It seems LEGO is doing an exclusive with Japan's ANA airlines for their sky shop. Not worth the cost, but surely something people will want.

From looking at the pictures, this looks similar to previous ANA sets in that its a 3181 Passenger Plane with a custom box, a custom ANA sticker sheet and a hefty price tag.

From looking at the pictures, the parts selection seems identical to the 3181 with the detail being created by stickers.

In theory if someone was to scan in the ANA stickers, it would be possible to re-create this set yourself.

Yeah the plane looks really cool because of the nice prints, or are those stickers? If those were stickers it would be probably difficult to put on the multiple pieces, sturdy stable hands are what you need.

If you click on the link you can see a thumbnail of the sticker sheet. It would be prohibitively costly for TLG to print all those little window frames with different prints.

Thats a carbon copy of an older airport set I have (and demolished for spare parts ) I seriously doubt that they will evr include 21 minifigures in such a small set. Also, I think mine didn't come with 1000 parts. Probably a prank, but I will certainly buy it if it isn't .

It's real. Lego does a few Japan exclusives. There was a plane only set last summer, but it was terribly overpriced

Interesting set - a 2010 plane with a 2006 airport and stacks of figures......hmmmm, I might do some digging myself !

This set just doesn't look real to me. That fig count seems impossible. Perhaps it's just some good photo-editing.

thats brickwiki for you.... I seen the news on there site and yes it was posted new this month.... I kinda had a feeling it was BS about the fig count.... Also sorry for making a old thread... like I stated it was posted new on brickwikki. Just wanted some input on it.... being that it came with 21minifigs it said, I wanted to make sure I WAS reading bull$hit

That was my thought too lightningtiger. I performed a quick search and came up with this. It seems that the "1000" frame on the box is the number of copies produced meaning that it was a limited edition and every set was numbered. The copy that is for sale on BL is number 369. It has 5 minifigs and 676 pieces.

One more thing I noticed is that BL has photos of the instructions and the box from the "standard" edition. Perhaps the ANA boxart is an extra cardboard case that the standard box slides in?
