Miss Jadis, I am curious why you would be so keen on voting. Like Brigelda said, convicting on a mere guess on the first day, with a very small idea of what we're up against, is most likely to end up condemning an innocent soul.

Which is why I am not voting today. I was simply saying that if everyone had been more bold about stating suspicions, then this day would have possibly been more useful in the long term. As I have said already, if someone dies in the night then we will not be able to make anything of it.

Though that is just my view on the matter.

At this point, I highly doubt that anyone will be voted off today. There is really no leading evidence to point in any direction except perhaps a blinded witch hunt (no offense witches  ).

Sorry for the lateness, a Wrackspurt got me and I found myself on the Astronomy Tower.

:oh3: Oh no! Professor Lastrada and 3 students gone...and the murderers some of ourselves? Unbelievable. I too, think it's too early to vote out somebody, but maybe something will crop up tomorrow. If not, we might have to take a chance.

Well why don't you just vote for who you think it is and maybe others will follow you? I personally will not vote until tomorrow when we have a possible better understanding of the situation.

I must agree with you my four legged friend, I want to vote off the hallowed, but with no information, that just seems impossible today.

It seems fairly certain that this first day will close without a decision, and honestly, I think that's perfectly reasonable given the lack of evidence.

As part of the faculty here, I feel that it is my responsibility to try to protect you from both danger and your own potential mistakes. Tonight is very important, as all nights will be until this scourge has been stopped.

  • Use your powers and possessions wisely and together, we can defeat the forces of evil before they destroy us.
  • Pay attention! The things that are said and done should lead us to enlightenment we need to get this job done.
  • Trust no one without proof. Sadly, this institution has been infiltrated by the very powers we oppose, that means we're all suspects until we can prove otherwise.
  • Don't be afraid. Fear is one of their weapons, and of all of them, it's the one most easily defeated if you don't allow your emotions to take over.
  • Control your anger. Anger, like fear, clouds the mind and leads to incorrect assumptions that can only hurt us.

Be careful out there tonight.

Voting is now closed. With no votes cast, the day ends without conviction.

That evening everybody gathered to a quiet dinner in the ominously spacious Great Hall. Just the day before the hall had been filled with laughter and hubbub, but now everybody kept to themselves and only spoke a few words in whispers. They had not managed to find a culprit from among themselves that day, and the tension in the hall was handfelt. The big question in almost everybody's minds was "is this person sitting next to me a killer?".

After a while, Headmistress McGonagall rose to speak. She announced that something had been stolen from her office sometime during the previous couple of days. It had been so craftily done that she hadn't noticed it had happened until today. The stolen item was a book that had belonged to the late Headmaster Dumbledore. McGonagall had only noticed it was gone because she remembered the book carried the same symbol as the Death's Hallowed had left to the wall of the D.A.D.A. class: the symbol of the Deathly Hallows.

It was obvious that the murders, the abduction of Professor Lastrada and the theft of the book were linked together. But how?

But now it was time to retire to the dorms. The headmistress adviced everybody to stay in their rooms for the whole night and lock their doors behind them.

You can now send in the night action of your choice via a private message to the host, if you want to.
