QQS Posted July 11, 2010 Posted July 11, 2010 Hello Everyone! Fortunatelly my end-of-term examinations are finally over, so I have now time for building. One day, when I was building with my friend Legate Scimitar (another Lugpol member) I noticed, that one belville fig hadn't used before. I like mechs, Scimitar too, soo we decided to make something special. I kept in mind that there was one Belville-Mecha on Brickshelf before, but we made it ourself. Brickshelf FlickR ... our mecha is fully playable and solid. I think that the gun will be more playable if we give a PF puller (Motor Wind-Up with Orange Release Button)... Thanks for watching ;) ! P.S. Sitting in cellar 10 hours a day and building MOCs are as harmful as sunstroke xD Quote
M:tron engineer Posted July 11, 2010 Posted July 11, 2010 Wicked :D .You have managed to transform non violent theme to quite obvious violent :P. Nice exoskeleton/hardsuit, i like combination of system/bionicle parts and great color scheme.Nicely done. Quote
TheWarden Posted July 11, 2010 Posted July 11, 2010 Kick-Megablocks! I love smash-ups and this is no exception. I could be a bit critical; it looks like it could use some color detail to make it pop. A streak of white maybe or haveya got any pink? Quote
QQS Posted July 11, 2010 Author Posted July 11, 2010 Nicely done. Thanks ;) it looks like it could use some color detail to make it pop. A streak of white maybe or haveya got any pink? ...don't worry, we've got another Belville to transform :) But I don't really like the legs. ... I'll do what I can to improve them in next mecha Thanks for all comments :) Quote
lightningtiger Posted July 11, 2010 Posted July 11, 2010 Well done 'QQS' - some sweet and cute in to sweet, cute and DEADLY - nice one ! Keep these wild creations comming and I'm a conformist! ! Quote
ProducePrincess Posted July 11, 2010 Posted July 11, 2010 It's an intresting idea but everything on it isn't balanced , the gun is far too big , the legs are the kind you would use on a quad mech not a biped , It's just kinda all over the place. If you kept it balanced and maybe went with a more theme apropriate colour scheme you could make one badass belville hardsuit. Quote
Henchmen4Hire Posted July 12, 2010 Posted July 12, 2010 It's an intresting idea but everything on it isn't balanced Right...because that isn't how real-life mechas are built, right? xD If it can stand and can blast the hell out of things, it's a-okay in my book, great job QQS! Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted July 13, 2010 Posted July 13, 2010 Haha, nice crossover mech! Good job QQS! This one reminds me of the "big baby doll in TS3 (I forgot the name)", she looks like she's cute and harmless but is totally kickass strong. I love the overall look of it, never mind the small kinks in the details. Hope to see your next Belville mech. Quote
ProducePrincess Posted July 13, 2010 Posted July 13, 2010 Right...because that isn't how real-life mechas are built, right? xD If it can stand and can blast the hell out of things, it's a-okay in my book, great job QQS! By balance i mean many things are out of proportion not balanced as in if it can stand up on one foot , actually can this hardsuit stand on one foot? Quote
Batbrick Posted July 13, 2010 Posted July 13, 2010 QQS, this is one of the more original, funny and great designs I've seen recently. The stark contrast of innocent Belville with outrageous armed-to-the-teeth mecha is ingenious, and the execution is just as hilarious and awesome. Batbrick Away! Quote
QQS Posted July 13, 2010 Author Posted July 13, 2010 (edited) Well done 'QQS' - some sweet and cute in to sweet, cute and DEADLY - nice one ! ... thanks- we made new version today, it'll be more deadly :> everything on it isn't balanced , the gun is far too big , the legs are the kind you would use on a quad mech not a biped , It's just kinda all over the place. ... new version has better legs- I'll show it soon If it can stand and can blast the hell out of things, it's a-okay in my book, great job QQS! ... it's fully playable... and has rather strong construction :) This one reminds me of the "big baby doll in TS3 (I forgot the name)", she looks like she's cute and harmless but is totally kickass strong. I love the overall look of it, never mind the small kinks in the details. Hope to see your next Belville mech. ... Did it look like the mecha from brickshelf gallery?? We made some correction today... and made her a sister ;) actually can this hardsuit stand on one foot? ... sure- just see the second image on the top :) QQS, this is one of the more original, funny and great designs I've seen recently. The stark contrast of innocent Belville with outrageous armed-to-the-teeth mecha is ingenious, and the execution is just as hilarious and awesome. ... we made today a sister for our cyber-belville: my friend loves it much more than previous version. When I get the pictures, I'll show You ;) Thank You very much for comments and new ideas- it's very important for us to make a good construction... and your ideas are very helpful :) P.S. Sorry for my English :P EDIT Updated version: Edited July 14, 2010 by QQS Quote
lisqr Posted July 15, 2010 Posted July 15, 2010 I knew those Belville figs would have some use some where. Great work. Personally I'd like to see a helmet or something on her head. Quote
