benny Posted June 24, 2010 Posted June 24, 2010 I completed it in March 2010 but i forgot to post it. Now, i post it. It is a chinese restaurant in china town at USA or europe. Its size is 16x32. I used the very sharp color, red, green and yellow as the main color. For the shop front, it has the big chinese banner and big flower picture. It has the trolley to steam the dim sum at shop front. A staff took the take-away food to the customer's office. For the G/F of the restaurant, it has the kitchen and dinning room. The kitchen has very nice equipment. For the dinnig room, it has the fish tank, flower wall and flower rod. Some guests enjoy the dim sum. For the 1/F, it has the VIP room for the guest enjoying the seafood. For the inside of the restaurant, it has the very beautiful picture. Please enjoy my MOC and chinese food. Quote
Skalldyr Posted June 24, 2010 Posted June 24, 2010 OHHH NOOOO! They are serving Crabs!!! Nevertheless, beautiful building. Quote
lightningtiger Posted June 24, 2010 Posted June 24, 2010 Good one 'benny' - nice building with pretty flowers as exterior trim. My son was looking over my shoulder and said Indiana Jones dining with Johny Thunder ! Great work again and I'm a conformist! ! Quote
Tycho McKorley Posted June 24, 2010 Posted June 24, 2010 Nice work. The kitchen is my favorite detail you've included (I love the exhaust fan). If I could make a recommendation though, the yellow walls on the side might be better in another color. Just my opinion though. Quote

The reason of choosing the yellow color in kitchen is that i had so many yellow bricks. I wanted to use up them, i applied so many yellow bricks in it! Thanks for your enjoying my detailed kitchen! Commodore Hornbricker Posted June 24, 2010 Posted June 24, 2010 Very cool MOC. I love the curved roof line of the blue and white building and the windows on the red and green building are excellent. The overall style of these two buildings are very unique and clever. Quote

XimenaPaulina Posted June 25, 2010 Posted June 25, 2010 (edited) Wow, this is indeed a very good MOC benny. Though this is smaller than you post office, I must say this one looks better. You really captured the Oriental-look of it, and I simply love the front floral design - it's very clevelry executed! The interiors are quite amazing too. Great job! beans Posted June 25, 2010 Posted June 25, 2010 I've been considering developing a China Town area of my city. This certainly gives me a lot of ideas! Love the fish tank! Quote

WhiteFang Posted June 25, 2010 Posted June 25, 2010 Glad to see this dim sum restaurant from you. It has a very bright red store front with lots of flowers and at the same time, packing up with nice interior. Somehow, seeing this MOC of yours made me feel hungry to have some. KotZ Posted June 25, 2010 Posted June 25, 2010 That's really awesome, benny. I love all the little designs and details you have! Now you made me hungry. Wonderful job! Quote
guy montag Posted June 25, 2010 Posted June 25, 2010 (edited) This is very inspiring. I think the yellow is fine and you've captured the feel of an eceonomical eatery. I would probably cheat myself and use stickers. The little cart is great and the kitchen is well thoughtout. I'm also keen to do an asian moc of some kind. Maybe a noodle or a sushi bar. Princess Muttonchops Posted June 25, 2010 Posted June 25, 2010 Exquisite work as always benny! The decorations are so over the top, I love it (all those flowers...), and all the detail you've crammed into the both the exterior and interior is just amazing! Quote

Actually, i spent low budget in the internal design. Most of them are the cheap parts and simple work. I like to spend more budget in the outside as most of the buildings are usually displayed in the showcase. Edited June 25, 2010 by benny Quote
Rick Posted June 25, 2010 Posted June 25, 2010 The color scheme is great for an Asian restaurant and all the detailing on the exterior is very creative. Quote
brickbuilder10 Posted June 25, 2010 Posted June 25, 2010 very nice use of the flower pedals in front Quote
dr_spock Posted June 26, 2010 Posted June 26, 2010 Very nice build, Benny. Does that Chinese sign mean "center"? Quote
