AllanSmith Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 Skip truck I made this morning. View of fuel tank and driveshaft View of controls View of broom and spade Enjoy Quote
lightningtiger Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 Best dam skip design I've so far being on EB , the truck front end is nice and different, plus the skip bin is excellent so too the load/unload mechanism ! Great work 'Allan' and kkep on bricking ! Quote
meyerc13 Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 Great work! The level of detail you add is amazing, I'm positive I see a drive shaft running under the frame in one of the pictures. Little things like that while unnecessary certainly add to the realism. Quote
Selander Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 Nice to see designs with added functionality. Also it has a good resemblance to the truck IRL. Well done. Quote

Great work 'Allan' and kkep on bricking ! Cab design is based on the City Sweeper in soon to be released set 8404. Great work! Yes there is a drive shaft. It looked bare underneath when viewed from a low angle so I added one. Quote
Night City Dream Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 Skip truck I made this morning. Enjoy Very nice and realistic. Hehe, we cal it garbage truck in Russia. Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted June 28, 2010 Posted June 28, 2010 Nice skip truck AllanSmith! The design is very effective as it allows the basic function of the skip truck. As always, good job! Quote
sebby Posted June 28, 2010 Posted June 28, 2010 Loving it. Such a simple but effective design but its the little details that make it stand out. I think TLG should release this as a set. Quote
greg3 Posted June 28, 2010 Posted June 28, 2010 Great little MOC... very realistic (I might have to do something similar for my town) Nice work!! Quote
andythenorth Posted June 28, 2010 Posted June 28, 2010 Really nice MOC. Tempted to build this :) I've tweeted it here: http://twitter.com/andythenorth Quote
LEGO Guy Bri Posted March 3, 2016 Posted March 3, 2016 (edited) Any instructions???? For this particular truck, I would unfortunately say no. The OP created it 4+ years ago and hasn't logged on here since 2013. Though it looks relatively simple with the correct parts. The lift mech pieces are all visible, other than that MOCing up a small flatbed truck and container should be easy Edited March 3, 2016 by LEGO Guy Bri Quote
paul_delahaye Posted March 3, 2016 Posted March 3, 2016 yeah, I just looked back at my skip truck I made a few years ago, thinking it was really good, and now I've decided it's not as good as yours. I feel a contest coming on Quote
MGCJerry Posted March 6, 2016 Posted March 6, 2016 Nice truck, I like it a lot. Might end up building one of these if I have the parts available. :) Quote
