to expand the Rebel pilot collection of those who want him to. Edited November 30, 2009 by ADHO15 Quote
SWMAN Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 I honestly think it is supposed to be a random pilot. Lego isn't always about making specific characters. I really hope that these battlepacks mean Lego is willing to take a stab at Hoth again. On a side note, I really like the improvements that have been made to the Rebel Pilot head and body, along with the soldier's helmets and the commanders body. Quote
CommanderFox Posted December 1, 2009 Posted December 1, 2009 Yes the rebel pilot torsoe is Nice! It'll be nice to have a new different one! lightningtiger, maybe if Lego did do an Ion Cannon, then it might...just might be a surprise set for next year. That would be Lovely!!! But for know i'll have to be content at drooling at Mutley's Ion Cannon. CommanderFox Quote
CloneCommanderDelta7 Posted December 1, 2009 Posted December 1, 2009 For us Swedish lego fans, the 2010 sets is avaiable from BR (A toystore) the 17 December this year! The heck we do Normally everything is launched in the US before the rest of the World. Wait and see - you'll have it as a surprise on Dec 1st - at least that's my guess. Awww, Australia never gets first launch dates! Oh, well. Those pictures look great. Looks like the first review is almost up for grabs again. Quote
CommanderFox Posted December 1, 2009 Posted December 1, 2009 Looks like the first review is almost up for grabs again. Yes I wonder who will be the first to get a 2010 sw review up! CommanderFox Quote
lightningtiger Posted December 1, 2009 Posted December 1, 2009 So our rebel pilot is this guy is it, then why is his helmet all grey then. Here is picture of Wedge wearing his helmet (even though it's from a New Hope - they keep their helmet like their X-wings for their entire life). And heres the minifig of Wedge. It would make more sense to Zev in the Wampa Attack if it's got the snow speeder in it. Quote
ADHO15 Posted December 1, 2009 Posted December 1, 2009 It would make more sense to Zev in the Wampa Attack if it's got the snow speeder in it. Maybe they will just use the fig in both sets. Quote
Darth Legolas Posted December 1, 2009 Posted December 1, 2009 Glad to see brickshelf working again. Thanks for the pictures too! I think we can all affirm what the Rebel Vehicle is now, finally. I don't know who the pilot and imp are, but they look really good! But does anyone have an explanation as to why the new star wars sets have regular Lego-eyed minifigs? Where are our dot eyes? Quote
DarthSion Posted December 1, 2009 Posted December 1, 2009 Who cares how the eyes look. The real question is who gets what sets. (exclusive that is) Quote
