Catarino Posted July 12, 2010 Author Posted July 12, 2010 how is the wheel made? It has already been said, you just need to reed the topic. :) Quote
heofthehothbrick Posted July 12, 2010 Posted July 12, 2010 Fantastic MOC. The design is genius. Looks like it would fit right in on a film like 2001, etc. Quote
lego-maniac Posted July 12, 2010 Posted July 12, 2010 this moc is very interessant ! Other the design just incredible, the ring is just THE touch ! I suppose you've used a wheel inside the 'ship" to make turn the ring but I still do not understand 2 things : How did you do to keep the "ship" horizontal while moving ? How did you do to maintain the ring at the front and the back ?? This is very very clever ! do you have a link to the contest please ? Quote

Well, it really has three but it you see this link in my BS folder you will understand what I mean: >>>>> LINK <<<<< The one with the gears is for traction, the other one is just to keep it balanced. That helps maintain the ring in its place as well as some technic work: >>>>> LINK <<<<< Hope it's clear now! ;) And here's the link for the entries in the contest held at my LUG Comunidade0937: LINK Quote
Captain Green Hair Posted July 12, 2010 Posted July 12, 2010 looks like something from a 1950's sci-fi movie, great! Would it be possible to make the wheel ride less wobbly you think? Quote
the Inventor Posted July 12, 2010 Posted July 12, 2010 I really like it, the design is great as well of the execution with the working motor. looks like something from a 1950's sci-fi movie, great! Indeed, looks very retro sci-fi. the Inventor Quote
Delta 38 Posted July 13, 2010 Posted July 13, 2010 Great! The movement is a little jerky, but that's understandable and isn't a big problem. Quote
