MattZitron Posted April 3, 2006 Posted April 3, 2006 Link on AICN to the trailer and a bit of news on the plot. Here's hoping it'll be funnier than the Simpsons has been for the past few years. Matt Quote
xwingyoda Posted April 3, 2006 Posted April 3, 2006 Tks Matt for the news !! Being a fan of the Simpsons I am abit surprised by that news *wacko* After what, 13 seasons at least, they are making a movie, thats odd !! Homer's voice seems to be the normal Homer (strange since the actor is not doing Homer anymore). Oh well, I need to see more before being real pleased ;-) *yoda* Quote
Sarg_Kulo Posted April 3, 2006 Posted April 3, 2006 Xwing, to me homer sounds slightly different, I don't think it's the same actor. Anyway, I'll definatly see this when it comes out but somehow I don't think it is going to be all that good :-/ Quote

Kikuichimonji Posted April 3, 2006 Posted April 3, 2006 Sounds like the same Homer indeed. I'll definitely be going to see this one! And will someone bring the Simpsons back on dutch tv, please? Excellent... ;-) Quote
DoubleT Posted April 3, 2006 Posted April 3, 2006 Allready you can see a teaser trailer here: http://www.davestrailerpage.co.uk/ Quote
hewkii9 Posted April 3, 2006 Posted April 3, 2006 Oh No. This will ruin it. Anyone who has seen the Spongebob movie will agree with me. Quote
The Hordesman Posted April 4, 2006 Posted April 4, 2006 Oh No. This will ruin it. Anyone who has seen the Spongebob movie will agree with me. Totally depends. My brother never liked the series, but he did like the movie for some reason. Iam unable to see it due to apple-crappiness. I dont want to buy nor wait 20 more hours for a file that wont install, is there no version for VLC or any other good program? Quote
Vader Posted April 4, 2006 Posted April 4, 2006 At last there doing a movie :-) Im not sure where you guys got the idea that Dan had stopped doing Homers voice, its always been him since the start and no other voice actor has stepped in for him. The cast did go on strike last year and it was rumored that other voice actors would be brought in but thankfully this didnt happen and the original cast came back to work (with a big pay rise). Theres been a few cartoon movies over the years that have done very well like the South Park one or The Family Guy movie, both of these scored well at the box office and continued in the same line of the series's. Lets face it a movie version is just an extended version of an episode so as long as the right people are involved it should be ok. Quote
xwingyoda Posted April 4, 2006 Posted April 4, 2006 Vader I read that on CNN.com a couple of months ago. Was trying to find the lik for TT but couldn't :-$ I'll find it eventually !! I hope Dan will continue for the upcoming seasons 18 & 19 ;-) *yoda* Quote
Wolf04 Posted April 4, 2006 Posted April 4, 2006 Alas!!! After more than 17 years, a movie will come out. I'm hoping it would be haleriously funny and a top movie. I'll definately be going to watch it. The teaser seems funny so I'm expecting great things. Quote
erikutt Posted April 4, 2006 Posted April 4, 2006 IMDB still list Dan as the voice... You trust IMDB? You should not. They listen to ruomors. A vile they had listed Samuel Jackson as Bernard in LOST. That's just tarded. Erik Quote
MattZitron Posted April 5, 2006 Author Posted April 5, 2006 Tks Matt for the news !!Being a fan of the Simpsons I am abit surprised by that news *wacko* After what, 13 seasons at least, they are making a movie, thats odd !! Homer's voice seems to be the normal Homer (strange since the actor is not doing Homer anymore). Oh well, I need to see more before being real pleased ;-) *yoda* Simpsons is on it's 17th series with 2 more guarenteed after that. I imagine that after those 2 they'll be no more. Or maybe they'll do 20 for a round number. New on the director and writers here. I remember when Fox bought the Simpsons Movie domain name and that was maybe 7 or 8 years ago. So this has been in the offing a VERY long time. God its going to be megablocks. Quote
JoeMI6 Posted April 5, 2006 Posted April 5, 2006 This could either make or break the Simpsons franchise, i'm gonna go see it when it comes out no matter what reviews might say, but i really hope they handle it well. One of the worst things that could happen is that the stroyline will be crap, as they have had so many good storylines already used in the TV show. Quote
