Back in April and after the Hermes Store was completed, I was planning for an Armani Store as Hermes's successor. Unfortunately, I had no choice but to scrap the project due to technical difficulties.

A Burberry Store is something that I always want to build, but just too afraid to do it cos it definitely involves the use of tan as the main color, which I think would make things look boring (It turns out that dark tan is even trickier to use).

In contrast with my previous works, I didn't spent much time on brand research and I just briefly looked at some shop and check pattern photos, so most of the stuff here come from my imagination. Anyway, I gave my shot and I hope you guys like it (Does it live up to your expectation, WhiteFang?)!

P.S. I unwillingly have to reduce the floor space for handbags as I just can't find the traveller set in HK!

P.P.S. Nope...I haven't included the Hermione minifig here...Let's pretend the dummy at the shop window is Emma Watson...

A fantastic store MOC to go with your already amazing shopping district! The colors and details are amazing. The pattern on the floor is unbelievable. At first glance I really thought you had just laid in a piece of fabric. It is incredible that it is made of bricks. Fantastic build pirate_thumbup.gif

See it on Classic-Town.net

I think it was fate, here I was thinking that I hadn't blogged in a while and mayhaps there was something to make a post about and as I refresh the forum your thread appears!

I love this, it reminds me of so many highstreet buildings in the city.

Wonderful creation, really! You're creating a totally new Modular MOCs style with those stores of yours. As a Modular City builder let me be the first to say thanks for sharing those with us

Beautiful MOC 'jaredchan' - your Rodeo Drive style street is comming along nicely !

I really like the interior, but how have you hung the torso's ?

Looks like you raided alot of PoP sets for the parts eh ?

Excellent design work 'jaredchan' and I'm a conformist! ! :sweet:

Truly another piece of epic creation!

It doesn't have to be exactly the same as the real "Burberry" store but the overall building appearance combined with your own style have certainly brought across a much stronger new definition of one of my favourite Designer Labels. Although this is my favourite label, but it does not mean I have the cash to support them. LEGO is enough to suck me dry.

Jared, I am really very pleased with your latest addition. I like the outer appearance and I can see that the use of Grand Emporium parts have helped you alot in this project. But, do you know what I like best in your building interior? It's the unique Burberry design as the carpet.

I love the entire layout and all of the 4 Designer Labels together. If only, you could find the real Emma Watson as the poster girl. It will be awesome.

So, what other projects do you have in mind? Hugo Boss, Coach or Polo Ralph Lauren? Looking forward to it.

Wow, that is absolutely stunning jaredchan! pirate_thumbup.gif The whole build looks really very classy, fit for a designer-store. I simply love the tan-white color scheme. And all your designer stores look very good together, it's like walking through the streets of Paris...

Absolutely stunning! A great addition to the stores you've created so far, again with beatuful detail. The store in itself is gorgeous, but the whole display is even more amazing - everything fits together perfectly. :pir-wub:

Lovely building with great details both in the external and internal parts!

It blends perfectly with the other buildings and has a classic look which is just fantastic.

Oh, and my favourite part is the carpet (it is a carpet, not a mosaic, right?) at the entrance: really fits the overall look of the store

Good job!!! I am happy to see that you can keep this fashion legostyle. I like the burberry round tile so much!

Simply stunning! I am in love with all of the details, especially the gold plate you used at the top and the black and white plaid rug inside!

Great work!

Re Commodore Hornbricker: Thanks for your kind words! I was actually quite afraid that the use of tan, dark tan and gold would make the building look vulgar!

Re Peppermint_M: Thanks for blogging me, I am really honoured! :classic:

Re BlueBard: Thank you BlueBard and I wish I can make better successors to the existing stores!

Re lightningtiger: Thanks lightningtiger! The torsos are attached to tiles/ 1x1 plate modified with clip on top and a bar hidden in the shelves. Only 1 PoP set was "murdered" for the gold canopies, I got the other dark tan pieces from 10197 Fire Brigade and some 2x2 dark tan tiles from a local brick seller. I think the Fire Brigade is a perfect parts pack as it comes with lots of white windows, and bricks in 2 rare colors, dark tan and dark red.

Re ACCURATEin: Thanks ACCURATEin! The check pattern carpet is one of my favourite parts of the model as well!

Re wooootles: Thanks for the compliments! :sweet:

Re WhiteFang: Thank you very much for your kind words WhiteFang, I am glad that you like it. My building of this series are to satisfy my desire to live a luxurious live that isn't going to come true for now , and to have some artistic elements in my life (I think LEGO creation is a form of art, the only art that I am ever good at). The carpet could have been more accurate but I was just too lazy to work on the dark red stripes (which should all be thin stripes), I guess they are good enough for now.

I guess I have successfully deceived you and lightningtiger, no Grand Emporium is "harmed" during the Burberry construction process, the tan bricks are from 2 old MOCs which I think they are gone for good  .

I really have no idea what to build next and I am not going to rule out any possibility this time  , I think I will seriously consider your suggestions  !

Re KielDaMan, homoludens, benny, prateek and Izy: Thank you guys! I am happy that the buildings look good together while they all have individuality. I wish I can build better in the future!

Re LuxorV: Thanks! Actually I didn't think much about the textile of the check pattern when I was building it, it's a carpet I guess :sweet:

Re darthperson: Thank you darthperson, the gold plate at the top is actually what started it all, too high for a corner stone, huh?

well done jaredchan, I realy like the moulding around the middle window on the top floor. It is interesting to hear your reply in regard to the gold plate starting it all. I wonder how many of us are inspired by a particular lego element.

Long time no see jared! It's always nice to see another one of your brilliant modulars mate :] The side-by-side shot is stunning, I was definitely looking forward to that! Now all that remains is for you to add some vehicles to that Town corner of yours

Jared, while the whole store is an amazing build, I really have to hand it to you on the Burberry pattern. As soon as I read the title of your post, before even seeing the pics, I wondered how you would do the famous Burberry plaid, and you just nailed it with the tile/carpet pattern. How long did that take to work out?

I really love that little set up you have there- it really executes the "small town" feel perfectly :classic:

Having grown up in one, I can say that your MOC is somewhat nostalgic. I love the way you used the gold domes on the Burberry™ Store, not to mention all of the translucent window blocks!! In all, this is a beautiful MOC and you are quite talented!

Great work!
