Parax Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 So I have just been having a look at the High Res pictures of the new Imperial Shuttle 10212 on Gizmondo (here), and I'm trying to work out what parts the central spar of the wings is made from. To my eye it looks like Technic half width Beams, but way longer than those we have at present. almost up to the full length 15M! Anyone got any ideas or confirmation of this? P. Quote
Zerobricks Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 (edited) I just noticed! they look longer than 15 yes, maybe something arround 21? EDIT nope, they are 15... Edited June 18, 2010 by Zblj Quote
Parax Posted June 18, 2010 Author Posted June 18, 2010 (edited) I just noticed! they look longer than 15 yes, maybe something arround 21? Wow 21 would be phenominal! I didn't count them all But there are many different lengths! Parax. Edited June 18, 2010 by Parax Quote
Conchas Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 If I'm not doing wrong calculations/measurements we going to get 11L and 19L. Quote
mahjqa Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 15 studs maximum. I've been counting bricks and plates, and there's nothing bigger than usual. Quote
Conchas Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 Yes, right! I've been measuring more carefully and also concluded for 9L and 15L thin beams. Quote
efferman Posted June 19, 2010 Posted June 19, 2010 for my eyes there are only one stud wide technic beams picture is from TechnicBricks Quote
Conchas Posted June 19, 2010 Posted June 19, 2010 Back and forth mails, made me think twice if there are really new beams in there. Quote
Anio Posted June 19, 2010 Posted June 19, 2010 On the left wing and on the right wing, indeed, there is no new part. Sure. But on the middle wing, I'm also nearly sure that there is a new liftarm. This new liftarm were 19L. And I think there is 10 or 12 of them. Quote
Parax Posted June 19, 2010 Author Posted June 19, 2010 Yes I think looking at several different pictures that they are standard beams. the perspective in the big gizmondo image plays tricks because the double beams at the base are lit so that you cannot see the line between them inducing the effect of a double width beam, or that the others are half width. All I can say now is that this is a really big craft! P. Quote
Conchas Posted June 19, 2010 Posted June 19, 2010 Hi Anio, It looks now you are the one being misleaded. :) If you look at the slopes alignment, you will see that the liftarms are indeed the thick versions. Quote
Anio Posted June 19, 2010 Posted June 19, 2010 (edited) I looked at the photo again. And yes, there is only 15L liftarms. Otherwise, yes, I know that there is only thick liftarms, and no thin liftarms. :) Edited June 19, 2010 by Anio Quote
DLuders Posted June 19, 2010 Posted June 19, 2010 For those who want 19L thick (and longer) Liftarms, you always have this option: http://www.bricklink.com/store.asp?p=InanimateReason . Quote
KimT Posted June 19, 2010 Posted June 19, 2010 Erhm... are you guys aware that we host our own gallery here on Eurobricks? Pics of the shuttle - high res are there as well. No need to look all over the net. 2010 Star Wars Picture & Rumor Gallery Hopefully they'll upload the instructions to LEGO's cache soon and we'll learn what pieces they've used. Quote
dhc6twinotter Posted June 19, 2010 Posted June 19, 2010 It's nice to see more white Technic pieces. I wish we had more white sets. Quote
