evildead Posted July 11, 2010 Posted July 11, 2010 Hi guys! This is my last creation and it was made for a contest in the 0937 Community - Vehicles with only one wheel. This is my entry and it's a space tour vehicle. UniBall Check my Flickr for more pictures. Quote
SirWacky Posted July 11, 2010 Posted July 11, 2010 Awesome I love it! Great use of the Indy boulder! Quote
Catarino Posted July 11, 2010 Posted July 11, 2010 I told you already, this one is just great!! My favorite in the contest! Quote
Aanchir Posted July 11, 2010 Posted July 11, 2010 Nice job! But the real question is, does it balance? If so, then it's incredibly brilliant. I like the color scheme as well. It goes nicely with the white spaceman figure. Almost reminds me of this mech I made, but the subtle use of lime works a lot better than my prolific use of yellow, and the clear cockpit glass helps complete the mostly-neutral color scheme. Quote
ProducePrincess Posted July 11, 2010 Posted July 11, 2010 Sure it doesn't have power funtions but that doesn't mean it can't have fantastic written all over it. The semi-circle cockpit goes really well with the ball wheel and i'm suprised you got it all to balance. I know it would be hard because of limited parts selection but i think it would look great in white. nice work. Quote
M:tron engineer Posted July 11, 2010 Posted July 11, 2010 Simple yet effective and good lookin' too.I like the style;to use ball instead of wheel/tyre. Also canopy works perfect on this MOC.From where is "ball"? Quote
SirWacky Posted July 11, 2010 Posted July 11, 2010 From where is "ball"? Indiana jones temple escape And adventure scorpion palace. Quote
evildead Posted July 12, 2010 Author Posted July 12, 2010 Thanks for the comments guys! But the real question is, does it balance? I'm afraid not! The weight is on the top of the ball, so it just impossible to balance it... From where is "ball"? Sir Wacky is correct, it's from the Indiana Jones Temple Escape set. The other ball from the Scorpion Palace is darker... Quote
castlestrike666 Posted July 13, 2010 Posted July 13, 2010 Funny, and maybe off topic, but kinda reminds me of the Audi concept 'car' called 'Snook', which is basically a one-wheeled vehicle for 2 people. And your moc has a slight similarity with it, which I like! - Just as a reference - Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted July 13, 2010 Posted July 13, 2010 Oh my, that Uniball is absolutely awesome! The design is very unique, and it really looks like a space tour vehicle. Amazing job evildead! Quote
Batbrick Posted July 13, 2010 Posted July 13, 2010 Veru unique, and neat looking too evildead! The use of green oddly works really well, and despite the bizarre look it comes across as quite believable. Excellent use of the Indiana Jones boulder! Batbrick Away! Quote
lightningtiger Posted July 13, 2010 Posted July 13, 2010 Excellent and clever design 'evildead' and I'm a conformist! ! Quote
Brig. Brick Posted July 14, 2010 Posted July 14, 2010 very good design, very stylish and a great use of colors Quote
Dannylonglegs Posted July 14, 2010 Posted July 14, 2010 Very stylish, nice lighting too! ~Insectoid Aristocrat Quote
Hoboman Posted July 15, 2010 Posted July 15, 2010 I think this looks great. I agree with those who have commented on the colors as well. I also think it was quite creative to use the ball rather then a single wheel or track. Well Done. Quote
Hoboman Posted July 17, 2010 Posted July 17, 2010 The thought just crossed my mind. If you could lock the axl so the ball did not roll and then filled the ball with an amount of led pellets/fishing weights then you might be able to make it stand on it's own. That would be a cool thing to have sitting on the desk. Anyway, just a thought. Quote

Thank you guys for all the comments! Quote
Hoboman Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 (edited) Well, that's an idea!, but I would have to pinch a hole in the ball and I don't want that... but thanks anyway! Oh well. As I do not have that part I was unsure if there would be a way without damaging the ball. Regardless, I do love what you came up with quite a bit. Edited July 23, 2010 by Daniel's Dad Quote
